Chapter 175: Yanis Was Pregnan
Ivan was stunned when Yanis asked him. "You didn't bring your cell phone."
Ivan then handed Yanis his cell phone and unlocked the screen. "Do you want to make a call? Use
mine."
Yanis looked at Ivan's phone but didn't take it.
Whom was she going to call?
She divorced Zane this morning and found out she was pregnant this afternoon.
It was so dramatic.
Yanis was like a kite that had broken its string. She didn't know whom to ask for help at this moment…
"Yanis, are you going to call Bonnie?"
Ivan wanted to say Zane, but he said Bonnie instead.
Everything on the Internet had been removed that morning, but he still saw it.
Although Ivan had been abroad all his life, he knew a little about Iris. Moreover, Iris was Magnus's
grandson. Ivan knew that there was a misunderstanding between Yanis and Iris.
He was going to call Yanis to check on her. He knew that Yanis was not in a good situation after the
news was released. It was unlikely that the Lawrence family would give her some space to be alone.
He kept putting it off, using work to force him not to pay attention to Yanis.
He was planning to wait until late at night to contact Yanis, but instead, he got a call from Bonnie right
after he dropped off a client.
Now he was the first to know that Yanis was pregnant.
Ivan had mixed feelings about it.
He thought he was a gentleman. He just kept his feelings about Yanis to himself.
As long as she was fine.
But he didn't want to be a gentleman anymore when he knew she wasn't happy with Zane.
Now seeing Yanis like this, Ivan actually had some regrets.
Because if he hadn't chosen to be a gentleman, maybe things wouldn't have turned out the way.
Yanis's eyes were wandering. She withdrew her eyes only after hearing Ivan's words. She looked at
him with glazed eyes and gently shook her head. "No, you go... to pay the bill."
Ivan said, "wait for me here. I'll go with you to do the check-ups." Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
Yanis nodded.
Ivan looked at Yanis, hesitated, and then asked, "shall I inform Zane about this?"
Yanis got excited when she heard the name. "No! Ivan! Don't tell him!"
Ivan saw how excited Yanis was and quickly said, "ok, I'm just asking. I won't tell him."
Yanis relaxed when Ivan promised her. "You can tell Bonnie."
Ivan answered yes. When the nurse pushed the wheelchair in. Ivan was still there. "Have you paid the
fee, Sir? If so, shall we go to do the check-ups?"
Ivan looked apologetically at the nurse. "Excuse me, I'm going now. Please wait here with her for a bit.
I'll accompany her when I'm back."
The nurse nodded. "OK, go ahead and pay the bill. I'll be here to keep an eye on your wife."
Ivan apologized again and went to the bill.
Yanis was just lying on the bed, trying to sort something out, but she couldn't find any source. It was
just like a mess. The more she tried to sort it out, the more confusing it became.
On the other side.
Ivan called Bonnie while he was on his way to pay the bill.
He waited a while before Bonnie picked up the call. Bonnie asked immediately in a worrying voice,
"Ivan, how is Yanis?"
Ivan clenched the phone for a few seconds and slowly responded, "Yanis... She's pregnant."
Bonnie didn't speak for quite a while when Ivan said this.
Ivan didn't speak, and he didn't hang up either.
Ivan entered the elevator, and it stopped on the first floor. He got out of the
Elevator and said, "the doctor said that the baby was not stable. If she wants to keep the baby, she has
to do some treatments. But it's not guaranteed. I am going to pay the fee and take her to have some
check-ups."
"I'm on my way."
Bonnie hung up the phone.
"Hi, when you're done here, just leave with the door closed behind you." Bonnie left the worker alone,
then grabbed her car keys, and headed out the door.
On her way to the hospital, Bonnie hesitated for a moment before making a phone call.
The person over the phone sounded respectful. "Miss Cooke?"
Bonnie responded, "Dr. Lewis, do you know any of the leading experts in obstetrics and gynecology?"
Dr. Lewis was stunned. "A gynecologist?"
Bonnie said, "yes, do you know anyone?"
There was silence for a few seconds, then Dr. Lewis said, "Miss Cooke, are you pregnant?"
Bonnie was about to deny it, but she didn't. Instead, she said, "Dr. Lewis, we've known each other a
long time, and you know how my grandpa gets when things go wrong, so I'd rather you keep it secret
from him, okay?"
By saying this, Bonnie indirectly admitted that she was pregnant.
Dr. Lewis was the assistant director of the private hospital at Cooke Residence.
The Lewis family was related to the Cookes family, so he had some contact with them.
"Where are you? I'll have someone pick you up and arrange for you to be examined by the most
competent doctor here."
Bonnie hesitated for a few seconds. "You know what? I'll come back later."
Dr. Lewis responded, "okay, I'll have someone set things up over here, but I won't talk to Mr. Cooke
about it for now."
Bonnie whispered thanks and hung up.
Bonnie was thinking about it along the way to the hospital.
While worrying about Yanis, she scolded Zane for being an asshole.
She finally arrived at the hospital, but there was no parking space at this time of day, so Bonnie parked
the car in a temporary spot.
She got out of the car, handed her keys to the area security guard, and went straight to Yanis and Ivan.
When Bonnie found them, Yanis was drawing blood.
"Yanis."
Bonnie went up and whispered.
Yanis's reaction was slower than usual.
She looked around when she heard Bonnie's voice. "What are you doing here?"
Bonnie tried to say something. But seeing Yanis's pale face, she opened her mouth and didn't say
anything.
After Yanis finished collecting the blood, she pressed down on the pinhole. "Let's go."
"When will the result come out?"
Yanis shook her head.
The doctor answered, "tomorrow morning."
Bonnie said thanks and looked at Yanis. "Let's check you in at the hospital, ok?"
Yanis nodded.
