Chapter 51
Chapter 51 An Uninvited Wedding Guest More than a dozen bodyguards in black pushed the door open and came in. Kevin put his hands in his pockets and swaggered inside. The guests in the hall were all scared silent, not daring to make a sound. Eva and Daniel were at a loss and stood rooted to their spots. Amelia’s face turned pale when she saw Kevin.
She didn’t think he would show up, and she never expected him to rush into the wedding venue unannounced. She feared that Kevin would ruin the wedding, so she quickly got up from her seat and walked to him. “Mr. Harris!” Amelia stopped Kevin, who was walking towards the stage. “The contract has been signed. I’ll give it to you tonight.” Kevin glanced up and down at her. Amelia was wearing a champagne-colored bridesmaid dress that hugged her figure, and a spark of desire instantly ignited in his gray-black eyes. He wrapped one arm around Amelia’s waist and embraced her. While touching her, he said, “If you signed it already, why didn’t you give it to me earlier?” Amelia held back her disgust and carefully dealt with it. “I had to ensure that the wedding went smoothly. Otherwise, what if you take the contract and break your promise, disturbing my friend’s wedding?” “You don’t trust me?” “Of course not,” Amelia replied easily. “Mr. Harris, if you want the contract, you have to wait until tonight,” Amelia said. She was wearing soft, delicate makeup, but her expression was all toughness and determination. There was no negotiating with her. Kevin smiled, amused. “How do I know you’re not lying to me?”
Amelia took out her phone, opened a document, and showed him a fake contract she had made in advance. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
“You can see it here. This contract was issued by the Evans Group, and it’s stamped with their official seal.” `Her main work in the president’s office was to receive business partners and manage the contracts. The Evans Group was the largest partner of the Moore Group, Of course, she knew what the official seal looked like. She drew up a contract based on the other bidding models of the Evans Group and asked someone to make a seal.
She converted the contract with the fake seals into a PDF file that looked just like the real one. Not even Kevin could tell the difference. She showed Kevin each page one by one. When he was done, he seemed convinced, and gave her a satisfied smile.
