Chapter 43
Chapter 43
Mason stared at her for a moment.
Then, he lightly chuckled, "Women pay attention to these things?"
His voice suddenly deepened, carrying a hint of warmth. "So, Zoe, when did you learn these skills? Was it during your time as Mrs. Lockwood?"
This remark was a bit flirtatious, something typical between spouses. Zoe had no interest in playing along. She turned her face away, looking out the car window, and calmly said, "I learned them along the way."
Mason seemed like he wanted to say more. However, the traffic light turned green, and the cars behind them impatiently honked their horns. Mason had to press the accelerator lightly and drive away.
…
Mason brought Zoe to Brookesville's most upscale hair salon, and the manager personally tended to them.
The manager was silver-tongued and eloquent. "Mrs. Lockwood, you have fair skin and a slender frame. We just received a new Marchesa couture dress that is perfect for you."
As he spoke, he had it brought out for them to see. Indeed, it was beautiful. Mason turned to Zoe, his voice gentle.
"Go and try it on."
After a moment, inside the fitting room. Zoe had changed into the gown but could not reach the zipper at the back. After a few attempts, she had to call for help quietly. After waiting for a while,
footsteps approached the door.
The door opened, and to her surprise, it was Mason.
Their eyes met, and for that moment, both were a bit stunned. The fitting room was bright, surrounded by mirrors reflecting Zoe from all angles, disheveled and unkempt.
Soft and clinging to her body, the gown layered gracefully without being too heavy, showcasing a sense of lightness. The zipper at the back remained untouched, revealing an enticing glimpse of her bare skin.
Mason locked the door behind him, approaching Zoe without a word. He reached out from behind, embracing her in her disarray.
Mason was tall. Even with Zoe wearing high heels, she only reached just above his shoulders. He easily held onto her, not rushing to zip up the delicate chain at the back. Instead, he leaned down to her neck, gently nibbling.
Zoe's body trembled slightly. She spoke with a mixture of shyness and anger. "Mason, I'll scream."
Misinterpreting her words, Mason teased, "Then scream, Zoe. I like hearing you—"
Embarrassed and annoyed, Zoe retorted, "Mason, let go of me. Someone can come over at any moment."
Mason was well aware. He enjoyed seeing her in such an exposed state but had not lost his rationality. Following the curve of her waist, he moved upward, finding the delicate zipper and gently pulling it up. NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
Zoe tried to push him away immediately, but Mason forcefully held her, positioning them in front of the mirror and compelling her to see their reflection.
A handsome man and a beautiful woman. They were a perfect match.
He gazed into her eyes, whispering like a lover, "Mrs. Lockwood, I really want to have you right here."
His words were crude, and Zoe could not help but retort, "What's the matter? Was Lilith not enough for you? I'm sorry she made you suffer, Mr. Mason."
Mason did not elaborate. He actually enjoyed Zoe's jealousy yet refused to admit it.
Gripping her waist, he made her turn around, pressing her against him through the thin layers of fabric. Despite several layers, Zoe could feel the changes in his body, and he seemed quite excited.
Having been married to him for several years, even without comparisons, Zoe could sense that Mason's needs in that department far surpassed those of an average man.
