Chapter 68
Angel Leffman
I know that I am to blame for our marriage being the way it is and that I deserve to suffer for it, but this is too much!
"Angel, before you say anything..." Sofia started, but I cut her off.
"I am a man of little patience. I already put up with your impudence yesterday, but I have a limit, German." I gritted out, holding back the desire to kill him.
"I won't apologize because that would be a lie. Take this as a warning that there are better men out there, so you should treat her well, American."
I let my fist land on his stupid face.
"Angel, no!" Sofia stopped me just as I was about to go for another one by standing between us. "Calm down!" And why should I calm down?! "Dominik, that was not nice. Thank you for everything, but you must go now and have a good trip." "Ah, wonderful, the bastard is returning to his country, where he should not have left."
"I did it for you, Sofia; I did not have other ill intentions. Angel, I just hope that you will make her happy because others won't have a hard time doing it."
"Who? Men who cannot respect that she is a married woman?"
"Yes, like me," he had the audacity to reply. This is really testing my patience.
"Get the hell out if you don't want me to forget that Sofia is here and break your bones!" I yelled at him in warning, meaning every word.
"Please, Dominik," Sofia pleaded.
"Don't forget what I told you," he warned me, and he never took his eyes off me.
Who does this idiot think he is?
Okay, calm down, Angel. Listen to her, even if you want to lock her in a glass box, and let her know that she is yours and no one can touch her. You have to calm down; she will know how to explain herself. She opened the door, and I stayed outside, trying to breathe so as not to end up worse than we already were.
"Are you going inside or are you going to stay out there?!"
She even had the guts to raise her voice at me?! Okay, Angel, patience. Inhale, exhale.
I entered without saying a word; I just watched her until I couldn't stand the silence anymore.
"Aren't you going to say anything? Why were you kissing your friend?"
"We weren't kissing; he kissed me; that's different. He surprised me, and that's when you arrived."
"And if I don't arrive, will you cook him another dinner with breakfast included?" I taunted her with bitterness in my voice.
"Be careful what you say; just because you have a wife and a lover doesn't mean I do too."
"I don't have a lover, Sofia," I calmly disagreed and breathed. "I didn't come here to argue with you."
"For not wanting to argue, you sure have a nice demeanor. Besides, you have no morals to act that way; weren't you with your beloved Elisa earlier?" How did she know?
"Yes, I was with her, but it wasn't for pleasure or anything your mind is cooking; I was resolving an issue with her."
"Of course, a topic in a gynecological center. Let me guess, you came here to talk to me after you found out that her abortion was not spontaneous."
"Yes, but..." How did she know when Harry and I were the only ones there? "Did you know about the abortion?" I asked, and she seemed surprised by the question. "Isn't that why you came? You already know that I had nothing to do with her abortion, and you want to apologize to me."
"Sofia, how and since when do you know that Elisa's abortion was induced?"
She just shrugged with her arms crossed, and I gritted my teeth in frustration. She's testing my patience.
I was about to talk again when my phone rang. "God!" I exclaimed and grabbed. I answered it when I saw that it was Harry. "I'm busy; this better be important." "You said you wouldn't leak anything to the press, Angel."
"I did, so I didn't."
"Watch the news." I went to the living room and turned on the television, and everything about Elisa was on air. "Did you see it? If it wasn't you, then who?"
"How am I supposed to..." I stopped and looked at Sofia, who didn't seem surprised by the news, and I remembered what she had done with the other information she had obtained. "I think I know who it is."
"Angel, they are saying that you are the father of the child she aborted."
"Harry, I'm watching the news; I know what they're saying. Take charge of keeping the press under control, then we'll see." I hung up and faced Sofia. "You keep hiding information from me instead of talking to me, and you even distributed it on the internet." "Does it bother you that I unmask your holy Elisa?" She mocks, and I run my hands over my face and head in frustration.
"It bothers me that you don't tell me things, Sofia. Since when did you know about the abortion?"
"Since I went to see the doctor at the gynecological center, I told her that I was pregnant," she admitted, and that was a little over a month ago.
"It's been more than a month, Sofia, and you didn't tell me; you let me continue thinking that she miscarried like an idiot. Good God! What the hell is it about the women around me lying to me?"
"I didn't lie to you," she denied, and I shot her an annoyed glance. "I hid that information because you wouldn't believe me if I told you."
"And that's your way of telling me?!" I couldn't help but raise my voice, but I breathed and pointed to the television. "Let the press know and spread it before you talk to me? God! I know you hate me, but you know this topic is sensitive for me, Sofia. I loved that child regardless of who their mother was. You should have told me instead! Why did you have to do this?"
"Because I was angry!" She yelled back at me. "Yesterday you brought me home, and you didn't even attempt to make me stay; then you told me that you were thinking about Elisa; then I saw you this morning with her leaving the center like a couple, and I just... I exploded! I'm tired of Elisa, so I uploaded everything to the internet."
She turned around and left me alone in the living room, watching the mess she made. After a few minutes, I find her on the balcony.
"It wasn't mine," I told her in a calm voice, and she turned around. "The baby wasn't mine," I revealed, and she looked at me in surprise.
"I actually had a hunch; does it hurt you that it wasn't yours?"
"I don't know, I have mixed feelings about it. Elisa made me love that baby, and I felt guilty for loving the woman who allegedly killed them. On the other hand, discovering that was not mine and that woman lied to me about the baby made me feel some sort of peace, but I couldn't stop feeling stupid for having believed her lies. I feel miserable for making you suffer these years for no reason."
Sofia sighed and looked at me with regret. "I'm very sorry; I know that this topic is sensitive for you. I want you to know that I didn't do it to hurt you; I just wanted to expose her and for you to know the truth. After I calmed down, I realized that this wasn't the way you were supposed to find out."
"I didn't find out from the press," I denied, and she looked at me with confusion. "That's why I was at the medical center with her to find out the truth. I read her file before the news came out, and I almost killed her when I found out; I was blinded by rage."
"So you did have an explanation for why you were with her." She muttered more to herself than to me.
"Sofia, how do I make you believe that I love you and only you? How do I make you understand that Elisa is no one in my life except the reason for my misfortunes?"
"I know you love me, but just remembering that you doubted me because of her and that you believed her brings back the pain. Then yesterday, you didn't say anything about Dominik; you brought me home; you said you were thinking about her; and this morning I saw you together. I just... lost my mind and wanted to make her suffer."
"I see, but if you had told me that, we would have saved ourselves a month and a half of so much trouble, don't you think? Sofia, we can't continue hiding things from each other; we need to move forward."
"You didn't tell me that you were investigating her either; I'm not a fortune teller."
"I know, but how do I tell you things if you don't let me get close lately? It irritates you to be around me."
She shook her head and licked her lips. "It's not that, it's just... well, whenever I see you lately, but it's not because of you, it's because I'm having a nervous breakdown due to stress. Everyone annoys me, everyone has the ability to make me angry in an instant, my tolerance is at its limit, and you look so handsome, you don't help me either." She blabbered, and I don't understand what that has to do with this.
"So it irritates you that I look handsome?"
"No, I mean yes. Angel, you have to make an effort to conquer me, and I can't give in to your charms so easily."
I sighed deeply. "Sofia, you have been distant for almost two months; you barely let me get close to you; you avoid me; you fight me over stupid things; you hide things from me; you say that I don't deserve you; you flirt with someone else; and you hate the thought of having a baby with me, and now you're telling me that you can't give in to my charm."
"Wait, why do you say I hate the thought of having a baby with you?"
"I saw your expression in France when the doctor mentioned the pregnancy; you were even grateful that you weren't," I responded, my words laced with bitterness.
"Is that why you were distant?" she asked, and I gave her a blank look. No man likes to know that the woman he loves hates having his baby. "Angel, I said that because we are still trying to fix our marriage, I didn't think you loved the idea of a baby; you would think it was on purpose." "I would never think that. Well, maybe before, but not now that I know the whole truth about Elisa, your father, the marriage, the contract, that everything was a lie."
"Wait, what about my father, the contract, and the marriage?" she asked, looking overwhelmed and so confused.
"It turns out that I hated you, not only because of Elisa."
"I already know that."
"Elisa showed the photos of us to my dad, and he said that he had already seen them because your father had shown them to him, and not only that, he said that you told him that I raped you because I was on drugs."
She looked so shocked, and her eyes were wide. "What?!"
"According to my dad, your dad told him that if I didn't want to end up in jail and my family would end up in ruin, I had to agree to the marriage."
"Angel, I never told him..."
"I know, Sofia, I talked to your dad. It turns out that not even the marriage contract was his idea, but my dad's, that we were never broke, and that I had been deceived for five years. What kind of idiot am I? Everyone made a fool out of me."
"Angel, no. You believed in your family; you wanted the best for them, even if they didn't deserve it. How the hell did they invent something like that? How did you think my dad would marry me to my rapist?"
"I've been wondering that for five years. The point is that we have been surrounded by so many lies, and it makes me sick. I don't even know how to start from scratch with you."
"It's not going to be easy; there is a lot of pain and mistrust between us, but the good thing is that you are not a man who lets other people take what is his, and I am not a woman who gives up, so we have a lot to work on."
"Does that mean that you will allow me to conquer you the way you deserve?"
"You have had that opportunity since we met."
"But will you accept my invitations or will you continue to avoid me?" I teased her, and we both laughed, the tension in the air earlier vanishing between us.
"I'm not avoiding you," she denied, and I raised an eyebrow. "Okay, maybe, but Amelia says it's because I have withdrawal syndrome."
"You mentioned that earlier. What does that mean?"
"It's... I can't stand you; you irritate me, and it bothers me to see you. I want to literally kill you, but at the same time, I want the opposite. Ugh! I don't even know what's wrong with me! She says it's excess stress and lack of..." She trailed off, and she looked at me all red, and I caught on to what she was trying to say and laughed. "So your bad mood is due to a lack of s*x?"
"That's what she thought."
"And what did you say?"
"That she is crazy, that my nerves are on edge from all the stress, and that s*x has nothing to do with my mood swings," she answered, her face still all red.
"Mm, but were you upset because I brought you home yesterday and didn't stay with you?"
"No, I was upset because you told me that you were thinking about..."
I cut her off with a groan. "Don't say her name. From now on, I don't want to hear Elisa's name, or Dominik's, or my parents' name, or whoever ruins our relationship." "Okay, no more Elisa or anything that will ruin your conquest." She's the one teasing me this time. Of course, she's not going to make it easy for me.
"And the conquest of the lady begins; would you agree to have dinner with me tomorrow?"
"I'll have to think about it and look at my schedule. I'm a rather busy woman, Mr. Leffman."
"Ah, then should I change my passport to a German one so you could spare me some time?
"Angel!" She hissed and threw a cushion at me. "You're so annoying!"
"Do you realize you say that most of the time you see me?" She laughed, and I approached her before hugging her. "Sofia," I muttered her name seriously.
"What's the sudden change of mood?"
"I want us to start from scratch, even if it is difficult to forget what we have experienced. I want to give you the life you deserve and make you so happy that you cannot handle it. There should be no more lies or anything that can ruin our relationship. I want there to be only trust between us, but this time, it's a promise."
"I want that too-that you won't doubt me anymore, that you believe me when I tell you something, that you trust me."Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.
"I will do it, and I ask you to do the same but don't lie to me, Sofia; don't hide anything from me because if not, we will never be able to get along. I want you to lean on me and I on you."
"It is a promise. No more secrets between us." She showed me her pinky, and I wrapped mine around her to seal it.
"Perfect, then it is a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Andrew. I am Angel Leffman. I am thirty-three years old and I am an automotive engineer, owner of Autos-Let company, and partner of Andrew&Leffman. I am in search of a woman who will give me all her love and trust. Maybe you heard about me; they say that I am cold and arrogant and that I destroy my enemies. It is true, but I am also a man who can make a lady happy. Do you want to be that lady?" I introduced myself, and she laughed. Oh, how I love that smile.
"A pleasure to meet you, Mr. Leffman. I am Sofia Andrew, I am thirty years old, and I am also an automotive engineer and owner of the companies Andrew&Leffman and Lee Andrew's, which means that I am also a great fashion designer. I am a difficult woman to conquer, but you can try, and maybe you will succeed. Is that okay with you?"
"Something tells me that we will get along very, very well." She stole a kiss from me, and I responded with all the desire in the world. "I think this should be done on the first date."
"We can skip that step."
"Well, surely there's something more that a brilliant and gifted mind wants to tell me?" I asked, and she remained thoughtful.
"Maybe, but you have to earn my trust to tell you."
I squeezed her closer to me. "Will it interfere with our new relationship?" I asked, and she denied it, so I gave her another kiss.
"I am inviting you to dinner," she tells me, and she moves away from me while trying to catch her breath.
"Aren't you going to poison me like yesterday?"
"I didn't poison you; my food was delicious, but you were the sensitive one. God knows why you feel that way, and you blame my food."
"Well then, I'll take the risk and agree to your dinner."
She left to make dinner while I solved the problems that had arisen from what Sofia did, but nothing serious, just nosy people wanting to find out more.
An hour later, we were having dinner, and this time, she made roast beef with rice, vegetables, juice, and chocolate flan for dessert. I noticed that she ate more than she normally ate.
"Wow, you must be really hungry." I mocked her, and she glared at me while wiping her mouth.
"I told you that I have an increased appetite. I have craved everything lately, but how about you? You barely tried the food?"
It was delicious, but it didn't entice me; it made me nauseous.
"I ate enough; I just don't want to abuse my stomach."
"Is it that, or you just didn't like my food?" She asked with a huff.
"No, I liked it a lot, and I know you cook well; I saw that yesterday when you wanted to poison me." I teased her, and she threw me a napkin.
"Idiot, you just don't know how to appreciate a good plate of food."
"It's just that my appetite is on another level compared to yours."
"Don't make fun of my appetite and mood; I am suffering." She whined while pouting.
"I see, I suffer more from your humor than from your appetite." She just stuck her tongue out at me like a little girl.
I helped her with the dishes and organized everything, but something was still bothering me. How does she get all that information and distribute it so easily?
"Sofi, do you get along very well with Isaac?" I asked out of the blue.
"What's with the sudden question? Don't tell me you're going to be jealous again. I still remember how you were when you met him," she said sternly, and I chuckled while shaking my head.
"That's not why; I'm just saying that you two must get along well because he is the one who helps you get all the information and distribute it, and he also gave you the contacts in France to do the show without any problem." "He is Amelia's boyfriend, and she is a partner in the company, so I take advantage of that a little. But why do you ask?" She reasoned out and avoided looking at me; she usually does that when she's hiding something from me. "Nothing, just curious. Anyway, how are you going with the presentation? There are only days left, right?"
"Well, everything is ready. Diether is working really hard, and I know you are going to like the new models."
"I don't doubt it; he is excellent with designs."
"If he's so good, why didn't you take him with you to Autos-Let?"
"Because he has always lacked security and confidence. By leaving him alone in the company, he will stand out, although I didn't think that you would take away the position from me."
"Conflict of interest," she said in defense, justifying himself, "but he has done a good job so far."
"I know, and you have also helped him. I see more confident and capable man."
"That he is." She nodded in agreement.
"What did you do with the design I showed you?"
"Do you want it back?" She asked with narrowed eyes. "It was for Andrew & Leffman, right?"
I rolled my eyes at her. "I'm not taking it back; stop being so defensive; I'm just curious if it's going to be in the presentation."
"I don't know; I was upset with you, so I didn't want anything from you there, but I made some changes to it. I just can't decide if I will associate it with the project or not."
"Proud as always."
It was her turn to roll her eyes at me. "How is yours going?"
"Advanced, very advanced. Let's just say that your not-so-pleasant attitude towards me has made me work on it to distract my mind."
I know she's going to like it when she sees it.
"Sofia," I approached her. "I know I have to win you back. Better said, follow the rules step by step, but should we be so strict in how it develops?"
"I don't understand that question. What do you want to say?"
"Well, we haven't had our first official date."
"France was a date, wasn't it?" She reminded me, and I nodded.
"According to what I know, girls have some guidelines for what should happen on each date." She looks at me, raising one of her eyebrows. "We already had the first one in France; tomorrow will be the second." "This is the second." She corrected me, and I smirked.
""Oh, yeah?"
"Dinner, a good atmosphere, a good conversation, and a kiss. Normally, that happens on the second date."
"And since you mention kisses, is there a rule that says how many should be given in the second one?" I asked, and she pretended to think before shaking her head. "Well, I'll settle for that answer."
With that said, I kissed her because I needed to feel her again; a month of punishment was enough. I left her breathless, and she answered me with great enthusiasm, so I decided to take the risk.
"Is there a rule that says where to kiss?" I asked while I kissed her neck. God, I need her. I don't think I can last long. "Sofia?" I called her when she didn't answer, and she denied it. "Good answer."
I sat her down on the bureau that separates the living room from the kitchen. "Does that mean I can kiss you here?" I kissed her on both sides of her neck while unbuttoning her blouse. "Can I kiss here?" I kissed the mound of both her breasts, and I heard her moan. "How about here?" I went down to her abdomen, and her breath hitched, so I took that as a chance to continue.
"Can I kiss you here too?" I went down to her legs, and thank God she was wearing a skirt, so I kissed her there until I reached her thigh and then moved on to the other one.
She threw her head back, and she looked so sexy.
"Sofia, you haven't told me if I can kiss you wherever I want; I don't want to go overboard." She interrupts me with her lips on my mouth, invading everything, and I do the same.
She moves away from me and catches her breath a little. "Let this be the third date; yesterday was the second."
"What does that mean?" I asked, feigning innocence.
"It means we can skip to the fourth date, so you can kiss me anywhere and do whatever you want." She threw himself at me and didn't complain. I picked her up and took her to her room. I didn't waste any time undressing her.
I almost forgot how beautiful she was. No, I will never forget that. I looked at every part of her. I touched and kissed her breasts, which seemed to be bigger and much more sensitive than last time. In a matter of minutes, I made her reach her zenith. I continue to kiss her until I reach her abdomen. I played with her breasts while I rained kisses on her abdomen and her hips. I ran my hands along her body and felt that she became wider. But it does not take away its exquisiteness. I moved my hands to her thighs until I exposed her, and I didn't wait any longer before devouring her like I'd been wanting for months. She savored it until I had her trembling with desire and screaming my name. She orgasmed again, and I looked at her voluminous breasts that welcomed me by standing so provocatively.
"God, Angel!" she screamed in pleasure.
"You seem to be more sensitive today."
""Do you want to kill me?" She asked, breathless.
"As long as it's for pleasure," I said, looking at her, and she looked so eager, so fragile, so provocative, so mine. "You are mine, Sofia, only mine."
"That's not up for discussion."
In a minute, I'm the one under her while she undresses me, touches me, and kisses me, and I let her do anything she wants to me. I love that she is like this, so... fiery, and so sexy. She kissed me all over my chest and abdomen, then took off my jeans, and God, that luscious mouth played with my member, and it didn't take long before I came into her mouth. I looked at her, thinking she might vomit or something, but no, she laughed, as if proud of what she had done.
"I love you, Angel,"
It was the first time she had said it to me, and there was so much sincerity in her eyes that I couldn't stop myself anymore. I pulled her to me and kissed her before placing her under me. I made sure she was ready for me and thrust home, making the both of us moan. God, I needed this- to have her like this.
"I love you, Sofia, my beautiful lady. I am yours today and always."
"You better."
I began to move at a pace that we both loved, and we both reached the highest peak of pleasure together.
We spent the whole night making up for the days we yearned for each other, and I must say that my wife is an insatiable demon in bed.
