Chapter 105 Meeting At The Restaurant (Part One)

Chapter 105 Meeting At The Restaurant (Part One)

Selina couldn't guess Cherry's thoughts just by looking at her expression.

At first she was confused, but then something suddenly sprung in her mind. She immediately said,

"Was it because of Sally?"

When Sally's name was mentioned, Cherry recalled the day when Sally's eyes had gleamed with hate

in the hotel. During the past five years, it seemed that Jackson and Sally had kept a harmonious and

stable relationship. Sally had always been together with Jackson, and of course that from the first

moment when Cherry had returned to the city, her hate had also exponentially grown.

Selina thought that her hunch was correct. She took Cherry's hand, and said, "Please trust me. They

aren't together, and I'm sure that Jackson doesn't love her. Sally's character has always been a

mystery to me."

It suddenly occurred to Selina that Lori had once said to her that Sally was a woman with lots of

secrets, but nobody knew what exactly those secrets were. Or, what her true motives and goals were.

Cherry didn't care about those secrets. She looked at Selina, and said indifferently, "Miss Selina, now

that you know the true story between Jackson and me, if you want me out of the company, I will leave

immediately. I know that Jackson hates me for abandoning him five years ago, and it's really okay if

you're on his side."

Selina never thought that Cherry had this sort of idea in her mind. She had never intended to fire

Cherry, but instead she had summoned her in her office because she wanted to know the reason why

she had left Jackson.

Selina shook her head, and said, "No, you misunderstood me, I don't want you to go."

Cherry was surprised, and wondered, 'Then why am I here? It seems that she knows everything.'

"Cherry, you're still Jackson's wife, and thus one of my family members. I only wanted to find out why

you left five years ago, that's all, " said Selina.

Cherry hastily replied, "I was indeed one of your family members, but that was five years ago.

Everything is different now."

Speechless, Selina had to respect Cherry's words, and said, "Okay, that's fine with me, I can

understand."

Cherry nodded to her in approval.

"Well, can you at least tell me why you left Jackson five years ago?" asked Selina.

Cherry shook her head at the idea of explaining herself.

Selina was a bit anxious, and continued to say, "If you tell me now what was your reason for leaving, I

can help you work off Jackson's anger, and you can come back to Chu Family again."

Cherry stared at Selina for a few moments, and then answered, "I don't intend to return to the Chu

Family. If Jackson hates me, and he's furious at me, then you don't need to worry about me; it doesn't

really matter that much to me." This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.

Selina suddenly lost her temper, and asked, "Are you actually telling the truth?" She stood up, looked at

Cherry, and said, "Were you even aware of what the consequences of provoking Jackson would be?"

Cherry guessed where her conversation with Selina led to, and she answered quietly, "At least he has

the guts to kill me with his own hands."

Selina felt a bit disappointed with her. She had thought that Cherry would never give up on what she

believed, and that she worked hard and never lost hope, no matter what difficulties she encountered on

her way. However, now it seemed that she had given up all hope of being with Jackson again, and

Selina started to truly worry about her future.

Their conversation lasted for more than an hour, but it didn't lead Selina to her answer. It wasn't

because of Cherry's stubbornness, but because of their contrast in their ideas. Selina felt ashamed of

her arrogance and ignorance, and although she didn't know Cherry, she nonetheless had the ambition

to help her out.

As she looked at Cherry slowly leaving her office, Selina didn't give up on her. On the contrary, she

decided to discover new ways to know Cherry, and to succeed in finding out what she failed in her first

inquiry.

Wilson's newly established company was up and running. Although the Sky Group had been

established in only a month, it had already started to make a difference in the business world. Many

successful business leaders knew that Wilson was Jacob Yuwen's son, and also an undergraduate of a

noble school with an MBA degree. Wilson's abilities and family background were all recognized

internationally, and the Sky Group had great expectations.

Wilson looked out of the window of his office and felt overjoyed. He took out his phone and called

Cherry.

A moment later, Cherry answered, "Hello, brother."

"Cherry, are you busy at the moment?" asked Wilson tenderly. He had always been gentle and kind to

her.

"No, I'm not. What's up?" asked Cherry.

"I'm thinking of having dinner together later this evening. Just you and me, at a nice restaurant, "

proposed Wilson.

"Ok, " said Cherry happily. Then she thought of something, and hastily added, "By the way, I have a

friend that you should meet. His name is Stephen An."

Wilson searched for Stephen's name in his mind, and thought that he had probably heard the name

before. He thought that he might be a businessman.

"Well, I should meet your friend then as well, " said Wilson, hoping to please Cherry.

"Alright. Choose a nice restaurant and tell me the address; I'll meet you after work, " said Cherry.

"Alright."
