Chapter 86 Mom Is The Greatest
Chapter 86 Mom Is The Greatest
Three days later, Selina received a phone call from Jackson's associate, Bobby Li, telling her that the
Shen Group had disappeared from the city.
She stood in front of the French window and stared at the hustle and bustle of the city. She was worried
about Harrison. He had led the Shen Group for many years and now had to see it suddenly collapse
under Jackson's order. He did not do anything wrong by bidding for the project, after all, the
competition was common in the business area. His failure only owed to Jackson whim to crush the
Shen Group.
Suddenly, her phone rang. Selina glanced at the phone number before she answered it.
"Hello, Selina speaking."
"Selina, can you believe who I just saw?" Selina's friend Lori Liu was at the other side of the phone.
She sounded anxious.
"Tell me, " said Selina without any hint of excitement.
Lori Liu could hardly wait to answer. "I had gone for a spa and saw your friend Jackson's girlfriend,
Sally!"
"And?" Selina stared blankly into thin air. There must be something fishy, or Lori Liu would not have
called her.
"She was on a date with a man." Lori Liu came straight to the point.
Selina's expressions changed. Her grip on her phone tightened. How could Sally cheat on Jackson?
Jackson had treated her so well in the last five years. Why would she do that?
"Are you sure they were on a date?" Selina had to make sure that the information was reliable.
"Yes, " said Lori Liu firmly. "Sally was sitting there, chatting with the man for almost three hours at a
corner table. I couldn't get close enough to find out what they were talking about."
Selina hung up, her eyes burning with rage. She thought to herself, 'That is so unfair! Jackson had
done so much for Sally in all these years, even though they were not married. How dare she cheat on
Jackson? If I find it out to be true, I will show her no mercy.'
Without wasting any time, she made a call.
"Miss Selina."
"Investigate Sally secretly. I don't want anyone to know about this. Do it as discreetly as you can, or
else...! will..." Selina's warning was clear and severe. Her voice sounded angry and serious. She meant
the threat.
"Yes."
At the airport
A woman in a gorgeous sapphire dress stood, attracting a lot of attention. Many men could not take
their eyes away from her.
"Mommy, this is a bad city. I don't like it." Joe Shen pouted as he exited the airport. He saw modern
buildings and busy roads interlocked in front of him, and yet, he missed the west where he had been
living for five years.
Cherry paid little attention to Joe Shen. Instead, she spoke to the man beside her, "Wilson, where shall
we go first?"
Wilson was wearing a well-tailored, smart suit that fit appreciatively on his toned body. His good-looking
face was like a sculptor's masterpiece.
He answered gently, "I had my friend arrange a house for us. Let's go there first."
She nodded.
Joe Shen was visibly upset to see the grown-ups busy talking and totally ignoring him. He had to target
his uncle, since he could not earn his mother's attention.
"Uncle, are you going to kidnap my mom and leave me behind?" Joe Shen complained as he looked at
Wilson with an animated expression.
That suddenly reminded Wilson that his little nephew was with them. He quickly turned to look at Joe
Shen, with his little cartoon backpack, pouting and angry.
Wilson smiled and rubbed the boy's head. "Yes, I'm going to kidnap her... and you, of course, because
you're the most important of all!"
With that, he lifted the boy in his arms and entered the rented car. Cherry could only shake her head in
resignation. She really could not tell what Joe Shen was thinking.
As Wilson drove, Joe Shen took the passenger seat, and Cherry sat behind them.
Looking at the landscape passing by, she was overwhelmed with emotions. It had been five years since
she had left the city, and now she was finally back. She was delighted to see the change in the city.
However, it stung her heart every time she thought of that man. She had been wondering how he was
now. Five years had not been long enough for her to forget him. Was he still as indifferent as he used RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

"Uncle, why do we have to come back here with mommy?" Joe Shen asked naively.
"Because this is where your mommy and I grew up, " Wilson answered as he drove on.
"Really?" Joe Shen turned over his shoulder to look at his mother. "Mommy, did you really grow up
here?"
The question brought her attention back to the present. She looked at Joe Shen's handsome face and
nodded, smiling. "Yes."
He smiled back at her. "I don't like here, but I would learn to like it, since it's your hometown. We'll settle
down here, won't we?"
"Joe, you agree with us living here from now on, don't you?" She asked.
"What are you going to do with me if I disagree?" said Joe Shen, pretending to be disdainful. Then he
added carefully, smiling, "I have no objection as long as I'm with you, mommy."
Cherry had initially thought that his son would object to living in the new city, but it turned out he had
been tricking her. Little Tyke always left her in great amusement.
Cherry faked a mean look and said, "Joe Shen, you're such a nasty boy!"
He only covered his mouth and chuckled in response.
Cherry felt her heart overflow with happiness. In the past five years, she had spent all her energy
focusing on her son. As long as he was happy, nothing else mattered.
Wilson pulled up before a villa and they got out of the car. The villa was built near the sea and was
surrounded by woods. There was also a park not far away. Joe Shen instantly fell in love with the
place.
"Uncle, mommy, is this our new home?" Joe Shen was in a state of utter disbelief.
Cherry did not speak but touched her son's head, smiling.
Wilson beamed, "Yes, this is our new home."
"When will Grandpa and Grandma come here?" Joe Shen was curious.
"Five days from now. Your Grandpa has something to deal with", answered Wilson.
"OK." Joe Shen seemed to have run out of questions. Should he kickstart his happy new life now?
He grabbed Cherry's hand and shouted joyfully, "Mommy, let's go see our room. I want to check if the
bed is large enough for us."
Before Cherry could even take out their luggage, she was pulled into the house by her son.
Joe Shen looked around the first floor and then nodded to Wilson displaying his satisfaction with the
interior decoration.
Then he quickly brought her to the second floor.
"Joe, don't be in such a hurry!" Cherry was being comically dragged upstairs by her son. Why was he
so excited?
Joe Shen asked on his way to the second floor, "Uncle, where is our bedroom?"
"The one on the left end", answered Wilson tenderly.
Joe Shen pushed open the door and saw the furnishing. Everything in the room was in light pink, his
mother's favorite color.
He chirpily ran to the bed and lay flat on it to feel the softness of the bedspread.
"Wow, it's so big! We can play on the bed at night!" Joe Shen was already making plans delightfully.
"Joe Shen, get down! You're not allowed to get into the bed with your shoes on", Cherry angrily
commanded.
Wilson entered the room as well. He enjoyed the sight of Cherry interacting with her son. As long as
they were happy, there was nothing to worry about.
"Mommy, we've just arrived. Can't you just let me do whatever I want and put off your schooling for a
little while?" Joe Shen pouted again. But as he spoke, he got off the bed obediently.
"Joe, be good, or..." Cherry started.
"Or what?" asked Joe Shen innocently.
"Your uncle will arrange another room for you and you'll have to sleep by yourself", said Cherry.
Joe Shen put on a hurt face and looked at Wilson, asking, "Uncle, are you on my side, or hers?"
This brought Wilson into a dilemma! He looked between Cherry and then his naughty nephew, not
knowing what to do.
"Wilson, if you back Joe up, don't ever ask me for help in your business, " said Cherry.
"I..." Wilson wanted to say something but was cut short by Joe Shen.
"Uncle!" Joe Shen shouted, "If you help her, don't rely on me to fix your computer anymore!"
Wilson felt torn between the mother and the son.
Joe Shen could not watch his uncle struggling anymore and finally decided to agree on a compromise.
He dropped his head with resignation for a while and then lifted it before he walked up to Cherry and
made a begging gesture. "Boss Cherry, you win! I was wrong. Please forgive me and give me a chance
to fix my mistake."
Cherry put her hands on her hips like a queen and scolded, "Have you learned the lesson?"
"Yes." Joe Shen nodded.
"This is serious!" Cherry was not pleased with his flippant expression.
He immediately stood upright and made a serious face at Cherry to show his sincerity.
Finally, Cherry was pleased and said, "That'll do."
She smiled.
Wilson smiled too.
Joe Shen happily grabbed Cherry's hand and said, "Mommy is the greatest. I love you so much!"
"Joe, give me a kiss." Cherry cuddled her son affectionately.
"Love you, mommy!"
