"What are you planning to do? This isn't a game and Sally is not someone who you can deal with

easily. I heard Jackson's Grandfather tried to stop this bitch, but he failed. Jackson isn't stopping as

well, but he's taking precautions," Soren warned his son. He didn't want Mike to be involved in this. It

was something that he would want to deal with himself. Mike knew more things about Sally than his

father could imagine. Being friends with Lawrence, he found out some things about the Chu family that

only he and Lawrence have knowledge about. And Sally He was one of them.

father take this on his own.

"Yes, I do," Soren replied sternly. He always had faith in his son.

"Good. For now, order your men to stand down. We must not alert Sally by all means," Mike suggested

to his father.

"But do you already have plans on how to handle her on your own? Remember, Sally is a dangerous

fox and Lawrence isn't here. There's no one to help you," Soren said. He was confident in his son's

ability but he was just worried for his safety.

Mike's facial expression didn't change. He was determined to take down Sally on his own. He looked at

his father and said, "Now that I know Sharon is associated with Sally, I will start with her."

Soren could not comprehend what his son had in mind so he asked, "But what is your plan?"

"I will go to Greg first. After all, he is Violet's husband and Lawrence's brother-in-law. If I tell him that I

am Lawrence's best friend, I'm sure Greg will tell me everything he knows," Mike told his father. It

wasn't the best plan, but Greg was the first person he could think of. With Greg in mind, Mike suddenly

remembered Aria. He had almost forgotten about her. 'I have to do something about Aria's situation

first. Lawrence, where are you when we need you?' he thought to himself.

Soren didn't say a word. Though he still couldn't comprehend anything that his son was telling him, he

decided to let Mike play this game. It's time that Mike learned how to deal with someone like Sally He.

Mike took Soren's silence as an affirmation. He always wanted to make his father proud and this was

the right time to prove to him that he could follow his dad's footsteps. "But Dad, I need you to do me a

favor," Mike asked his father. Soren could see the look in his son's face and knew that instance that he

was serious.

"Anything! Tell me!" Soren replied.

"While I was away, a lot of things has happened but I am not certain what they are. So, I need time to

figure things out. More importantly, Lawrence asked me to protect someone for him while he's not in

the country and I intend to keep that promise," Mike told his Dad. He was not sure if his father

understood the weight that was on his shoulders right now but he needed his father's utmost support to

make things possible. "I will be occupied in the next days so I will require your help to contact Uncle

Derek and Uncle Desmond to explain to them what we have concluded here today. We need their help

in protecting JC Group. I believe Lawrence already took care of some business matters before he left,

but we cannot just watch while Sally He is around. She might attack anytime when our guards are

down," Mike continued. He was most certain that this was what Lawrence would do if he was here. He

needed to protect both the JC Group and Aria on behalf of his friend and he needed all the help he

could get from his trusted circle.

Soren finally got the whole situation involving the JC Group and how critical timing was for them to

succeed. He saw how his son was determined to win this battle against the vicious Sally He and he

was willing to help his son. "I understand, son. And you have my full support on this," Soren said to

Mike.

"Thanks, Dad," Mike replied. He had never felt so powered up like this day. And with his father backing

him up, he was certain that they could solve the problem at hand. Mike then instructed Soren, "You

must hurry and meet them today. If you tell them I asked you to meet with them, they will surely listen

to every word you'll say. You must tell them to protect the JC Group at all costs and I will take care of

the rest. If need be, I will seek Greg's help."

Both men stood up from where they were sitting and Mike handed back the file to his father. While Mike

was resolved with the plan, Soren was still a bit hesitant about involving his son in this matter. "I will do

as you say. But Mike, please be very careful. We don't know what Sally has in her sleeves." Soren

warned his son.

Mike understood his father's hesitations but it's too late to back down. And besides, he had more at

stake on this given that Lawrence entrusted him with both the JC Group and Aria. He just couldn't let

his friend down in this time of need. "Don't worry, Dad. I will be extra cautious," Mike assured his father.

Soren confidently smiled at his son and was about to leave when Mike said, "Dad, just one more favor.

Can you spread the news that you will be retiring soon and that you have already given me the full

control of our businesses?"

Soren was taken aback by what he heard from his son. Naturally, Mike was the sole heir to the

businesses when Soren decided to retire. But Soren planned to discuss this matter with his son first

before deciding to retire. He didn't know what to say, and all he could was to give a confused look at his

son.

"Dad, you know our family's influence in this country, so I'm sure that when the news spread that a

young Yu will take over the family businesses, Sally might slow down a little. It will give us more time to

decode her and plan a counter-attack," Mike persuaded his father. He was so certain that Sally

somehow feared their family. And if this plan worked, Sally might be caught off guard and they would

have a chance in winning. All was perfectly planned in young Mike's mind. With his youthful energy and

determination, Soren could only hope that they would have a chance against Sally He. Yes, they had

the name and the influence, but Sally was a tricky enemy. Soren was silently praying that his son's

plans would succeed and bring an end to this evil Sally– something that Jackson Chu could have done

in the past.
