Chapter 10 Prepping For The Game & Rivalry Begins
Vincent's POV
It's been a couple of months now and were all practicing for the game on October 27th and it's October Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
10th right now. (In their world, not our world) And man does I hate being a cheerleader. Since I'm a guy
I mostly have to hold the girls up. They should really wear something under their skirts cause I don't
want to see that... No offense. Derrick is doing pretty good and Sammie eh. Oh you're probably
wondering about Mason. Well, it's been awkward between us. We say hi and walk past each other. I
decided since it's a Friday why not talk to him about it.
"Mason?" I said tapping him on the shoulder as he closes his locker.
"Hi," he said, giving me a weak smile.
"So where are we going with this?" I asked straight up.
He sighs then looks behind me. I turn around to see what he's looking at. It's Sammie.
"Hey are we walking home or not?" he asked.
When did the heck we decide on that? "Um hold on," I say and turn to Mason. He grabs my arm and
drags me away from Sammie. "Wait what are you doing?" I asked as his grip tightened.
"I'll take him home!" Mason yells over his shoulder to Sammie.
They glared at each other. Is it just me or lightning just happened between those two. I stare at Sammie
as he turns away and walks. I looked at Mason and glared at him. I pulled my arm away.
"Hey?! You didn't answer my question! And I'm not going anywhere with you until you do." I said.
"Yes we're still dating," he said, sounding pissed.
"Well, that was still wrong! You just pulled me away!" I yelled.
"He can walk with Derrick," he said rolling his eyes. "I was just jealous," he said.
"Yeah, I can tell," I said.
"I'm sorry," he said, sounding a bit gentle. "I'm stressed," he said.
"Well, I'll talk to you later," I said as I was opening the doors.
"Wait you're not coming in my car?" he asked.
When I opened the doors. Sammie was there. He looked up and grinned.
"I thought you went home," I said.
"Nope. I decided to wait for you just in case," he said, shooting Mason a glare.
Mason glared back. I looked at both of them. "Why don't we walk together?" I said.
"My car," Mason said, sighing.
"Why don't you drive us? It would be nice to see what you call a car." Sammie said grinning.
"Fine!" Mason yelled.
The whole ride they went back and forth. Sammie decided to take the passenger seat which started it
all. I'm sitting in the back banging my head against the back of Sammie's chair.
"Stop arguing!" I yell which makes it silent. "Sammie you'll always be my friend I won't forget you just
cause I'm dating Mason! Mason stop being jealous I'm dating you aren't I!" I yell and it gets quieter.
"Whatever," Sammie said.
"Sorry," Mason said as we pulled up to Sammie's house.
"Bye!" Sammie yelled, shutting the door hard. Then he walked over to my door and opened it.
"What's up?" I asked.
He stared at me then glanced at Mason and smirked. He looked back at me. "Let's spend Halloween
together," he said grinning at me.
I smiled. "Yeah, that would be fun," I said.
"Great!" he said smiling brightly. He closed the door gently. "Bye," he said happily as he went to his
house and went inside.
Mason sighed and rolled his eyes. "I guess I can't ask you then," he said as he began to drive.
I smirked. "Nope," I said popping the p. "You snooze, you lose," I say and he smiles.
"Next time," he said. "But..." he said as we pulled up to my house. "If you change your mind, I'm having
a party at my house," he said as I opened the door and got out.
"I don't know," I said, closing the door and turning around to leave.
"I'll text my address just in case," he said and sped off.
I shook my head. "What am I going to do with those two?" I say as I open the door and go inside the
house.
