Independence 215
Another busy week passed.
On Sunday, Miranda took a short break. She still felt a bit guilty for missing Winter’s call last time, so with both of them having a day off, they decided to meet up for a movie.
They picked a popular film from the tail end of the early year movie releases that was praised for its good
reviews.
As they settled in, Miranda recognized many familiar faces from the comedy scene, even though she didn’t follow entertainment news closely.
Winter had recently become obsessed with a young actor, who happened to have a cameo as a handsome killer in the film. It was something she was looking forward to.
Miranda got a bucket of popcorn and two sodas, and they laughed heartily as they watched the movie.
The movie was fun, with plenty of funny scenes, though Winter was disappointed that the handsome killer she’d been eagerly awaiting only appeared for two seconds.
“They really meant it when they said cameo, huh? Just a quick flash on screen and he’s gone.” noveldrama
Miranda chuckled. “Even if it was just two seconds, he was still pretty handsome.”
Winter perked up. “Aren’t you one who never fangirls? Are you saying this guy caught your eye? I’ve spent a thousand on gifts for him and even followed him on Instagram–want me to share his information?”
“No, no, he’s too young for me,” Miranda brushed it off, laughing at Winter’s teasing expression.
Winter sensed something. “Too young for you? So, what do you like? Someone not young? Someone
mature?”
Miranda paused, nudging Winter’s face away as she leaned in closer. “…No one in particular.”
What do you think?
