Invincible Heir

Chapter 150 I’ll Kill You

Chapter 150 I’ll Kill You

At the penthouse office of the Domom SPA.

Baron sat on the office chair and pointed at the sofa inside. “Sit!”

Only then did Jerome sit down. Everything that had happened yesterday at the Dynasty was etched

into his brain.

The young man before him was someone who could play around with gunslingers bare-handed. If he

wanted him dead, it would be ridiculously easy. There was no thought of revenge in his mind.

Not before he met anyone on Baron’s level, that was.

“Speak!”

Baron looked at the quivering Jerome and said.

“I can pull some strings and get you a talk with them, Mr. Owen. But whether or not I can succeed is no

guarantee,” Jerome stated.

“What? It’s that difficult to see them?” Baron snorted.

Jerome hurriedly clarified, “You know full well how big this thing is, Mr. Owen. The moment the cat’s out

of the bag, It’ll be trouble for both sides of the partnership. It’s understandable how cautious they are.”

Baron understood that as well. The driver who’d shipped the girls without being sure of what cargo he

was hauling was proof enough of that fact.

His opponents were careful, and what had happened the other day would probably draw their attention.

They were probably investigating right now.

“Fine. Then introduce me. Leave the time and place up to them,” Baron said shortly.

Jerome was overjoyed. That was the best outcome.

“Talk to me about these partners of your family. What background do they have?” Baron asked

suddenly.

Jerome shook his head, helpless. “I won’t lie. Even as partners of many years, we’re not sure of who

they are. Every time, they arrange different vehicles and different drivers to make the deliveries. And

every time they make a delivery, a car follows behind. Anything unusual, and he’ll bolt.”

“Then how did you make contact?” Baron pressed.

“This goes back twenty odd years. The Wilson family was just a small clan back then. My father knew a

friend who introduced the whole business to him,” Jerome explained.

Baron’s brow furrowed. The cooperation went back that long ago.

If that was the case, this organization was quite something. It’d been twenty years and they were still

going strong.

Seems like there was a big fish on the line.

“With all the might of the Wilson family, you couldn’t find out their identity?” Baron’s face sank.

Seeing that Baron didn’t seem to quite believe him, Jerome panicked and hurriedly assured, “I’m telling

the truth, Mr. Owen. We investigated but couldn’t find anything!”

Seemed like the Wilson family really wasn’t sure of who they were. But Baron could understand that

too. If it had been that easy to turn this whole thing out, that organization couldn’t have survived for

over twenty years.

“Hurry up and put me in contact. Tell me when your arrangements are done!”

Baron knew that continuing the interrogation wouldn’t get him anywhere and gave up right away.

“I’m not going to sugarcoat it, Mr. Owen. The Wilson family doesn’t have a means of communicating

with them. They contact us every time, so I can’t pull those strings for you right now. The next time they

contact me, I’ll mention it to them immediately,” Jerome said.

Baron jolted. The Wilson family didn’t even have a means of contact. This secrecy was a bit too strong,

wasn’t it?

“Fine, just notify me when you’re done.”

With that, Baron gave Jerome his number.

“What are you still doing here?”

Baron frowned.

“So, Mr. Owen, when can you sell us the Domom?” Jerome asked cautiously.

“Bring it up to me when you’re done with my task.” Baron’s tone was icy.

No matter how much Jerome resented it, he couldn’t do anything in front of Baron. So he left. © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

On Tracy’s side, she drove Terry and Sherry into a small, high-end apartment area.

“Dad, you’re renting a place here?” Tracy asked.

She had a trunk in her hand and a handbag around her wrist as she followed Terry forward.

Terry chuckled. “It’s close to the company. I can get a workout just by walking to and from work. Plus,

the environment is nice.”

Tracy nodded, agreeing with Terry’s view. The area was a bit old, but the environment was really quite

nice.

No cars were allowed in or out, and there was a large square in the middle, with some gym gear and

benches.

“That over there is the mansion area, with pretty decent prices. When I’ve made enough money, I’ll buy

a mansion there.”

Terry pointed at the innermost section in the area, and there were twenty-odd mansions.

“What’s so nice about a broken-down slum like this? Can’t match up to the Peak Hotel, can it?” Sherry

huffed.

“What’s so good about that? One mansion on a mountaintop with nobody around. This is great. When

I’m retired, I can play chess with our neighbors here, and walk in the square in the afternoon.” Terry

really seemed satisfied with the place.

Seeing the genuine smile on Terry’s face mixed with anticipation, Tracy knew her dad wasn’t lying. He

really did like this place.

“Oh, isn’t this Mrs. Perry?”

At that moment, an intrusive voice rang out, its tone obviously mocking.

The three Perries looked over, seeing a sultry woman in her thirties leering at Sherry.

“You!”

Sherry recognized her right away.

When Yuri had had her banquet and Sherry had come out of the restroom, this was the same woman

who’d taken a shine to the bracelet Baron had given her, shattered her own bracelet, and framed

Sherry for it, asking her for recompense.

When she’d known that this woman was the spouse of the Johnson family, she’d had Yuri offer up her

own face for a beating in public. Then Baron had shown up and she’d pushed everything on him and

escaped without caring about Yuri and Baron.

It had been Connor Johnson who’d taken this woman to their compartment to apologize, giving her

back her bracelet.

Tracy slowly remembered this woman as well, her expression growing cold. “You’re Lucy, right?”

“Friend of yours, Sherry?”

Terry hadn’t been there for the banquet and didn’t know what was going on. He thought the woman

was an associate of Sherry’s and smiled, “See how nice it is having a place here? Look how you met a

friend just arriving here.”

“You’re wrong. I’m the wife of Connor Johnson, so how could I live in a broken-down place like this?”

Lucy shot a mocking look at Terry and sneered at Sherry, whose face was growing ugly. “I heard you

were expelled from the Perry family. What? Scrambling here to rent a place now that you’re out of room

and board?”

“This is a family matter, what’s it to you?”

Tracy walked up, scowling.

“What? Can’t take the truth? That’s how it is. The Perry family was always small-time. I guess as a

bunch of exiles, your ego is too bloated to handle it,” Lucy cackled.

Connor had warned her not to mess with Baron, but having gone this long, she was completely

disregarding his warning now.

“No need to waste words with someone like her, Tracy. Let’s go!”

Terry only just understood that this slatternly-dressed woman was here to make fun of them.

Sherry didn’t have the nerve to speak. Lucy had apologized to her, but she was married into the

Johnson family, who were in the Cona upper crust. How would she argue with someone of that status?

Tracy shot a cold glance at Lucy and made to leave.

“You just glared at me, bitch! You’re asking for it!”

Lucy swung out with her palm and slapped Tracy across the face.

She’d kept what happened in the hotel in mind. She knew that Tracy was Baron’s wife. Now that they’d

come across each other, of course she wasn’t going to let things go.

Tracy staggered and almost fell.

Lucy wasn’t stopping. She pulled back for another slap.

Then Terry blocked off in front of Tracy and grabbed Lucy’s wrist, rage written across his face. “I don’t

care who you are. Put hands on my daughter and I’ll kill you!”

Whap.

Terry slapped Lucy across the face.

Lucy wailed at the blow, starting to bleed from the corner of the mouth.

“Dad!”

Tracy was shocked as well, stepping forward to hold Terry back. He was still raring to go.

“On account of my daughter, I’ll let you off this time. Come after her again, and I’ll kill you!”

Terry hadn’t planned to do anything with Lucy anyway. He’d just wanted to scare her off while getting

even for Tracy.

Venom was written across Lucy’s face as she glared pointedly at Terry. “You just wait!”
