Chapter 174 Chairman Showed Up
Chapter 174 Chairman Showed Up
Now everyone was staring at Terry.
The bald man stopped his pace, and looked around with his eyes narrowing.
The bald man was Sion. He was the previous general manager of River Construction Materials.
Camel was appointed by Baron to re-construct the River Construction Materials. He didn’t change
anyone from the top management, in order to keep the company running well.
However, when Terry took the place of general manager, Sion then became a deputy general manager.
So, he was pretty upset about it. He went hard on Terry, even if it was something that would bring
damage to the company.
Whatever Terry had put forward, he denied it.
“Sure, our new manager has to show off his power somehow. I want to see how strict our Mr. Perry is
gonna be.”
Sion said and made a burst of laughter.
Terry snapped grimly, “I don’t care what you are doing and how it matters to the company, in five
minutes, if you don’t show up at the meeting, you are fired!”
“Mr. Perry, are you taking it too far?”
Sion said smilingly, “I don’t think you are qualified to order me to join your meeting.”
“Fletcher Milne, in five minutes from now on, anyone who doesn’t join the meeting, will just leave the
company!”
Terry commanded with a severe expression.
Fletcher felt embarrassed, for he could not go against Sion, although he was the head of the human
resource department.
Like Sion said, his words really counted in the company, because most of the management members
trusted and listened to him.
“Can’t you understand me?”
Terry burnt up as Fletcher kept his mouth shut.
Fletcher squeezed a bitter smile, and said, “Yes, Mr. Perry!”
“Fletcher Milne, don’t you dare to stay in my way? It is none of your business. If you do, you are
dismissed,” said Sion, looking threateningly at Fletcher.
Baron, who kept silent for the whole time after entering into the company, goggled around after hearing
this.
Sion was so arrogant in the company. He was not supposed to threaten any employee.
Fletcher Milne was in a dilemma now. He could go either way, or he would be fired.
“Sion, do you really think there is nothing I can do with you?”
Terry suddenly lowered his voice, and said in a peaceful tone.
Sion felt a shiver as he learned the change of Terry, but he wasn’t nervous when thinking of his position
in the company.
He jeered, “I don’t think you have the power to fire me or something, because I am way more important
to the company than you are, even if Mr. Ellis was here, he would treat me politely.”
Terry took a deep breath, took a look around the crowd, and said, “Is there anyone who feels unhappy
with my position in the company?”
After a long pause, no one dared to step out, for they knew Terry was in a great outrage now. If anyone
dared to speak out, he would be dismissed instantly.
Sion smiled grimly, and said, “I will back you guys up, just speak out the thoughts in your mind.”
With the support of Sion, some people started to speak up, “I don't agree!”
“You have no rights to order Mr. Sion, you hollow manager. Mr. Sion had been with River Construction
Materials for years, and he is so dedicated to the company, how come you dismiss him just for a stupid
meeting?”
“I don't agree neither. I only follow the order of Mr. Sion!”
“And me neither! You are just nobody from a small family, how could it be possible for you to be
qualified for the position of the general manager of the company?”
Three of the management members aired their thoughts out, one of them was a deputy manager, and
two of them were heads of two departments.
The crowd was not confused that they would speak for Sion, for they were in the same boat.
But except these three people, no other people dared to speak up for Sion, for they knew Terry must be
appointed by someone truly powerful in the company.
“Anyone else?”
Terry looked coldly around and asked loudly. Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
Sion narrowed his eyes, and sneered, “You’d better understand the situation here now!”
“I don’t agree!”
Another department head raised his hand. But others still kept silent.
Seeing this, Sion felt his heart sank, for he reckoned most of the department heads would support him
when he fell out with Terry.
But now, apparently, just a few of them chose to support him.
Terry took a deep breath, and said, “Well, if you guys felt unhappy with me, then I don’t think it is
necessary to have you here!”
Immediately, he turned to Fletcher and ordered, “Mr. Milne, can you see who they are? Go and write a
dismissal report for them, now!”
Bang!
Everyone was astonished after hearing this.
And even Sion was shocked. He asked, with a dumbstruck look, “Terry Perry, what the bloody hell are
you doing? Dismiss me? Who do you think you are?”
“I am the general manager of River Construction Materials, and I am in charge here. Since you don’t
follow my order, then I just have to fire you. Keeping you in the company may obstruct the development
of the company.”
Terry was in an indifferent expression. He would not tolerate it anymore. He had to be sharp and tough.
“Who the hell do you think you are? Don’t you really think you are the general manager already? You
can just dismiss only by your approval?”
Sion screamed testily, “I am the deputy general manager of River Construction Materials, if you want to
dismiss me, you need the permission of the Chairman, according to regulations!”
“Yeah, how come you just dismiss us without any permission? We are regular employees!”
“Without the permission of the Chairman, none of us will leave!”
Another four managers of the company who were with Sion now were furious, and started to argue
indignantly with Terry.
Terry was still in a cool expression. He turned his eyes at Baron, “Mr. Chairman, now I want to fire
them, do you agree?”
All of the employees there were amazed.
And even for Sion, he was startled. He had never seen Baron before. When he saw Baron, he thought
he was just some freshman that Terry just hired.
Baron darted a blank look at the five of them, and opened his mouth, expressionlessly, “As they
disobeyed your order, then just dismiss them!”
All of the five managers were in an unbelievable look.
Sion paused for a few seconds, and suddenly barked, “Little young lad, how dare you pretend to be our
chairman? You are in big trouble now, I am going to call Mr. Ellis now!”
And then, he took out his phone, and dialed a number. Quickly, Camel answered it, and asked
tonelessly, “What’s going on?”
“Mr. Ellis, a young man is pretending to be our chairman, and Mr. Perry even dares to cover him up,
how do we do with them?”
Sion asked in a pretty polite manner. While he was talking, he darted an ironic look at Baron.
