Invincible Heir

Chapter 180 Sheer Arrogance

Chapter 180 Sheer Arrogance

Getting Terry’s guarantee, Sion was supremely pleased.

He went to the back seat and mocked, “Well, Mr. Perry, isn’t it about time to open the door for me?”

The indignant Terry could only do as Sion said. He was the one who was the general manager, but

Sion was acting like his boss.

“Now can you call Kyle and have him move out the way for the workers to load the cargo?”

Terry said, waiting for Sion to get in before driving off.

“No rush, we can wait until we’re at the warehouse!”

Sion chuckled.

“Are you shitting me?”

Terry slammed on the brakes, outraged.

He’d agreed to all of Sion’s unreasonable demands just so that they could get the warehouse up and

running normally, but now Sion was saying to wait.

“Fuck!”

The sudden stop rammed Sion’s head into the front seat. He rubbed his red forehead, raging, “You’d

better get a fucking grip, Terry Perry. You work for me now. Everything’s up to me. Mess around again,

and I’m getting off right here!”

Terry sucked in a deep breath, tried his best to suppress his rage, and drove on without saying a word.

A sharp glint passed through Sion’s eyes. He took out his phone and typed in a text – “It’s done, meet

me at the warehouse!”

After he typed it up, he sent it straight away to the five other department heads who’d been dismissed

along with him.

The five received the text and were overjoyed, replying excitedly, “It was worth the five hundred K to

get back to River Construction!”

“Relax, Sion already promised to get this money back when he’s general manager.”

“Yeah, Mr. Sion didn’t let us down this time.”

“From now on, even if the sky falls, I’m going to keep following after Mr. Sion!”

The former department heads members had been gathered together since morning waiting for word.

Now that Sion gave them the text, they finally loosened up. Even before Sion had gotten there, they’d

started treating him like the actual general manager.

At the same time, in the warehouse.

Kyle, limbs shattered, lay to the side.

The twenty-odd men he’d brought were on their knees.

Baron’s display of power had washed away their resistance. They knelt there obediently, waiting for

Baron’s command.

Baron himself kept an eye on the steel shipment while waiting for Jerome.

All sorts of heavy machinery had started running. A mass of workers coordinated to fill up the cargo.

The whole warehouse was a flurry of activity.

The twenty-odd kneeling brutes didn’t fit in at all.

Jerome arrived and almost blew his top at the scene.

He’d been a very calm person once, but ever since he’d had the pickle with Baron, his temperament

had changed, and he now was prone to outbursts.

“Mr. Wilson, what – what are you doing here?”

Kyle almost pissed himself seeing Jerome there.

He’d only been the manager of the Dynasty Nightclub, but he’d taken up a side gig behind the back of

the Wilson family – and gotten found out.

Jerome marched over to Kyle, who was still prone like a dead dog in the gutter, and stomped on him

several times.

Kyle howled in pain. “Don’t hit me, Mr. Wilson! I know I’ve done wrong!”

“Motherfucker, taking a side gig behind my back. You’ve had enough of living.”

Jerome panted. “How’d you get on that man’s bad side?”

Only now did Kyle realize that it was Baron who’d called Jerome here.

He didn’t dare hold anything back and offered up all the details about how Sion had paid him to block

off the warehouse.

“You went and made enemies of that man for five fucking million? Forget crippling you, you deserve to

be killed!”

Jerome was inconsolable. He’d beaten Kyle up and told him off, but Kyle was his man at the end of the

day. Since he’d offended Baron, he’d just have to find some way to satisfy Baron in his place.

“I’m here, Mr. Owen!”

Jerome said cautiously as he went to Baron’s side.

Baron had already been aware of his arrival and knew full well what he’d done to Kyle. He’d just

chosen to ignore it.

Baron looked at him mockingly. “You already know what your lapdog’s done, right?”

Jerome rubbed the sweat off his brow and nodded. “It was my fault this time, Mr. Owen. I didn’t keep

my own people in check and they offended you. My bad. What do you need to let them off?”

Baron replied mildly, “I’ll settle accounts later. Go off to the side!”

Jerome was fuming, but he knew how vicious Baron could be, so he swallowed his pride and walked

off to the side.

Terry’s assistant Wyatt saw how Baron treated Jerome and gaped, shocked.

Jerome was from the direct line of descent of the Wilson family, slated to take up the position of head of

the family. Now, though, he was being scolded like some small fry in front of Baron.

Wyatt looked at Baron, gaining even more admiration for this chairman of his.

At this moment, several more people appeared in the entrance to the warehouse. It was the five

department heads who’d been dismissed just yesterday.

The five waltzed in, looking more confident than ever.

“What are you doing here?”

Wyatt walked up and asked them.

“Mr. Sion told us to come! Didn’t he say that the chairman’s changed his mind and is making him

general manager?”

“Yeah, and he’s allowing us back to the company.”

The gang said, not realizing the strange atmosphere inside.

Wyatt scoffed. “Only Mr. Perry is in charge of River Construction Materials. There’s no Mr. Sion here!”

“Shit! A lowly assistant has the guts to talk to us like this? Want me to fire you right here and now?”

The former HR manager said cockily.

Without Baron here, Wyatt might have been intimidated, but he knew full well right now that Sion’s

gang had no hope of returning to the company.

“Sure! I’ll wait for you to fire me!” Wyatt sneered.

“Man, if this kid isn’t full of himself, Gary. He probably doesn’t know that Mr. Sion’s coming back, eh?”

“Yeah, definitely not. Otherwise he wouldn’t dare talk to us like this!”

“You were in HR before, Gary. You’ll probably have that position back this time. Have the company

dismiss this kid!”

“Yeah, I’m calling them now!”

The five didn’t take Wyatt seriously at all as they acted as if they were already back in the company.

Gary even started making phone calls to have someone dismiss Wyatt.

Wyatt didn’t say a word, watching the show like a mummer’s farce.

“Shit, what? My word doesn’t go for anything? Fine! Just wait, when I’m back at the company, I’m firing

you first!”

Gary bellowed into the phone.

“What’s going on?” the rest of the gang asked.

Gary fumed, “Fucking hell, one day out of the office and they think I’m out for good! Just wait till I get

back to them!”

At that moment, a cheap second-hand car rolled up and stopped at the entrance. Terry and Sion

walked out one after the other.

“You’re here, Mr. Sion!”

“See that, Mr. Sion, one day away from the office and people think you don’t matter anymore.”

“Yeah, Gary just gave HR a call and they yelled him off. Said they didn’t know a Mr. Sion.”

“Worst part is, that assistant of Terry’s doesn’t even take you seriously. Says he doesn’t know any Mr.

Sion too.”

Seeing Sion arrive, the few dismissed staff went up and started kissing ass.

Sion leered. “Don’t worry. When I’m back to the company, I won’t leave any of the weeds that need

weeding!”

Terry ground his teeth at the side and had no choice but to put up with it.

“Shit! Where’s Kyle? I hadn’t arrived yet, who told him to ship the goods out?”

Sion turned around and found the trucks stopped in front of the entrance, with a few already filled up

rolling off into the distance. He lost his cool.

Terry had had his doubts that Sion had sent Kyle’s gang here, and now that Sion said it out loud, he

was finally sure. Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

“Sion! This was all you!”

Terry growled.

“Now that you know, I won’t hide it. Yeah, I called Kyle here!”

Sion realized that he’d let it slip, but acted like he had nothing to fear. “Even if the chairman comes, he

has to appoint me general manager. Otherwise, if Kyle come around a couple more times, we’ll see

how long the company can even last.”

“Does your mother know what a badass you are?”

As Sion finished, a cold voice rang out.
