Jojo and Coco's Unexpected Love

Chapter 779 You Finally Believe Noah Isn’t Innocent

Chapter 779 You Finally Believe Noah Isn’t Innocent

Chloe wrestled with her thoughts. Did Noah truly love her? If he did, why had he gotten involved with Duskfall and deceived her? There was something unspeakable and unexplainable about the whole situation. Exotic Star had always conducted its business through honest and upright methods and would never collude with an entity like Duskfall. The only possible explanation was that this involvement was related to personal matters.

She could not make sense of it, and she did not want to. NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

Feeling exhausted, Chloe rubbed her temples. "Let's talk about this tomorrow, okay? I'm tired and want to sleep."

Noah looked at her silently for a moment, then put his smile back on. "Okay, rest well. If you feel unwell, just call me."

After leaving her room, he went straight to the wing. "Has Chloe been here in the past few days?"

One of the helpers in charge of caring for Vanya respectfully replied, "She came by yesterday."

Noah's expression changed, and his usually gentle voice suddenly turned cold, "Why didn't you inform me?"

Startled, the helper stuttered, "Y-You didn't instruct us on that..."

"How long was she here?"

"Not long, about ten minutes. When she got here, Vanya had just taken her medicine and was fast asleep. I don't think they spoke."

Noah's expression softened. "Are you certain?"

The helper quickly affirmed, "Yes, Mr. Noah. I was cleaning the windows on the second floor at the time. This place isn't soundproof, and I didn't overhear any conversation."

"Inform me immediately if Chloe ever comes here again."

"Yes, sir."

Noah glanced in the direction of the third floor but did not ascend. Even if Vanya was brave, she would not be so brave as to make a scene on his turf. Striding into the kitchen, he instructed the helpers on how to prepare Vanya's medication.

"The note I gave you at noon earlier contains an error. Reduce the daily medication to half the original amount."

Chloe struggled to find any peaceful sleep that night. She was plagued by a haunting nightmare, caught between wakefulness and slumber. In her dream, she was transported back to the dreadful night the hospital had caught fire. She screamed and pleaded while clutching her child tightly, but her cries fell on deaf ears. The relentless flames crept toward her and onto her body until they engulfed her precious child, leaving behind only ashes.

"Ahh!" Chloe bolted upright, her heart racing and her eyes filled with terror. She gasped heavily, completely oblivious to the fact that her face was soaked in tears.

‘My child... I must find my child.’

The next day, Chloe left the Sullivan manor early. She did not bother informing Noah and simply left a note for Desmond. The note stated that she wanted to postpone the wedding date and did not

wish to rush into a marriage.

At Fairlight, as soon as Joseph stepped into the building, he spotted Chloe in the waiting area. He put his hands in his pockets and the corners of his mouth went up, not the least bit surprised to see her.

When Chloe saw him, she went straight to the point. "I have some questions."

"You're more than welcome to ask whatever you like."

Chloe looked around the office which had not changed much in five years. Their wedding photo still sat on his desk. She was momentarily dazed when she saw it.

Joseph noticed her gaze and instinctively picked up the picture frame. "You haven't changed," he remarked. She remained as dazzlingly beautiful as she was five years ago.

Chloe lowered her eyes. She remained silent for a moment before finally speaking up. "I installed the spy camera. Noah is acquainted with Vanya."

"Yes, I know. Now you finally believe me?"

She managed a bitter smile. "Tell me everything you know."
