Chapter 357
The more Beverley thought about it, the angrier she got, and the angrier she got, the more she wanted to get out of the house!
"Black," she called to her driver, "Get ready, I need to go out in twenty minutes."
"Of course, ma'am."
Beverley went upstairs to change her clothes and put on her makeup.
The driver was already waiting for her, and she gracefully slid into the car.
"Let's go."
Sure enough, before the car even left the driveway, she could spot that mother-son duo squatting by the gate, one on each side, like a pair of menacing gargoyles. "Ma'am, those two have been squatting by the gate. What if they rush up and stop the car?"
The driver was concerned because just a few days ago, when he took the car out for maintenance, he was stopped by them.
Seeing no one else in the car, they finally let him go.
The driver was annoyed; it was clear those two were troublemakers, shameless and reckless. He just wanted to keep his job and get his paycheck without risking his neck. Hearing this, Beverley scoffed, "Just drive, don't stop for anything. I'll take responsibility for whatever happens!"
The driver felt a bit scared, but couldn't disobey Beverley's orders.
As they drove off, the duo, like dogs sniffing out a scent, immediately blocked the way.
Instinctively, the driver wanted to hit the brakes, but Beverley's stern gaze in the rearview mirror made him hesitate. Gritting his teeth, he stepped on the gas and sped past them. Maisie and Farley were used to stopping cars, but this time was different...
Maisie's face turned pale, and she quickly pulled her son to the side.
The next second, the car zoomed past where they had been standing, at an incredibly high speed.
Had they not moved...
"Wow! They're trying to kill us!"
"No need to guess, that Beverley must be in the car!"
"What a fancy family, all just a bunch of heartless lunatics. Imagine if they'd hit us, they wouldn't be able to afford the consequences!"Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
"Don't think you can just go out

explanation, we'll be here every day making a scene. We'll make sure everyone knows, from your neighbors to your high society friends. If you make our lives miserable, we'll make sure your whole family is shamed!"
Their curses trailed behind the car, but Beverley just smiled coldly, looking back to see the mother and son jumping up and down in frustration. It somehow made her feel unexpectedly at ease.
Farley asked, "Mom, what do we do now? She's gone. Should we keep waiting here?"
They were there to force Beverley to show herself, but now that she had left, there seemed little point in staying to watch over a house filled with just servants and security.
"She'll have to come back sometime. She can't just stay away forever!" Maisie's plan was simple. She didn't have a job or anything else to do, so she had all the time in the world to outwait Beverley. en FindNovel
Inspired by his mom, Farley declared, "I'm not going back either. I'm staying right here until they pay up!"
But little did they know, they would be waiting for two whole days.
"Mom, do you think she's really not coming back?" Farley, covered in mosquito bites and scratching himself, looked miserable with red welts all over his face and neck. Maisie scoffed, "I don't believe it. This is her home. Where else would she go?"
"Well, rich people have so many houses... anywhere could be home..."
Just then, Farley's phone rang.
He answered it, visibly annoyed, but a second later, whatever he heard made his eyes light up. He was all thanks and promises of dinner invites.
After hanging up, he turned to Maisie, excitement written all over his face...
