Chapter 390 Forgive Me, My Darling (Part One)
Chapter 390 Forgive Me, My Darling (Part One)
Terence pushed Rena's arms away from him. He then abruptly shoved her away. His thin lips tightened
as he frowned, but he didn't say anything.
He turned around and quickly walked out of the ward. "Terence!" Rena called after him. But he didn't
look back or stop.
Terence was sullen. As it turned out, Theo also heard the news and came to visit Rena today. Suffice it
to say, he was somewhat surprised to see Terence coming out of the ward. 'Isn't he supposed to be
with Carla?'
"Hey, Terence, what are you doing here? Are you here to see Rena?"
Theo was puzzled. Rena was one of the girls he had been acquainted with for a long time ago. As a
matter of fact, he was the one who introduced Rena to Terence when they were out at dinner one day.
Although they weren't very close, they were still acquaintances. So it was only right that Theo should
visit Rena at least once since he heard that something bad had happened to her.
However, to Theo's surprise, Terence grabbed him by the throat and pushed him against the wall.
"Theo, what did you say to me before, huh? You told me that Rena was outgoing and cheerful. She
was sophisticated enough to date casually so she would never do anything stupid. Then what the hell
is she doing now?"
Initially, Terence was casually looking for a random woman to date and use as an excuse. He needed
someone to accompany him to public occasions and business events. He also wanted someone to
irritate Carla and make her jealous. Although, ultimately, he just wanted someone around so he could
refuse his father's orders and avoid getting in trouble with him.
Who would have known that she would cause so much problems?
"What? Uh, uh… But I don't even know what you're talking about! You know that Rena and I don't know
each other very well. When I introduced you to her, she seemed to have a good character at the time.
You also said that you were looking for someone casual, so I thought I would match-make and
introduce her to you. I don't know how she suddenly became like this!"
Theo protested strongly, with a look of innocence.
"But, well, don't worry. I'm here okay? I'll keep an eye on her for you and make sure that she doesn't do
anything crazy. Everything will be okay!"
Theo couldn't help but reluctantly take responsibility for Rena. He inwardly shuddered when he looked
into Terence's furious eyes.
What was Theo thinking? He must have been drunk when he introduced Rena to Terence, even though
he had acted selflessly at that time. When Terence said that he was looking for a female companion to
ward off familial troubles, he thought of Rena only because she seemed well-rounded and not clingy.
But who would have known that she would end up causing such a big trouble for Terence?
Hearing his words, Terence breathed deeply. He slowly loosened his grip on Theo's collar. He
smoothed down his clothes and calmly walked out of the building.
He then returned to the Seaview Villa.
Carla heard his car pull up. She went downstairs to greet him. Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
"Terence, you're back. How is she doing? Is Rena okay?"
Looking at the worried Carla, Terence inwardly winced. He pulled her over gently. He wrapped his arms
around her soft body and hugged her tightly in his arms. "Carla, why are you so worried about her?
Aren't you blaming me for this mess?"
"Of course, I'm worried. Regardless of what happened between the three of us, the accident had
something to do with me after all! Whether or not you or I like her doesn't matter. Her life is still a life.
We cannot turn a blind eye to it," Carla said softly. It was true that Carla was not particularly fond of
Rena. But if something really happened to Rena because of her, Carla would be very guilty and
regretful.
Terence sighed. Carla was still so softhearted. He ruffled her hair with his fingers and hugged her some
more. With a small smile and another sigh, he said, "Carla, thank you for your understanding. You're
right. No matter how we feel about her, neither of us want anything to happen to Rena. I'm just glad
you're sensible."
If it had been any other woman in her position instead of Carla, he was sure that there would be
endless quarrels, which would make him feel exhausted.
His beloved Carla, however, always impressed him. She was always so gentle and kind.
But just when Terence was complimenting Carla in his mind, Carla pinched his ear hard and smiled
mischievously. "Terence, now you know why you cannot casually flirt with other girls, right? Do you
dare do such thing again?"
Terence raised his lips in a wry smile. It seemed like his Carla wasn't that different from other women
after all. He hugged her soft waist and quickly said, "Darling, forgive me. I dare not. I will never do it
again, even if it is just to anger you!"
"It's good that you're aware of it. You should be thankful that Rena didn't lose her life this time. If it had
been anything more severe, what would you do then? You would have spent the rest of your life
regretting your actions!"
After her stern lecture, Carla finally loosened her fingers on Terence's reddened ear.
Terence gently rubbed his ear. He wrapped one arm around Carla's waist and hugged her back closer.
He then bowed to kiss her on her soft lips. "Carla, enough already. This was my fault. I admit my
mistake. To deal with my father's order, I was casually seeking a companion. I wrongly took Rena as a
shield, but who knew she was so stubborn and infatuated with me? I'm sorry this situation with her
startled you and made you worried."
Carla responded with a gentle nod. It seemed like Terence really did learn his lesson. She wrapped her
arms around his waist.
"Well, now that this has happened, you should take some responsibility. You should visit her as often as
possible. Make time in your busy schedule. But don't give her any false hopes. Hopefully, she will be
better in no time. After all, I'm pregnant now. Let's accumulate blessings for the baby."
Carla smiled after she said the last sentence. She was looking at her still-flat abdomen and rubbing it.
"Okay, I will do as you say. I will try to visit her more often. Let's hope that Rena will come around. But
you haven't had dinner, have you? Come on. Let's have dinner together. It won't do you or the baby
any good if you don't eat," Terence said. He gently hugged and tugged her into the villa.
