Love is the Sunshine

Chapter 551 Lucy's Plan (Part Two)

Chapter 551 Lucy's Plan (Part Two)

All you need to keep in mind is that I am the same Terence you loved back then and I am your only

man!"

As she rubbed her forehead, Carla gave him a look from head to toe. He was giving off a different vibe

than Carla was used to.

Most of his memories had already come back at this point, but something still felt quite different. It

seemed that he was more strict and domineering than he was back then.

When they were done talking, they left Sally at home with her nannies.

Then, they head straight to the hospital where Gail was being treated.

When they got to the hospital, Gail was still currently inside the emergency room.

As soon as Lucy saw Terence, she paced toward him looking as though she was about to burst into

tears. Then, in no time at all, she held onto him tightly as the tears rolled down her face. "Terence, Gail

is in there and it's all my fault! It's all my fault! I am such a bad mother. I can't even take good care of

my own daughter! It's all my fault. I'm the one to blame..."

"How did it happen? Wasn't Ella supposed to be with you?" This is the property of Nô-velDrama.Org.

Terence asked as he held Lucy's shoulders and pushed her away.

Shaking her head, Lucy wept and answered, "Ella... Ella had left us already."

"After I moved out of the villa, she wasn't interested in staying with me any longer. She ended up

leaving us just yesterday. With her gone, I had no one else to help me look after Gail. I was doing the

laundry and preparing dinner, when... I don't know how it happened, but Gail managed to climb onto

the table and she fell down..."

Lucy wiped her tears dry. Right now, she felt so ashamed and looked like she loathed herself so much.

After they waited outside for a while, Gail was finally brought out of the emergency room. Lucy instantly

ran over and checked how she was doing.

Terence stared at Gail who was lying still on the bed. Her tiny little eyebrows were knitted.

As all of that was happening, Carla walked toward them.

"Miss Lucy, I have a proposition. I'm going to find a decent place for you and some nannies to stay to

help you look after Gail. When Gail is old enough, then you could look for a job. What do you say?"

Gail was only one year old. Being a mother herself, Carla understood how hard it could be for Lucy to

keep an eye on Gail while taking care of everything else in the house all by herself.

Lucy looked up at her. It was apparent that her eyes were brimming with intense hatred toward Carla.

However, she tried her best to keep it all in. Before answering, she lowered her head and said, "Thank

you. I appreciate the offer, but I'm afraid I might have to turn it down. Gail isn't really that good with

strangers. Even after a long time of being around others, she still wouldn't allow them to hold her

without crying. I'm just going to take care of her myself. I'll be able to manage somehow,"

Lucy replied. Tears were beginning to well up in her eyes again, but she suddenly shot Terence a

glance.

Gail had been accustomed to living in the Seaview Villa from the time of her birth. Now that they were

staying in some unfamiliar place, she tended to cry a lot. Once she started crying, there would be no

stopping her anytime soon.

"Really? Miss Lucy, if you don't mind me asking, where is her real father and your parents?" From the

accent Lucy had when she talked, Carla could tell that Lucy wasn't from around the area.

Carla's intuition was telling her that deep inside Lucy's heart, she still longed for the Seaview Villa and

to live in comfort.

This question had flushed the color in Lucy's face. Lowering her head again, she said, "I can't go back

to my parents' house anymore. My parents never even wanted me to keep Gail at all, so we haven't

really been in touch for years..."

"Oh? But no matter what, you are still their daughter and Gail is their granddaughter. I believe that after

all those years of being away from you, they might actually be missing you more than anything," Carla

hurled back, lifting her eyebrows in disagreement.

Generally speaking, what Carla said made perfect sense. Parents would love their children

unconditionally.

No parents in their right mind would have the heart to watch silently as their daughter suffered alone

away from them.

"Miss Carla, you don't have any idea what kind of people my family and parents are. So, I'd appreciate

it if you take back what you said just now. Thank you!" Lucy blurted out all of a sudden. Carla's

comments seemed to have offended her.

"Hmm? You have a point. That is indeed true. Your relationship with your family should be none of our

concern. Then, I guess you better contact your daughter's real father next time something comes up.

Don't you think it's very inappropriate for you to be calling my husband over?"

Carla stated in a cold voice.

She was sincerely trying to help her with her daily life, and she didn't even mind paying for a place for

her and some nannies to stay to make everything a bit easier.

But despite that, Lucy wasn't willing to accept her kindness as she wanted even more than that.

Given that Lucy wanted to challenge Carla, she was not one to back down, and she was planning to

show her no mercy.

Carla's words were so sharp, so much so that it was just like a knife piercing through Lucy's heart.

"You!"

Lucy was already in a towering rage so she was unable to say anything back. Turning to look at

Terence, tears were dripping on her cheeks. As she stared intently at him, she called out to him, albeit

hesitatingly, "Terence?"
