Love My Friends with Benefits

Chapter 47: Night Visit

Chapter 47: Night Visit

After May left, I heaved a sigh of relief and sprawled out on the sofa.

I wanted to call Leonard to tell him that I was sick so that he wouldn't come over, However, I was

exhausted and decided to get some rest first.

I fell asleep dazedly. I didn't know how long I slept, but I woke up when someone pushed me.

I could smell their familiar scent.

I opened my eyes groggily and said, "Leonard?"

The moment I spoke, I could feel my throat burn. I rubbed at it.

The room was in complete darkness. I glanced outside and found that it was already nighttime.

Shit! I hadn't expected to sleep for so long.

Leonard glanced at me indifferently and asked, "Are you sick?"

I laughed coldly. "Does it matter to you?"

All he wanted was my body, anyway. I'd still be able to serve his purpose as long as I was alive, right?

Leonard didn't say anything.

He frowned and walked past me.

The back of the sofa blocked my line of sight, so I had no idea where he was going. I could only

vaguely tell that he had headed in the direction of the bed.

"I'm all out of condoms. You need to go get some."

I sounded much hoarser than I'd been during the day.

Suddenly, the window creaked.

What was he doing?

Feeling a little confused, I propped myself up and turned to look at Leonard.

He opened the window. The cold wind billowed in and made me shiver.

I quickly curled up. "What the h*ll are you doing?"

He didn't answer me.

Shivering uncontrollably, I tried to peek over the sofa. Suddenly, something fell from the sky and landed

on my head, shrouding me in darkness.

...

I was lost for words.

I struggled to free myself and realised that it was my quilt.

Leonard glared at me. "Cover yourself up!"

I licked my lips and wriggled out from under my quilt.

The wind was so cold that it made my bones ache. I tried my best to suppress it as I unbuttoned my

clothes.

Leonard stared at me. "What are you up to?"

I chuckled and lowered my head, continuing to take my pants off. "What do you think?"

I wasn't a child. There was no way I'd think that Leonard was here to take care of me.

He looked furious as he rushed over and stopped me. "Stop stripping!"

"Oh, okay." I stilled obediently.

He seemed to calm down a little.

I grabbed his hand and walked towards the bed.

Leonard shook me off. "Is there something wrong with you, Queena?"

He sounded pretty mad.

Due to the fever, I was pretty out of it. I couldn't figure out why he was so mad.

"I really don't get you." I didn't bother hiding my confusion. "Leonard, all you want is my body, don't

you? I'm giving it to you now, willingly, so please leave once you're satisfied. Are you okay with that?"

Leonard scowled at me.

I almost felt like he could set me on fire with the fire burning in his eyes.

As the seconds ticked by, Leonard finally stalked out of my house.

He slammed the door shut so forcefully that it sent dust flying.

He'd actually left?

I was taken aback for a while before almost jumping with joy.

He'd finally left!

My joy didn't last long. Five minutes later, my expensive lock suddenly beeped.

It was the sound of someone opening the door with their fingerprint.

I gaped at the door, feeling dumbfounded. Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.

Leonard was back with a bag full of medicine. He threw it at me and said through gritted teeth, "Take

your medication."

Judging from his tone alone, it was obvious that he wanted nothing more than to strangle me.

I really wanted to ask him what he was trying to achieve, but I didn't have the guts to.

I mumbled in agreement and looked down at the bag. I pulled out a bottle of pills and poured some into

my hand. I didn't even bother counting how many pills there were before stuffing them into my mouth.

"Do you wanna die?" Leonard roared as he quickly grabbed the pills from me.

...

I just couldn't please him. What did he want from me?

I ignored him and lay down with a hand on my forehead.

Through my fingers, I saw Leonard pour me a glass of water. He came back over to me and held the

glass to my mouth. "One is enough. Has your brain short-circuited from the fever or something?"

I swallowed the medicine and water. "How'd you know?"

He didn't say anything.

He just raised an eyebrow and looked like he was trying to hold back a laugh.

It took me a while to realise what I'd said.

I hesitated, trying to choose the right words. "What I meant was, how'd you know that you can only take

one pill at a time?"

Leonard stood up.

I couldn't see his face from where I was, but I inexplicably felt that there was something odd about his

voice. "Do you think everyone's like you, Queena?"

Well, he was indeed different from me.

How could a human and a monster be the same?

I gave up on getting an answer and wriggled out from under the quilt again. I continued stripping,

wanting to get things over and done with as soon as possible so that Leonard would leave.

When I was down to my underwear, Leonard stopped me.

I looked up and met his sinister gaze. "Are you so desperate to get f*cked?"

I shook my head. "No, I'm just trying to fulfil my client's needs."

In my dazed state, I'd accidentally used the phrase reserved for clients on him.

Leonard looked at me oddly. "Client?"

I couldn't retract something that I'd already said, so I had no choice but to add, "It's just a different

choice of words."

Leonard sneered. "I never knew that you thought of me like that."

His tone made me feel extremely uncomfortable.

He approached me and pinned me to the bed. "Why don't you tell me the sort of client that I am to

you?"

I couldn't help feeling nervous the moment he came close to me, because of everything that had

happened over the past couple of days.

The anxiety overwhelmed me and I threw caution to the wind. "What else? You're forcing me to sleep

with you, and you're forcing me to tell you what I really think. Are you getting a kick out of this or

something?"

"How interesting." Leonard's voice was frosty. "You really excite me when you say these things."

If my brain wasn't fried, I'd have sensed the mockery in his words ages ago. However, I wasn't exactly

in perfect working condition, so I thought he was telling the truth.

I cried out, "What the f*ck's wrong with you? You can just spend a couple of thousand dollars on a

prostitute to do everything that excites you!"
