How did this even happen?!
The next morning.
Brie got out of the cab and hurried into the police station without waiting for Cherry. She was made to wait for hours before an official complaint could be made about Belle’s disappearance.
She could barely get any sleep through the night as her worry over Belle grew more with every passing minute.
“It’s past twenty-four hours now, can you help me find my sister?” Brie went up to the policeman who had attended to her yesterday.
“Good morning,” the man decided to greet her since she didn’t do it first.”I already mentioned your case to Detective Harper, he will be here shortly to talk with you on how to start an investigation. You can have a seat over there and wait.”
“Okay.” Brie nodded and went to sit where was directed to. Cherry came in after settling the cab driver and met her friend sitting on a long bench with two other persons. She joined her and asked if the police were willing to help now.
“Yeah. He said he referred the case to a certain detective Harper; asked me to wait here.”
“Oh okay. Let me talk to our supervisor at work. I’ll let him know about Belle and find out if he can permit us a day off.” Brie just nodded to Cherry’s words and watched her leave to make the call.
“Ms. Miller?” Brie heard a man ask and she stood up with urgency.
“Yes, that’s me.”
“Okay, come with me.” Brie did as she was told, following the man to his office.

Belle opened her eyes slowly, she sat up and rubbed her eyes. She was still in the clothes she was kidnapped in, she had fallen asleep on the bed without even changing into the clothes that were brought to her last night.
She heard the door unlock, and when she turned, she saw the woman from last night walk in with the door shut as soon as she was inside.
“Your clothes for today.” The woman came with a new bag. She threw it on the bed and it caught her attention that Belle hadn’t changed into the one she brought the previous night.
She went and picked it up, ready to leave as quickly as she came but Belle stopped her at the door.
“I…” Belle was about to try and convince her to help her out like she did last night but the woman wouldn’t let her say a word.
“I don’t want to hear whatever you are going to say, you are gonna put into trouble. I can’t have Crow treat me like he did yesterday because of you.
“He isn’t here, right? Can you just listen to me…”
“He isn’t here but he can see and hear us.” The woman informed her.
“Huh?”
“I have to go,” the woman turned to the door but Belle stopped her again.
“What do you mean he can see and hear us?” Belle inquired and let her eyes follow the woman’s when she looked up at the left top corner of the room.
There was a camera there. Belle immediately swallowed after seeing it; now she understood why Crow had appeared so suddenly last night while she pleaded with this woman in front of her.
“I’m sorry I got you into trouble,” Belle was sorry. The woman just nodded before knocking twice on the door. Someone unlocked the door from outside, letting it open slightly so the woman could leave through it.
When she left, Belle looked up at the camera. She had not noticed it earlier. She knew now that it was pointless trying to escape because they were watching her.

Brie had spoken to the detective and was about to leave the police station with Cherry after he convinced her that he would do his best to find out what he can with the information she provided.Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
Belle’s phone started to vibrate in her purse. She had brought it to the police station in case it was needed to solve her disappearance case.
Taking it out, she answered the phone to know who it was and if the person knew about Belle’s whereabouts.
“Belle,” she heard a man call in a deep voice. She didn’t say anything even if she could guess just who it was.”Where are you, I’ll come get you.”
“Wow,” Brie said sarcastically.”You don’t even know that she is missing, you know I was right in trying to get her to stop seeing you. What kind of man are you, huh? You don’t even care about…..”
“Belle is missing?” Ben’s voice rang through the speakers on Belle’s phone.
“Yeah, she is, and I have been trying to find her since yesterday and you are just finding out? You are the…..” Brie was going to blame him for her sister’s disappearance but he had cut the call.

“What do you mean she was kidnapped on her way to work? How is that possible?! Weren’t their people passing by?! How did this even happen?!” Ben threw angry questions at the man hired on his order to trace Belle’s disappearance.
“No sir. There wasn’t a single person on that road the day she was kidnapped, thanks to them; whoever these people are…” He traced off and looked at the computer in front of him before continuing.”This was a premeditated plan, the timing tells it. She must have been under surveillance for some days if not weeks. I think someone knows you’ve been with her lately and this person is not happy about that.” The man explained his hypothesis.
“This person most likely knows you wouldn’t be with her the time she was kidnapped. It is possible that they knew she would be alone at the time, walking to work and they saw the perfect opportunity to kidnap her.”
“I want to know who this is, and why this person dared to think of abducting my Belle. He or she needs to suffer.”
The man looked up at Ben when he said that because he could swear he would never expect to hear him refer to a woman as his. Having worked with him before now, he knew Ben’s attitude towards relationships and couldn’t help but be surprised by his concern for Belle.
He felt sorry for whoever it was who had a hand in Belle’s kidnap because Ben wasn’t making an empty threat when he said he or she would pay for their actions.
