Lyceon - The dark lord

Chapter- 23- MISS ALLISON

Allison smiled at him before setting the plate on the table and heading towards her seat but not the same where she sat yesterday. Aztec gestured to her to sit at the chair beside him with his eyes.

"I was just trying something out." Allison said and immediately someone snorted beside her. She turned to see one of the girls last night having dinner with them.

"Already exploring around on your first morning and doing things on your own. Do you think you are equal to us?" She remarked. Allison frowned at her words.

"No, I don't think so. Because I am a little above you in the field of manners and polite talking." she said calmly, taking the seat and immediately earned a glare from her baby blue eyes. "You...."

"Lola, don't start your tantrums. We want to have a peaceful breakfast here." Aztec gritted through his teeth. Allison wondered why he was always protective and came to her rescue.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

"Oh you always take her side, Did I ruin your mood, Beta Aztec." Lola retorted. Allison heard an angry growl coming out of Aztec. She straightened up in tension seeing his pissed-off face but then someone walked to the table. "What's on today's menu?" Ashina asked no one in particular before taking her usual seat. She started to sniff the amazing smell of the breakfast and grabbed a piece of croissants and Allison immediately stiffened Thinking What if she doesn't like it?

Really, just a few minutes ago you were boasting about your skills confidently then why chicken out now? My mind mocked me.

Meanwhile the twins jumped in and eagerly filled up their plates with all the items on the table like hungry dogs making Allison scrunch my nose.

"It's super delicious." Aztec groaned while gulping down the Croissants. Allison relaxed a bit and looked over at Ashina who was slowly eating it. She didn't comment anything but from her look Allison guessed she liked it.

"Fuck.. It is. How come you thought to bake the croissants today, Bonnie! If today is any occasion." Aiden asked in between his nibbling, relishing the sweet thing. Allison caught how Lola made a disgusting face at him. Bonnie peeked a look at Allison before replying.

"They were made by Miss Allison, Sir." she said softly. From her peripheral view, Allison saw Ashina stopped munching and she looked at her.

"I guess I misconstrued your capability, sweetie. I am.... liking it." Ashina Conceded while taking a bite, fixing her gaze on her. Allison saw her furtive crook smile and something flashed her silver-grey eyes for a second.

"It's amazing, Allison. You are a wonderful cook." Aztec grabbed her attention and winked her way. She thanked him, smiling.

"Mmm.. Well, you earned my likeness, pretty girl," Caden commented and Allison hardly controlled myself snorting. Who asked you to like me?

That middle-aged lady from last night joined before giving a polite smile and taking her seat. Allison learned her name was Grace who happened to be in charge of the kitchen department and mansion assignments and was related to King Lyceon and Princess Ashina.

They started to chit-chat until they heard the heavy footsteps coming in our direction and everyone turned shit silent. Allison knew who it was. The dominating and dark aura and intoxicating scent of his hit her nostrils causing her to stop inhaling.

He walked over and took the head chair on her right side.

This was empty last night as He was not present. To his immediate left side, Aztec and on the right side, Ashina was sitting. Allison could feel the air tightening around and nobody could produce any sound, even the chewing.

She mustered up her courage to look up at him and instantly regretted it. His dark black pitch eyes were already fixated at her intensely. Her hold on the fork tightened under his smouldering gaze and last night even flashed in her mind.

Ironically, Nobody seemed to move an inch. Do they fear him as much as the rumours say? Even his people? Allison thought, lowering her gaze.

"You said you will come by the evening, have you done your work already?" Ashina was the first one to break the eerie silence and Allison relaxed a bit. She felt everyone resume eating.

He didn't say anything but after a minute when Bonnie set his plate, He only said one word, "Yes."

"Why are you not eating anything?" Aztec whispered to Allison who was sitting there, playing with her two-inch pancake morsel on her plate.

"I had oatmeal." she whispered back but didn't didn't miss His dark eyes twitch as He caught them conversing in whispers. Allison avoided his gaze, feeling irritated by his changed demeanour. His behaviour towards her has totally changed from last night.

"Ashina, I need you to meet me in my office and after that you will take Allison shopping. She is in urgent need of a few things. She didn't get the chance to grab all her stuff in a hurry." Allison snapped her head towards him. Really! 'You didn't let me grab them, Brute!'

Ashina raised her eyebrows at him and twisted her lips before casting Allison a look.

"Sure thing, Bro." Her sly smile was another addition to her annoyance.

Allison raised her eyes just to see the reaction of Lola and indeed she looked like she just swallowed a dead pig. Her minions were not present today but she dared to glare at Allison.

Allison rolled her eyes at her but the deep growl reverberated around the hall shook the dining table. Startled, Allison looked at Him to see his cold eyes glaring at Lola who looked shit scared by her King as she bowed her head in submission and Allison heard her unmistakable whimper.

Lyceon warned her for her misbehaviour through the mind link.

"Did you taste the croissants, do you like them, Lyceon?" Grace asked him, grabbing his attention and to lighten the atmosphere. Allison bit her lower lip and shoved the bite of the pancake in her mouth unwantedly.

Lyceon, who had turned to his normal self, looked up at her and there was slight confusion on his face.

"Why? Did you make them today?" He asked in his deep voice. Allison wondered what happened to him this good morning.

"No, I was just asking.." She chuckled. He hummed.

"You shouldn't when you know I don't enjoy sweet things." He stated, eating his pancakes. Allison sighed internally as she didn't want to be judged or commented on by him.

"But you should, They are made by Miss Allison." Ashina chimed in, imitating Bonnie's words in a formal way. Allison stiffened.

'Why are they making it grand? Are they trying to mock me?' Allison still sensed teasing in her words.

But she felt him looking in her direction but He didn't utter anything and looked at the plate filled with croissants which his sister pushed to his side.
