Chapter 3475 Angus Lopez
The woman's expression flickered with surprise as she reached out her delicate hand to take the envelope from Matthew.
Whether intentionally or not, her fingers brushed against Matthew's hand. In the next instant, Matthew's hand withdrew as swiftly as a lightning strike.
Inside, the woman's mind was in turmoil. Did he just recoil from me? Why did he pull his hand back so quickly? And did he step back earlier? He definitely stepped back! I'm wearing the latest perfume-am I not pretty anymore? Frustrated, she turned and walked toward the back room, her steps visibly heavier.
"Ma'am, a piece of advice for you," Matthew called out after her. "Overusing perfume can cause acne and premature aging."
The woman stumbled, nearly losing her balance as her chest heaved with indignation. She barely managed to steady herself. "T-Thank you," she bit out through gritted teeth before storming into the back room. She resolved never to speak to this man again.
After she left, Matthew sniffed at his clothing, making sure no trace of the perfume lingered. Only then did he exhale in relief.
Although Sasha was far away, Matthew prided himself on maintaining a clean and disciplined life. The woman had stood far too close for his comfort, and if he'd remained near her, the scent of her overpowering perfume would undoubtedly have clung to him.
Inside the back room of the Lopez Mining Group, the frustrated woman handed the envelope to Angus, who was leisurely reading a book.
"Here, someone's looking for you. This is for you," she said curtly.
Angus looked up, smiling as he noticed her mood. "Who's managed to make our lovely Ms. Catia so upset?"
Catia didn't bother responding. Seeing Angus hesitate to take the envelope, she placed it on the table and sat down with a huff, refusing to say another word. Angus chuckled wryly and picked up the letter written by Bram. He appeared refined, his casual attire giving him an air far removed from that of a typical merchant.
As Angus read the letter, his eyes sparkled with intrigue. "Well, well, who would send me a letter out of the blue? Of course, it's that gluttonous Tubby Roth."
Glancing at Catia, who was still sulking in the corner, Angus smiled. "Ms. Catia, take a moment to rest here. I head out front to see what kind of person Tubby Roth has sent my way." en
In the front hall of the Lopez Mining Group, Matthew was leaning over a table, examining a piece of iron ore. Judging by its surface and texture, it
was high-quality steel-grade ron.

"I see you know your iron ore, young man," a voice called out cheerfully. Matthew looked up to see Angus emerging from the back with a warm smile on his face.
"I know a little," Matthew replied as he set the ore back on the table and turned toward Angus.
"I've read the letter you brought. Did that guy tell you about our history?" Angus asked, his tone conversational.
Matthew nodded. "Bram said he was fortunate enough to spend some time with you."
Angus' smile faded abruptly, replaced by a cold and distant expression. "Did he also tell you that, thanks to him, I took a bullet in my arm?"
Matthew's face remained impassive
as he shook his head. Bram only mentioned that they shared some time together and had a decent relationship. He didn't mentionnoveldrama
Angus getting shot.
Angus' revelation didn't faze Matthew in the slightest. He wasn't worried about any hostility from Angus. After all...
Matthew's gaze flicked briefly toward the shelves of ore. While he intended to play by the rules, he wasn't above taking the ore for free if things didn't work out.
