Chapter 1936

“Wynn…”

“Morpheus has been kind to me, and I hope for his happiness.” Wynn looked at her intently. “And you, you’re the only girl in this world who has never looked down on me. I hope… you find even greater happiness than Morpheus.”

Persephone choked up, unsure of what to say. Wynn seemed to understand her thoughts. He patted her head, letting everything rest unspoken.

“I’ve never had a proper romantic relationship.” He chuckled bitterly. “But I know love is a beautiful thing. Sephy, you can trust Morpheus.”

Persephone gazed into the distance thoughtfully. A mist hovered over the sea, shrouding her heart as if she could never see the future clearly.

However, Wynn’s words had an effect on her.

After descending the mountain, she inexplicably found herself at the place where Morpheus practiced boxing.

The entrance to the underground arena was tightly shut in broad daylight, guarded by people who were vigilant like watchdogs. In spite of this, they recognized her and knew she was Morpheus’ wife.

This was Persephone’s second time coming here. The first time, she had been blindfolded and brought here against her will. Then, she only felt the deafening noise and the murky air. She disliked it and didn’t want to come near this place.

Yet, she came on her own this time. She just wanted to see what Morpheus’ daily life was like.

“Hey, isn’t this dear Sephy?” A provocatively dressed woman walked up.

Kourtney controlled women like her. They worked at night and would come here to watch the fights when they didn’t want to sleep during the day but had no place to kill time. Sometimes, they’d bet on the winners and make a small profit.

When they saw Persephone, they acted like they saw a rare sight, talking while trying to touch her. Their eyes carried daggers, scrutinizing her.Books Chapters Are Daily Updated Join & Stay Updated For All Books Updates…

Persephone tried to avoid them. Fortunately, Wynn was there to protect her.

After playing around for a while, those women found it boring and dispersed.

One of the women turned around before leaving. She took a puff of smoke, arching her eyebrow at Persephone. “Are you here to find your man?

“He’s over there!” She pointed somewhere. “He has a match soon. Go give him a victory kiss! Hahaha…” Persephone blushed, pushing through the crowd in that direction.

She had already spotted Morpheus. He had changed into sports pants, hands bandaged. His expression was serious, and his eyes betrayed a hint of a killing intent, making his face appear even more stern. “Do you want to watch Morpheus’ match?” Wynn asked softly. “Or… should I take you back? This place, a girl like you can’t handle it. It’s bloody everywhere, and you’ll probably throw up in less than five minutes.”

“But I want to see him,” Persephone spoke softly but with unusual determination. “I want to see what kind of person he truly is.”

“He’s different with you than he is with others.”

She smiled. “Then I should stay even more.”

Persephone stood out like a white rabbit among a group of beastly men, entirely out of place in this environment.

By now, someone had set their sights on her, glaring as if they could strip her clothes off with their eyes.

Morpheus also saw her and was taken aback, rushing over to grab her hand. “Why are you here?” Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

He looked at Wynn. “Take her away! Who allowed you to bring her here?!”

“Morpheus…”

“I wanted to come.” Persephone looked at him. “I wanted to watch your match…”

“There’s nothing to see!” Morpheus was unusually tense today. “Hurry home, got it?”
