Chapter 34
Chapter 34
“Sure. Thank you. Let me know if you come across any issues while you’re exploring the area.” Lianne
gladly gave her work number to the man.
The man replied, “Can I contact you about anything outside work?”
“I’m married.” Lianne smiled before turning on her heel to approach Zane.
The man kept his eyes on Lianne until the latter was with Zane. It was then the light in his eyes
dimmed.
His adequate looks gave him the courage to hit on Lianne, but now that he saw her husband, he
understood why the girl was not at all interested in him.
All the other men paled in comparison to her attractive husband.
Zane sat next to a table of social club members. While some tried to pluck up the courage to ask for
Zane’s number, they simply could not bring themselves to.
Somebody sneaked their phone out to snap a photo of Zane, but one chilling look from Zane was all it
took to scare the photo-taker.
Lianne drew close and sat next to Zane before getting down to work. “Mr. Atlas, I got some. information
from a tourist about the area. There are homestays that charge unnecessarily, and this could be a
potential problem for the brand. I took the contact of the tourist, so he could give me feedback on any
further issues.”
Zane was speechless.
So that was the reason why she exchanged contact information with a stranger.
She would never betray her husband.
Zane said, “Liam has put together a team to rectify this issue.”
So he knew all along. Here Lianne thought she was the first to discover the problem.
She awkwardly scratched her head while Zane was without a word. The pair sat face-to-face in
awkwardness, and no one broke the silence.
The food was served about ten minutes later. Lianne took her phone out to take a picture and sent it to
the group chat. “Look at me. I’m having barbecued wings too.”
Tyler was quick to reply with a voice message. “What’s the point of eating alone? Come back and join
us.”
Lianne responded with a voice note too. “There’s no point in eating alone. You better get your wallet
ready for when I return.”
Tyler suddenly went touchy-feely. “You’ve been away for a month. I miss you.” Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.
Lianne replied, “I miss you too.”
While eating, she exchanged voice messages with Tyler, disregarding Zane at the table.
The spiciness was too much for Lianne by the time she finished a few barbecued wings. She
wanted to order a can of coke when she caught sight of Zane’s grimacing expression. “Mr. Atlas, did
you want the wings too?”
Zane scowled at her before getting up to leave.
His sudden temper was beneath Lianne. Now that Zane was no longer around, she could let her
inhibition go as she ate.
Lianne finished off the portion made for two and paid the bill before happily making her She ran into

way back.
She approached him. “Mr. Atlas, what are you doing here?”
Zane answered, “You’re not my wife. Why do I have to report my whereabouts to you?”
Lianne was at a loss for words.
She was only showing him concern. There was no need for his attitude.
Had she known, Lianne would have pretended not to see him and slipped away.
