Marrying my high school bully

An unexpected proposal

Lorraine

A smile crept to my face when I saw how peaceful Dexter’s sleep was. He was shirtless, the covers ridden down to his waist together with the bright sun rays reflecting into the room gave me a mind blowing sight.

I gazed at the rise and fall of his broad chest, his stretched sturdy abs and his thick muscles. His jet black hair which covered a part of his gorgeous face.

Oh, how I loved his ripped body.

His eyes flipped open as he greeted me with the sexiest smile ever. “Are you just checking me out? I thought you would eat me up as well.”

My cheeks heated as I looked away. That wouldn’t be a bad idea, but I didn’t feel like going on another round with him, even though he was capable of putting me in the mood.

“Good morning, hubby.” I evaded his question. “Did you sleep well?” I brushed away the strands of his hair.

He nodded, his skilled fingers reaching for my thighs under the covers. “With a beautiful angel beside me, I’m sure to sleep like a baby.” He joked as his palm found my ass.

He squeezed it gently, causing me to jerk closer to him. “A morning quickie won’t be a bad idea, am I right?” He asked, wriggling his brows playfully while I slapped his palm away.

“You can never be satisfied, can you?”

“Never. Not when you have such an appealing body that can make any man swoon. Any man, Lorraine.” He said sweetly and my cheeks grew hotter. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

Did I actually think I could be away from Dexter for so long or allow another woman to have him?

He was right about having children outside. A lot of kids didn’t know about the security and love that came from having good parents. There was no need to beat myself up, if I could love a child that came from my womb then I could love one that wasn’t.

“Don’t you have a job to go to? You’ve practically made yourself jobless because of me.” I scolded him lightly, sliding out of the bed stylishly.

“Because you deserve it.” He stated seriously.

I bit my lip and folded my arms. “How did you cope yesterday, I mean after I ran away like that? I even dropped you.” I slapped my forehead in embarrassment.

He sighed and straightened. “Do you want me to be honest?”

I nodded. “Yes.”

“I nearly lost my sanity. Several scary thoughts ran through my mind because I didn’t know where and how to find you. I think fate brought you to the club last night so we could see each other again.” He explained.

“How do you mean?” I asked quietly, my heart tearing apart as he recounted his experience.

“After asking Arnold about you and getting a negative response, I headed to a cafe and there I saw someone who shared a striking resemblance with you. When I realized that I’d stopped the wrong person, I began to slide into depression. Later in the evening after getting the same negative response from Drake, I decided to go to the club for a little distraction.”

“And you allowed her to give you a lap dance?” I fired, feeling jealous once again. “If you need it, I can give it to you.” I tut my lips and rolled my eyes.

Dexter burst into a bout of laughter, which was more teasing than fun motivated. “You should take a look at your face. You look so ready to beat up the lady.” His body shook hysterically while I flung a pillow at him.

“Maybe I’ll give someone a lap dance so that you’ll know how it feels.”

All the traces of laughter extinguished from his face as he glared at me. “First of all, don’t even think about doing that on anyone but me. Secondly, the stripper forced herself on me, it wasn’t like I was interested in her and I was about to push her away when you saw me.”

“Territorial, much?” I teased him and returned to the bed on my own volition, but I didn’t spare a glance at him. “I trust you, it’s those women that I don’t trust.” I sulked.

He chuckled and trailed his fingers on my skin. “You are my wife and I’m very sure that the whole world knows it, but if they don’t then let’s pick a wedding date. And it has to be soon.” He announced and I felt my chest lighten, my eyes swooning.

“Isn’t it too soon?” I whispered even though I wanted it badly, then he got up from the bed and picked up his pants.

He produced a little box and approached me with a confident expression. He opened the box and a bright diamond stone, fixed on a pure golden band came in view. My heart swelled and my eyes became misty.

“I wanted to do this on the night of your birthday, but life happened, yet I took this box everywhere I went, hoping that I’d propose any day I found you. I didn’t know it would be this soon.” He swallowed, his eyes blazing with anxiety.

He didn’t have to be nervous because I was more than ready to be his real wife.

“Can you put the ring on already? My finger is itching to have it on.” I urged him and he grinned, the hints of nervousness disappearing. “Did you think I’d reject you? I’ve been dreaming about this since high school until I thought you hurt me and I stopped.”

“I’d never hurt you like that, baby, and you know that.” He leaned in for a kiss to seal the engagement even though we were married. “You’ll have to choose a dress today. So get ready so that Drake can pick you up. He knows the right place to take you.”

I smacked my lips as I gaped at how well the ring suited my finger. “Someone’s ready to wife me up. I can’t wait to tell Stella about it, she’ll be all over the moon.”

“I’ll send some money to your account right now. It should be enough to take care of any expenses incurred, and please pick what you’ll be comfortable in. You’re beautiful anyhow.” He stated and I hugged him, enjoying how sweet he was.

“Thank you.” I muttered, fiddling with my ring.

“For what?” He inquired softly, scrolling through his phone.

“For being the man of my dreams.” I replied and he scoffed.

“You’re welcome.” He replied cockily and then I decided I was ready to give him the quickie he wanted.
