Mistake with the Alpha

POV

"Yes, she's Jaylen's true mate. If I had known that she's so close I would have done something about it" she said painfully.

Diana knows that if they win, she too wins because she's an outcast witch that doesn't have a place to stay. She only goes out at night because she's been banned from where she lives and would be killed if seen. My father was the one who saved her from a hunter that wanted to tear her into pieces. Ever since she has my father's protection. She can't go anywhere without his permission. So if we lose, she loses too. "Are you saying Sam is Jaylen's true mate?" I asked, still not getting cleared in her words.

"Yes she is and there's nothing we can do about the feeling he has for her" Diana replied.

"There must be something," I shouted.

I can imagine losing to that maid after all I've put into the whole thing. I'll give all it takes. That Luna seat is mine. I won't be a laughing stock.

"Can't we eliminate her?" My father asked and that's the most beautiful thing I've ever heard him say.

"Yes, that should end all our troubles" I second my father on the issue.

Diana shook her head sadly.

"You can't tell me it's not possible. That thing shouldn't be hard for you to eliminate" I said rudely to Diana.

My tone made her frown at me and I know she's angry.

"Sorry, I was just overwhelmed by the whole thing" I apologised.

"Killing her will be your doom" Diana said blankly.

"Why?" I frowned.

"Where did you think I took the mating bond on your body from?" She asked.

Her words were vague to me but I didn't say anything. I know if I say a word, I might be rude again and I don't want to get the witch angry.

"I took part of the mating bond from Jaylen's mate's body and gave it to you while I blocked the rest of it from her. I didn't know that she's so close to him that's why he hasn't found her all the while. So killing her will expose you and that will make Jaylen hate you like everyone hates the devil" she said.

I didn't want Jaylen to hate me neither do I want that bi*ch close to him. I looked at my father for help. I really need help on this issue.

"We've understood you Diana. We can't let this lady be there with him. We won't achieve anything either. So what's the solution to this whole thing? I want Jaylen to mark my daughter once and for all. So that we can move to the next plan" he said with a serious look.

"The ball is still in your court Allison. You have to look for a plan. Drug him or do anything. Make sure he lays with you. Then your side of the bond will be stronger to him. Find a way to make him send the woman away" she said to her. "Can you do that girl?" My father asked me.

I nod my head." But I have a clause" I said looking at Diana who was already doing another thing.

I do wonder what that lonely woman does all the time.

"What's that?" She asked knowing I was talking to her without even lifting her head to see me look at her.

"Jaylen is a lycan alpha. The wolf's bane doesn't work on him. How then am I to drug him?" I asked.

It's a known thing that the wolf's bane doesn't work on the lycans, talk more of a lycan alpha. They are stronger creatures than we mere werewolves. Even if I put it in their drink, they'll never get drunk. "There must be something that will weaken them. Just go look for it" she replied.

"But don't you have any mixture that can easily make me achieve that?" I asked.

I didn't know where I wanted to go to search for something that would weaken the lycan. In that case someone might even see me and tell the rest. My plans will be ruined.

"If I have what you wanted, there's nothing, I have to gain in telling you to go look for it yourself. I don't derive joy in stressing you unnecessarily. I would have given you before you asked, " she replied. "Ok I'll go look for it" I accepted.

I don't know where to even go but I know I'll surely get it.

"Sam, enjoy yourself with the alpha while it lasts. Your dying days are moving closer" I said inwards.

"Don't worry Allison, I'll do it for you. You just go look for a plan to make that girl leave" my father said.

We bade Diana goodbye and left. I left for the pack while my father left for his house. By the time I got into the palace it was very dark. I know no one would notice my leaving. So I slipped into my room.

After I've changed and freshened up, I then went to Jaylen's room to sleep by his side. I don't even know if he would be asleep. I then entered his room without knocking hoping to sneak in. But I was then so disappointed because I found the bed empty. I didn't even think twice. The next thing was to go look for my informant. "No Luna. We've not seen her for hours now" she replied.

"Ok you can go" I said and then went back to my room.

I had wished I could scatter all the room with anger but I know the maids will know that it was done by me. Jaylen has gone to sleep with that wh*re.

"Aish!" I pulled my hair angrily.
