Mistake with the Alpha

Mistake With The Alpha Chapter 49

Allison's POV

That wasn't what I was expecting from the man. I knew he would have heard about Sam. He should have put the blame on her.

"I know and I understand that he has fallen in love with another. I'm even feeling like I'm taking another lady's man" I said with a pale voice.

"Cut that off. Jaylen is yours alone. You are his true mate and the fling he has for that girl will go. You don't have to be scared that the mating bond is stronger than just a fling. Nothing is as powerful as love" he said.

He thought he was consoling me but didn't know he was only adding salt to my wound. I need him to do more than give me this annoying preaching.

"I know" I smiled stiffly. "It's just that it hurts to see the man you love sleep with another" I let my tears fall.

That really caught Gerard. He widened his eyes.

"What!" He exclaimed.

"Please forget I said that. I didn't mean to say that" I quickly apologised as if I was truly oblivious that it would trigger the man's anger.

"Are you telling me Jaylen is still sleeping with that girl?" He asked with a very angry look.

"Please don't take my words. I'm really sorry it slipped off" I begged.

"No, I won't accept that. This is what I won't accept. Where the hell is that girl?" He shouted.

Now that's the reaction I want. I smiled in my heart. "Sam, you are so dead" I jubilated in my heart.

Just then Jaylen dim it fit to enter. He paused looking from me to his father.

"Hi," I said innocently.

He didn't reply to me. He just moved to his seat.

"You would treat your mate right!" Gerard sparked.

He didn't reply to his father, he just sat down. I wondered what was wrong with him. Well he looks so tired. Why won't he? He is using all his strength to sleep with that girl. Looking at Gerard, I know there would be a lot of trouble. I wish to stay but I know it won't be nice to. "I'll be in the garden if you need me" I said.

I didn't even wait for anyone to reply before I excused myself. I had posted a guard there so he would feed me back with all the necessary information. I sure know I would make that Sam girl suffer. Jaylen's POV

I was woken by the ringing of my phone. I looked at the walk clock and realised it was still very early. I looked beside me and saw the woman that pleased my heart sleeping soundly. She looks so peaceful and beautiful, just like a child. Smiles made their way to my lips but disappeared as they came. I just wish this woman could be mine and this mating thing isn't there to interrupt my life.

My phone rang again. "What!" I said grumpily.

"Alpha, your attention is needed at the site" Alvin's voice came out from the receiver.

"What's wrong?" I asked him.

I wasn't planning to move out at all. My plan was to be there when Sam wakes up.

"We discovered another thing on the land," he said.

Now I know I need to be there.

"I'll be there in thirty" I said and ended the call.

I looked at the sleeping beauty beside me again. I didn't want to leave her all by herself. I know it's a risk but I have to leave my selfish attitude and care for her. I thought of whom I could trust to keep her safe. Then my mind went to Ethan. My Gemma. Gemmas are protectors of the Luna but for now I have to borrow him for the love of my life.

"Ethan, I need you at my place," I said to him on the phone.

"Yes, Alpha. I'm on my way" he said.NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.

I didn't need to tell him where I was. He sure knows where I do call my place. It wasn't long before he arrived.

"Alpha" he bowed as he got him.

I've told him that he shouldn't be formal, but as Ethan is, he wouldn't obey me on that. Then a scowl gathered on my face when I saw someone beside him.

"Wow! None told me that there's such a magnificent building in this village". That so annoying voice dare to say.

"My pack is not a village" I growled.

To me my pack is still the most beautiful pack of all and for him to call it all a village is like an insult.

"Sorry my bad," he said laughing.

This guy knows how to annoy someone.

"Ethan what is he doing here?" I glared at Ethan.

I don't even want him anywhere near Sam. I don't trust him a bit.

"Alpha I didn't have the intention to bring him here. He disappeared into my car" he explained quickly.

I looked angrily at Drey

"How many times have I told you that your witch power is prohibited in my territory?" I asked.

"C'mon Alpha," he smiled. "I'm bored here and I know if I ask your Gemma to tag me along with him, he hates me and he would never agree," he said.

"Good to know that you know I hate you" Ethan grumbled.

"That's because you are not needed here and moreover I don't care. No witch power in my territory. Am I clear?" I said authoritatively.

"It's not as if I'm the only one using witch power around here" he murmured.

"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked firmly.

"Nothing," he said and grinned.

If I wasn't so in a hurry I would have made sure to send that troubled person out of my house and again I wouldn't want to wake Sam.

"Ethan, Sam is upstairs. Stay with her and make sure to notify me when she is awake" I said

With the way Drey gave expression I know he has something to say but I looked at him sternly daring him to a word. He got my message right and kept his mouth shut but wouldn't stop grinning. Then I left for the construction site. Getting there, it was discovered in another part of the land, there was gold underneath.

"Wow! This land is so blessed" I said to alvin.

"Yes alpha," he said.

I then made sure to see to the progress of the mine construction and it was going well. Then my father's call came in with the urgency of his voice, I knew something was wrong. I quickly bade Alvin and the workers bye and headed for the pack house. I rushed into my office, then as I opened the door I saw my father and Allison. I paused to look at the two. Something seemed off but I couldn't fix it.

"Hi Jaylen," Allison said.

I didn't reply because I'm still angry with what she did with Sam and Sally. Those two are close to my heart and she decided to hurt them. I do understand that she is jealous but she shouldn't have lied to me. "You would treat your mate right!" My Father shouted at him angrily.

If he hadn't been my father I would have glared at him but I stayed calm and went to my seat. I know he's disappointed in me but I'm sorry I can't help it. I won't marry a wicked woman even if she's my mate. "I'll be in the garden if you need me" she said palely.

She didn't even wait for any to reply before she excused herself. As she left I was feeling guilty at one side. All she's doing is all my fault. I was the one who wouldn't give her attention.

After she left, my father kept glaring at me.

"What?" I asked.

"I also had a fling before I met your mother but immediately I met her, I let go. You can't treat your mate like that. She's the only one that completes you" he said.
