Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money

Chapter 553

Chapter 553

Cynthia could understand each word individually, but when they were put together, she became confused.

Pointing to the first point, she asked with great difficulty, “Did something happen to him?”

“Nothing major. He’s doing well. He can eat and drink. It’s just that there are some minor issues I haven’t been able to resolve.

Sean downplayed the situation.

Upon hearing this, Cynthia felt reassured. She did not think much of it and assumed Joshua must have found out about Sean contacting her privately. If that were the case, she would call Felix and ask him to take Joshua away after making sure Joshua was fine.

As for the losses Sean mentioned, they were just minor issues.

“Alright,” Cynthia said, taking his pen to sign the document.

However, Cynthia suddenly hesitated.

Sean, feeling anxious, pretended to be calm and asked, “What’s wrong?”

“Are you hiding something from me?” Cynthia looked at Sean. If she remembered correctly, Joshua made a deal with Sean to save her, and knowing Sean’s character, he would only let her tale Joshua away if he had achieved his own goals.

This was clearly suspicious.

Sean appeared puzzled, putting on a convincing act and asking, “What do you mean?”

Cynthia continued to stare at him

Sean maintained his composed demeanor, but his hands hanging by his sides were slightly sweaty, and he felt uneasy.

“Oh, by the way, although Joshua is currently active and lively, he still needs to come for a monthly check–up.” Sean promptly changed the subject.

“Alright,” Cynthia agreed.

Seeing that Sean was not being suspicious, Cynthia signed the document.

The worst–case scenario was that Joshua was not fully healed, and Sean could not treat him. If that were the case, it would be expected for Sean to insist on her taking Joshua away.

Two copies of the contract were prepared, and Sean handed Cynthia her copy, instantly feeling a weight off his shoulders.

Finally, he could get rid of the burden that Joshua had become!

“Ms. Yates, please follow me,” Sean said, now enthusiastic

Cynthia followed him, but this time they did not go to the previous medical room. Instead, they went in the opposite direction, passing through four password–protected doors.

After the fourth door opened, Sean entered and spoke coaxingly, “Joshua, your sister is here to take you home.”

Cynthia was puzzled.

Joshua? Sister?

In a state of confusion, she walked Into the room where Joshua was staying. As she entered, she saw Joshua sitting in a chair, reading a book. Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
