Chapter 34: Threw Anna’s Stuff Away
Chapter 34: Threw Anna’s Stuff Away
Mirabelle gracefully walked into the Powell Group.
The lobby of the building was busy and packed with people.
Everyone became quiet the moment Mirabelle stepped into the lobby.
Everyone looked at Mirabelle with a curious look. Mirabelle declared herself as Brooklyn’s fiancé for six years. Many media reported that Brooklyn and Mirabelle were going to get married soon. Furthermore, she was the daughter of the Moss family. The Powell Group staff didn’t dare to disobey her orders.
Mirabelle headed to the reception counter in her pink heels. She leaned onto the counter and said, “I want to see Brooklyn.”
The receptionist recognized that Mirabelle was the director’s fiancé. She stood up and nodded politely.
“Just a second, Ms. Moss.”
The receptionist didn’t dare to offend Mirabelle. She was thinking if Mirabelle became the wife of the director, it would be really easy for Mirabelle to fire her. NôvelDrama.Org is the owner.
The receptionist dialled a number.
Harper frowned after hearing what the receptionist said over the phone, “Give me a minute.”
Why Ms. Moss came to the office today?
Did Ms. Moss come to make noise because she knew Ms. Miller helped in the collaboration with Hillvie?
Harper quickly rushed to the director’s office and told Brooklyn what happened before Harper could figure it out.
Brooklyn looked calm. He frowned and sneered.
“Let her up.”
Brooklyn was interested to see what Mirabelle wanted to do.
Mirabelle walked out of the lift like a winner after ten minutes.
Brooklyn let her up. She must mean something to Brooklyn.
Mirabelle smiled. She promised herself not to get angry no matter what. She had to act like a lady in front of Brooklyn.
Mirabelle headed to Brooklyn’s office as she was so used to it, then she knocked on the door. Mirabelle’s heart was racing when Brooklyn asked her to enter the room.
Mirabelle saw Diana’s desk the moment she pushed open the door.
Mirabelle immediately got angry.
“Where’s Anna?”
Brooklyn looked at her and asked coldly, “Mirabelle, is this why you came today?”
Mirabelle was furious. She couldn’t think straight.
She walked towards Diana’s desk.
Cosmetics were placed on Diana’s desk. Powder, lipsticks and so on.
When did these things appear in Brooklyn’s office? All these years, even she dropped her lipsticks in Brooklyn’s office, he would ask people to throw it out! Who did Anna think she was to work together
with Brooklyn?
Mirabelle raised her hands, then swiped everything on Diana’s desk onto the ground. The perfumes and glasses on the desk were broken and scattered on the ground.
Harper was sending documents to Brooklyn. He walked into the scene with the Financial Manager.
They saw how crazy Mirabelle looked in Brooklyn’s office.
Is this Mirabelle?
Harper and the Financial Manager were stunned.
Mirabelle was always a graceful lady under their impression. She never acted like this.
Mirabelle was wearing luxurious haute couture. Everything on Diana’s desk was on the ground. Mirabelle then tore Diana’s draft into pieces and threw it on the ground.
“Who Anna think she is to share an office with you, Brooklyn? A big company like the Powell Group can’t even provide her with an office? I feel worried for my fiancé to be under the same roof with a woman like her!”
Brooklyn glared at Mirabelle and said, “Is that all you’ve got to say?”
“I’m not done yet!” Mirabelle flushed red out of anger. She went into a ranting mood, “How much did you spend on Anna? She is so young. Mr. and Mrs. Hill won’t notice her even if she is the best perfumer in the world. Even… Even the most famous perfumer in the world now won’t even be recognized by Mr. and Mrs. Hill! Brooklyn, why did you spend so much on a woman that didn’t have any background?”
Mirabelle’s heart was broken. Her eyes were red, and tears almost rolled down her cheek.
She should have been wary of Anna!
Looking like that, yet she still wore thick makeup to the office every day.
It was so obvious that she wanted to seduce Brooklyn.
Anna said she wanted to apply for the position of Brooklyn’s assistant. What a joke! Anna could easily become one of the top perfumers in the Powell Group based on her capabilities. Why would she go through all the troubles to become just an assistant to Brooklyn?
Harper and the Financial Manager didn’t even dare to breathe.
Both of them exchanged glances. Did they just walk into Mr. Powell’s family affair?
“Mirabelle, if you come to make trouble, might as well get lost now.” Brooklyn put the contract aside after dropping his signature in the document. After closing the pen cap, he sneered. Brooklyn sounded cold, and the air froze in the office.
“Anna is a staff of the Powell Group. I hired her, and I allowed her to work in my office. Mirabelle, are you trying to blame me?”
Mirabelle startled when she heard Brooklyn’s cold tone.
“No… Brooklyn. Listen…”
“You don’t look scared when you threw Anna’s stuff on the ground,” Brooklyn sneered, “What a big disappointment for the Moss family to raise a daughter like you.”
Mirabelle wiped away her tears, “I can pay for compensation.”
“Compensation? Mirabelle, is this how you apologize?” Brooklyn didn’t even want to look at Mirabelle, “Harper, the progress of projects.”
Harper took a peek at Mirabelle. He nodded and nervously walked towards Brooklyn and started to update Brooklyn about the progress of several projects.
Mirabelle was left out and left alone.
Nobody cared about her as if she was a grass beside the road.
The Financial Manager shook his head. It seemed like the daughter of the Moss family wasn’t as clever as he thought.
Mirabelle felt humiliated. She bit her lips so hard that they almost bleed.
Brooklyn never even look at her anymore, no matter how long she stayed.
After Mirabelle left, Harper asked softly, “Mr. Powell, Anna’s personal items…”
Things Anna used was rather pricey, although she was just an assistant to Brooklyn. Anna looked well- off.
Who knew how mad could Anna be if she came back and saw Mirabelle scattered and broke her stuff.
Especially with that straightforward attitude, Anna dared to scold anyone.
It won’t be a pleasant scene if Anna found out that Mirabelle broke her stuff.
