My Aloof Sisters Asked for My Forgiveness

Chapter 611

"Fake?!"

Darren's eyes widened in shock as he stared at the screen. He could not take his eyes off it.

When the results were revealed, Darren was not the only one who was stunned. The entire hall went silent.noveldrama

All three of Darren's antiques were fake. Not even one was real.

A moment later, the hall exploded into chaos.

Everyone had high expectations for those items. Most of them believed they were real.

Darren was a well-known collector in Hattan's antique industry. He had years of experience, and people trusted his expertise and judgment.

But he got all three items wrong. They were all fake.

He had been wrong about Dustin's vase, and his own choices were even worse. Three mistakes in a row. He lost everything!

How ironic was that?

A respected collector like Darren had a far less discerning eye for antiques than a young man like Dustin.

"Fake? How could they all be fake?! Dad, we lost everything!" Luna's vision blurred, and she nearly fainted.

She and Killian had fully trusted Darren's judgment. They never expected this outcome.

They lost over a million!

The Langley family was rich, but there were many members in the family. After dividing all the money and assets among themselves, none of them were very wealthy. For Luna's family, a million was a big sum.

It was a huge loss! A devastating one!

Darren's eyes were unfocused, and his mind was spinning.

"We lost... lost..."

All he could think about was the money they lost, and he trembled.

After a moment, Darren calmed down, but his face was pale, and he nearly lost his temper.

He never thought he would make such a mistake, and the consequences were harsh.

Over a million dollars was gone just like that.

It was not just the money that bothered him. What really upset him was losing his reputation in front of everyone. He cared a lot about his reputation.

"Dad, are you okay?" Luna was worried. She was afraid Darren might collapse from the shock.

Darren's lips trembled. His voice was hoarse, and he could not speak for a while.

"I told you all along that all three items were fake, but you didn't listen," Dustin said casually from a distance.

It was not surprising Darren got it wrong. Dustin knew who had made the fake antiques.

There was someone at Star Tower who could make copies so perfectly that even experts could not tell them apart.

Even prominent collectors and the original creators themselves would not always be able to spot the difference, let alone Darren.

The three of them stared at Dustin but did not know what to say.

Dustin had figured it out right away and had warned them twice.

But they did not listen and mocked him instead.

Looking back, if they had listened just once, they would not have lost over a million dollars.

How had Dustin figured it out when Darren could not?

Was he some kind of genius?

Darren was furious. His heart pounded with anger.

"What you know isn't just 'a little.' Uncle Darren doesn't even compare to you, Simone said. She realized Dustin was really knowledgeable.

"I was just being humble," Dustin said with a smile, "unlike some who just don't listen out of arrogance. In the end, they're the ones who regret it

Darren and Luna were furious.

They had mocked Dustin before, and it was backfiring on them.

“Shut up! It's your fault!” Darren shouted angrily. “If you hadn't jinxed it, maybe I would've picked the real one!"

Dustin could not help but laugh. It was pretty embarrassing for Darren, at his age, to be saying something like that.
