My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul

Chapter 1611

Ruth had come to a realization. If she didn't look out for herself, no one else would. There was no room for hesitation anymore. She had to act and act decisively.

Jed said, "Alright, I'm in. Tell me what to do."

"You know my brother, Steven, right? His wife is pregnant. She goes out every day for walks or errands. We'll wait until she's out and then..."

The sharp sound of breaking glass echoed through the room as Elsie hurled a crystal vase against the wall. Shards scattered across the floor, glittering like tiny, shattered stars.

She clutched her phone, her hand trembling with frustration as though ready to hurl it next. But at the last moment, she stopped, her grip tightening around the device.

The past few days had been an endless, fruitless battle to meet Joe. Every attempt had been futile. It was as if he was deliberately avoiding her. She had gone to the Martin Group, only to be turned away at the entrance. She'd even tried stopping his car on the street, but he owned so many vehicles. It was impossible to know which one he would be in, or it was just Paul and Lucas orchestrating her failure all along.

They were doing everything they could to prevent her from meeting Joe. It was as if they were treating her like a threat, something to be feared and avoided.

Her thoughts spiraled. How am I a threat?

She tried calling Paul again, but after their last conversation, he had blocked her. Over the past couple of days, she couldn't make sense of what was going on.

Could Joe truly be indifferent to what she had said?

But Elsie refused to believe that, her mind racing.

The woman who had given her the bracelet-she had to find her. That woman knew something.

Perhaps delivering another bracelet to Joe would spark his memories of their past life. It had to work.

As these frantic thoughts consumed her, her phone rang suddenly, slicing through the silence. The screen displayed an unfamiliar number.

Her heart skipped a beat, unease mingling with a flicker of hope. Could it be...

Elsie quickly answered, her voice trembling.

"Are you in trouble again?" The woman's voice was calm and soothing, as though it could melt away the tension coiled in Elsie's chest.

Elsie responded eagerly, "Yes, I am! I'm in trouble again. I've been trying to reach you. You're the only one who can help me now."

"Don't worry," the woman said, hernoveldrama

tone steady and reassuring. "I already guessed you'd be facing some trouble. Some things aren't your fault, but you still have to bear the consequences. Meet me at the same place as last time."

"Okay, I'll go meet you now!" Elsie hung up, her face lighting up with an uncontainable smile. She hurried to change her clothes, her heart pounding with renewed

determination.

She had always believed fate

wouldn't abandon her. It couldny ot

have given her a second chance at life only to leave her powerless to change anything.

No-fate had been especially kind to her.
