After leaving Hughes Residence, Skylar dropped Caleb off at his house before heading to the

mall.

While on the way, Jeremy called to apologize for his family members‘ attitude, which Skylar accepted.

After buying a dress at the mall, she went to Natalie’s café.

When she arrived, she noticed a staff member stationed outside.

“I’m sorry, we’re not open for business right now. We will open again after a few days.”

That was when Skylar remembered that Natalie’s café would be closed to the public for ten days because a film crew had rented it out.

However, she caught a glimpse inside and unexpectedly saw Austin.

She raised her eyebrows as she realized why the crew had agreed to all of Natalie’s conditions.

It was all because of Austin.

It seemed likely that Austin’s return was for Natalie.

Skylar smiled at the thought, feeling it was a good development.

It looked like Natalie would be busy for the day, so she decided to visit another time.

As soon as Skylar got home, Natalie called her.

“How was it with the Hughes family?”

“Nothing major, it’s already been resolved. However, those two who bullied the young girl were just bad on their own. It had nothing to do with any cursed object.”

Natalie just chuckled. “I’ve been scrolling through social media these past few days, and I’ve

seen a lot of stories about them.

“Everyone says Zack and Quincey have been troublemakers since childhood, and now they’ve finally hit a wall. The situation is blowing up, and even if their family wants to use

connections to smooth things over, it’s not going to be easy.”

“You’re right.” Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

“Anyway, I’ve got to go. I’ll probably be busy until midnight,” Natalie said hurriedly.

Skylar just replied, “Alright.”

The next day, Caleb came over in the morning with a custom–made dress.

“One of Uncle John’s friends is a fashion designer, so I got this dress from him. It’s the smallest size. Go and try it on. If it doesn’t fit, I can have him adjust it,” he said.

Skylar tried it on and came downstairs.

Caleb couldn’t take his eyes off her, swallowing hard in awe.

Skylar looked stunning. Caleb thought no one could pull off this dress better than Skylar. It was a one–shoulder white gown that revealed a bare collarbone and shoulder, with skin so fair it was dazzling.

The dress hugged Skylar’s figure, perfectly showing off her silhouette. It was flawless.

Caleb thought he had never seen a woman so beautiful. In his mind, no one could be compared to Skylar.

“You’ll steal the show tonight when I take you there! I’m not exaggerating,” he said enthusiastically.

Caleb felt that no words could fully capture what he was seeing. Skylar was like a timeless vision, a muse who had always perfectly matched his aesthetic.

This time, he was determined to win, Skylar’s heart. He was certain that no one else could ever take her place in his heart.

“That’s good,” Skylar said, pleased with the dress.

She had checked herself in the mirror earlier and found that it looked even better than the one she had bought at the mall. It suited her perfectly. Then, she glanced at the time. “What time should we leave?”

“Around four should be fine,” Caleb replied, also checking the time. It was now eleven in the morning, so they had a few hours to spare.

He had originally thought he might need to make alterations if the dress didn’t fit well, but it turned out to be a perfect fit.

Skylar smiled and said, “Do you have other plans for lunch? If not, stay and have lunch with me. I’ll cook a few dishes.‘

Caleb’s eyes

widened in surprise, so he quickly replied, “I don’t have any other plans!”
