Jasper looked forbidding.

He sounded intimidating and frightening when he gave his statement.

Willow's reason for leaving Hughes Corporation was that she had a better option elsewhere.

She ended up joining Xavier's company right after leaving.

It was clear that she joined for Xavier's sake!

Did she be the first to arrive at Xavier's company because she wanted to see Xavier as soon as she could?

Meanwhile, for Hughes Corporation, even though Tyson called her up to remind her not to be late for work, she was still late by ten minutes.

It was easy to tell who was more important to her from her attitude in coming to work.

Jasper's dark eyes looked like a bottomless pit to Willow. Her chest tightened from the immense pressure she was feeling.

The tiger was about to lash out, so she had to soothe him the way he liked.

She couldn't possibly ruffle his fur.

Willow didn't want to anger him. She was forced to stand with a wine glass for a few hours last night. It had been frightening for her heart and painful for her waist

and legs, so she didn't want to experience that a second time.

Jasper's aura mellowed down at her decent reply. "You may leave."

Willow quickly bowed and left the office.

Upon returning to her room, she dropped the fake smile and breathed a sigh of relief.

Jasper's mood was so uncertain and unpredictable.

Thankfully he didn't insist on making things hard for her.

He hadn't seemed to have made any unreasonable requests of her ever since he made her his lover yesterday.

Were they supposed to be in a relationship now like normal couples?

Willow was arranging some files in her office when she received a call from the receptionist, Fanny. "Ms. Nason, a woman is asking to see Mr. Hughes, claiming that she's an old friend of his."

Willow asked for the woman's name and learned that she was someone named Yelena Anderson.

She checked the woman's details and found out that Yelena was the daughter of Anderson Corporation, a bonafide noble lady.

Yelena's claim of being Jasper's old friend didn't seem suspicious to Willow since they both came from affluent families.

However, Willow called Tyson as a

mentioned that I could ask you if I had any questions. Does this still hold?"

"Of course, go ahead," Tyson said.

Willow asked him directly, "Mr. Hughes' old friend, Yelena Anderson would like to

see him. Do I let her through?"

She could've called Jasper to check, but the fear of disrupting his work and making him angry stopped her.

Tyson said, "Yelena is the daughter of Anderson Corporation. She goes way back with Mr. Hughes. What do you think?"noveldrama

Tyson posed a question back to Willow instead of answering her directly.

Willow instantly knew the answer. "Alright, I understand. You're truly a treasure chest of information, Mr. Ward."

After hanging up, Willow called the receptionist to let their guest through.

She then stood at the elevator to welcome Yelena.

After a brief moment, the elevator doors opened to reveal a stylish woman dressed in branded clothing and carrying a Chanel bag. She had short hair, big eyes, a sharp chin, and a well-proportionate figure. She was a pretty person.

Yelena walked out of the elevator.

She looked like a socialite with her white gold necklace and pearl earrings.

Willow welcomed her with a smile. "This way please, Ms. Anderson."

Yelena looked at her out of the corner of her eyes and asked haughtily, "Are you Jasper's new secretary?"
