"Why wouldn't I?" Miles said, tossing his backpack at Nathan.

He believed he had nothing to hide and wasn't afraid of being searched. But the next moment, he watched as Nathan pulled an expensive watch out of his backpack.

Nathan spun the watch around on his finger, then looked at the pale-faced Miles with a smug grin. "Caught red-handed. How do you explain this?"

Miles was stunned for a moment, his mind blank as he said in disbelief, "That's impossible. I've never seen that watch before. I didn't steal it."

"If you didn't steal it, then why is it in your bag?" Nathan sneered, his tone dripping with contempt. "You've got quite the eye, going straight for the most expensive one I own.

"This watch is worth over ten hundred thousand. If I report this to the police, you're definitely going to jail."

Miles was so angry he almost blew up. He took a deep breath, trying to stay calm. "Nathan, what do you really want?"

"What do I want?" Nathan said, putting on a mysterious look, then drawled, "If you get your little beauty to beg me for mercy, I might let you off the hook."
