My Substitute CEO Bride

Chapter 1661

Lana saw the dejected look on Nash's face and immediately burst into laughter. "Didn't catch any fish?"

"How did you catch the fish from yesterday?"

"When you fell, you knocked out two fish!"

"Let's just make do with anything."

Nash placed the leftover wolf meat from yesterday, which had been soaked by rain all night, on the fire to heat it up. After another hour, the two of them, having eaten their fill, began exploring the island. The deserted island was surrounded by sea and was roughly the size of an international sports center. It was relatively small for an island.

Nash's clothes were tattered, and he could feel a breeze through the tear at his crotch when he walked.

As the sun rose higher, Lana soon became drenched in sweat. Unable to stand it any longer, Lana supported her hands on her knees and gasped. "Mr. Calcraft, can we take a break?"

Nash turned and glanced at Lana. "You're a grandmaster-level martial artist yet your stamina is worse than mine, an ordinary person's?"

At some point, Lana had undone the top two buttons of her shirt. In her current position, with her hands on her knees, she was indeed an enticing sight.

Unaware of Nash's gaze, Lana continued to whine pitifully, "But I'm really tired..."

"Alright, let's take a break," Nash replied. His Adam's apple bobbed in his throat as he retracted his gaze and walked toward a shady tree.

True martial artists trained their physical bodies while also cultivating true energy. However, Lana had only cultivated her true energy, leaving her physical condition similar to that of an ordinary woman.

Lana plopped down under the shade, raising her arm to wipe the sweat from her face. Her white shirt, soaked with sweat, had become semi-transparent, revealing the pink lace bra underneath. She fanned herself with her collar, her throat parched. "You rest here for a bit. I'll go find some water," Nash said.

With that, he took his spear and walked toward the island's center.

Nash made his way through the underbrush to the inner area of the island, where he found a large patch of wild kudzu vines. These vines contained a lot of water and had some nutritional value. He set down his spear and was about to collect the vines when he noticed a small sapling emitting a green glow.

The sapling was less than a meter tall and had about a dozen palm-sized green leaves that emitted a faint green light. Nash's eyes lit up.

"This is... a spiritual plant..."

He could not put a name to it, but he knew that this sapling was definitely a spiritual plant. He reached out to touch a leaf, closed his eyes, and felt a warm current flow through his body from his fingertips. Peace came upon his mind, and it felt like he was taking a soak in a hot spring. His eyes snapped open, a fiery intensity alight in his dark pupils.

"Could this be a Soul-Nurturing Tree?"

His master once said that a

Soul-Nurturing Tree could calm the mind and nurture the soul. It was even capable of repairing damaged nascent souls and primordial souls. When it came to the ranking of heavenly materials and earthly treasures, the Soul-Nurturing Tree would be up there.

Should he dig up this sapling? Would it die if he transplanted it? What was the medicinal efficacy of an immature Soul-Nurturing Tree sapling?

Nash hesitated as he stared at the sapling. After a fierce internal struggle, he decided to dig it up. As he was bent over, digging, he suddenly heard a rustling sound behind him.

Nash's muscles tensed, and he leaped forward like a frog. However, it was too late as a venomous snake with alternating black and white bands had bit into his thigh.

He gasped in pain. Grabbing the

snake by its Reck, he smashed it

against a nearby tree. Then, he quickly pressed several acupoints around the bite. Immediately after, dizziness overwhelmed him, The plants and trees around him blurred and doubled in his vision

Before losing consciousness, he saw Lana hurrying over with a stick supporting her. "Mr. Calcraft!"Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
