My Substitute CEO Bride

Chapter 2260

Nash accepted the platter, and Clint quickly expressed his thanks.

With Hera standing nearby, the two of them felt uncomfortable continuing their discussion. However, Hera seemed to have no intention of leaving. They switched their conversation to lighter topics.

"By the way, Nash, why didn't you hold a celebration for our child's birth?" Hera asked.

Nash thought for a moment and replied, "I didn't see the need for a grand celebration. We can just have a gathering with some friends. There's no need to make it too elaborate."

Hera agreed with his reasoning.

"Having a few good friends around is enough. There's no need to involve people we don't have much contact with," she said.

Clint nodded. "That makes sense."

The three of them chatted casually, with no particular topic in mind. Feeling the awkwardness in the air, Clint said he would go for a stroll. The couple had grown somewhat lacking in romantic sensibility in their own home.noveldrama

As he walked down the street, Clint noticed the distinct differences in street styles between the Northern and Southern Territories. Curious, he wandered back and forth.

Although Clint had his matters to attend to concerning his sister and father, he found himself restless recently. He decided to take the opportunity to explore the area and clear his mind. Suddenly, his phone rang with a call from Rainie. "What's wrong, honey? What?! My sister is awake?! I'll be right back!"

Back in Gorgeous Country, it was now night, and everyone had once again gathered at the farm. This time, however, Dahlia and Helio were not present.

With a dejected look, Puelo stared at the people in front of him. He then wiped his face and asked, "Does anyone know where Helio went?"

Everyone shook their heads.

Dahlia went missing yesterday

morning, and Helio had reported this matter to Fabian. As expected, Fabian commanded them to continge the mission. The others had no choice but to comply, but now, even Helio had gone missing.

The group looked at each other; none of them seemed to be aware of Helio's whereabouts. With two people now missing, Puelo had no choice but to call Fabian.

"What's the matter?" Fabian asked.

"Helio has also gone missing," Puelo said.

"Just continue with the mission," Fabian replied coldly.

Puelo wanted to say more, but Fabian had already hung up the phone, leaving Puelo momentarily at a loss.

At this moment, Mallory stood up to offer some comfort. "From what I know about Helio and Dahlia, they definitely won't just kick the bucket like that without a trace. They must still be alive."

Hearing this, Puelo looked up. "Really?"

Mallory nodded.

Lillia then said with a serious tone, "They're fine, don't worry. Even though he usually seems carefree, Helio is very reliable when he gets serious. The reason he told you whatever he did was to make sure we wouldn't forget our mission. I think he went off on his own to rescue Dahlia."

Sterling suddenly stood up in excitement.

"Are you saying that he went into the shadows alone?!"

Lillia nodded.

"That kid, he's much too kind, so he must've gone to save Dahlia. The reason he didn't tell us was because he wasn't sure if he could make it back safely. Mr. Hughes definitely knows this as well. So, regardless, we must continue with the mission...

"Sacrifice... We've experienced it countless times... So, it's alright. Let's continue

with the mission. We shouldn't allow their sacrifices to be in vain."

Lillia stopped there, unable to continue. How could she not worry about their

safety? However, if they were to give up on the mission now, they would not be able to save the two of them at all.
