Chapter 2265
Nash felt a bit overwhelmed. Although he was familiar with the people in the room, the fact that Landon, a respected elder of the state capital, was speaking to him in such a humble manner made him feel somewhat at a loss.
"Sir Landon, please feel free to say whatever you need," Nash replied.noveldrama
Hearing Nash's willingness to help, Elias' furrowed brows relaxed slightly. He continued, "Actually, during the last major crisis, Universal Group reached out to us, and we made an agreement."
"An agreement?" Nash was surprised. Even he had not noticed that the Church of the Netherworld had been on the move, so how had Universal Group detected it so early?
Elias then pulled out a document. "This is the agreement. Take a look."
Nash took the document and read through it. Rather than an agreement, it was more like a form of insurance. According to the agreement, Universal Group would assist Drakonia in times of crisis, but not for free.
Once the crisis was resolved, the elders of the state capital were obligated to support a proposal put forward by the Universal Group. This support was limited to a single instance and had to adhere to two conditions-it could not interfere with the normal lives of Drakonians, and it had to comply with all relevant regulations.
At the time of signing, the agreement had already been thoroughly reviewed and approved by multiple parties. The consensus had been that the so-called crisis mentioned by Universal Group would not occur anytime soon. Hence, they agreed to the terms.
They knew that with the two conditions in place, Universal Group would not be able to make any overly outrageous demands. It was why they had consented to the agreement.
However, no one had anticipated the crisis to arrive so suddenly. Now, it was time to fulfill their promise.
Elias continued, "But Fabian's proposal is something you'll need to review personally."
Nash took the proposal from Elias, who said, "Nash, if you think there's an issue with the proposal, we can discuss it further."
Nash looked over the proposal carefully and then nodded. "I have no issues with it," he said, handing the proposal back to Elias.
The proposal had just one line "Nash Calcraft must cooperate with Universal Group's operations unconditionally for one month."
Nash then added, "But it must adhere to the stipulations laid out."
Fabian nodded. "Of course."
With that, both sides reached an agreement, and Nash was temporarily assigned to Universal Group.
However, he had intimate
knowledge of the group and
Fabian's nature. Anyone could become an ally to them as long as their interests aligned. The reason Nash @greed so readily was that he knew he had value to them, and with the stipulations in place, their operations would certainly not take place on Drakonian soil.
Not surprisingly, Nash received a plane ticket from Fabian the next day that would take him to Gorgeous Country. He understood then what their intention was.
Having participated in similar
operations before, Nash knew that this was likely a conflict of interest、 between Universal Group and BrightState Enterprise in Gorgeous Country. His role was to be the
weapon sent to destroy BrightState and their backers, the Illuminion.
Onboard Fabian's private jet, Nash reviewed the mission briefing.
"So, you're saying your people have already infiltrated the company, but three
have gone missing, correct?" Nash asked.
Fabian nodded. "That's correct. We have similar intelligence to yours? We know that this company rose rapidly, with the Illuminion backing them But what we need now is a guarantee."
Nash understood what he was implying. They wanted him to serve as their
enforcer since he was one of the top fighters in Drakonia.
What do you think?
