Alfred said calmly, "I can handle this alone. There's no need to involve Cedric."

Why would he need Alfred's help to teach Justin a lesson? It would be like using an axe to cut a watermelon.

Xenia remarked, "You? I think you're not powerful enough. Wasn't Alfred filled with bravado? Why is he hiding away now?"

"Shut up," Justin said. He added, "Why are you taking that tone with him?"

Xenia felt sad. "What's wrong with what I said, Justin?"

Alfred smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes. He said to Justin, "Ask her to leave. We'll discuss this among ourselves."

Alfred walked over, pulled out a chair and sat down. "You really know how to have a good time, don't you?"

"The man in the club sounded like you but I thought I'd recognized the wrong person. Why didn't you take your mask off there?"

"This has nothing to do with you. You deserved to get hurt. Don't drag others into this, alright?"

Justin was confused. "Is the doctor your friend?"

If not, why would Alfred come to settle this at the hospital himself?

"Yes. Do you know what needs to be done now?"

"But he broke my bones. You don't care about me, Alfred. Who's that doctor? How has he managed to send you to talk to me?"

Alfred wished Justin would just take the hint. "You better stay unaware. As long as you don't make a big deal out of this, I'll talk to your mom about your grades."

Noelle got out of the car as soon as it stopped in front of the hospital.
