No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Chapter 164

Alfred had told Justin not to disclose too much information to the Liddells, so he couldn't tell the truth.

Xenia looked rather displeased. If Lucas hadn't been present, she would've continued egging Justin on to take legal action against them.

She could only say, "Justin, thank you for doing this for me. The Liddell family is grateful for what you've done."

Lucas sighed in relief. All was well now that Justin wasn't going to sue them for it.

Noelle found this unbelievable. Was Justin really not going to take legal action against them? Something felt a little off but she couldn't put her finger on what was wrong.

Frank walked over and said, "Thank you, Mr. Parson. Our apologies for causing so much trouble. Don't worry, we'll pay for all the medical fees. Xenia will also take care of you until you recover."

Justin coughed and replied, "It would be inappropriate to make too big a deal of this. After all, it's all for Xenia.

He had glazed over the main issue now, right?

Although Xenia felt a little frustrated that he had given up, she was flattered by how much Justin was doing for her.

Xenia turned to Noelle and said, "Although he'll let this go, Justin has been badly wounded. Shouldn't you apologize?"

Lucas nodded. "Indeed, an apology is in order. Come here, Noelle."

Frank frowned and said, "The school doctor is here as well. Tell him to apologize."

Why was Noelle the one to apologize?

Justin immediately shook his hands and said, "T-there's no need for apologies. These are just unnecessary courtesies."

Alfred probably hadn't left yet.

He'd stood up for Cedric and Justin had promised him not to continue finding fault in Cedric for this issue. If Alfred and Cedric came, he would probably be the one apologizing!

Frank said, "Mr. Parson, you've been wounded. An apology is well deserved."

"No, no, no. I'm not hung up on stuff like this. It's all water under the bridge now. Please, let's all not bring this up again, alright?"noveldrama

Justin was terrified of Alfred and didn't want to see him.

Noelle was not the only one who found this weird. Even the other Liddells hadn't expected the conflict to be resolved so easily. It was a little weird!

Xenia said happily, "Thank you for being so generous because of me., Justin. I'm touched. Frank, since Justin has decided not to take action, we'll let this go."

Justin said hurriedly, "I would like to rest now. Please leave."

He wanted to be alone.

Everyone left.

Noelle's intense worry receded. Justin hadn't acted like he did in the rumors about him.

Xenia said purposely, "Noelle, go and tell that school doctor not to be so impulsive in the future. Not everyone is as magnanimous as Justin."

Frank nodded and said, "Xenia, I knew that you were mature and obedient. Thank you."

Lucas turned to Noelle and said, "Stop running around with Cedric and move back home. We won't treat you like we used to. Stop holding a grudge, alright?" Noelle chuckled coldly.

She looked at Lucas and said, "Stop daydreaming. I've got nothing to do with you all. Don't try to control me."

Lucas was about to pop a fuse. Frank immediately held him back and said, "Noelle, let this go. You've gotten excellent grades this time We're planning to host a huge celebratory gala for you. If you've got any ideas or requests, tell me and I'll make it happen."

Xenia fiddled with her fingers, jealousy brewing inside her. She wouldn't let Noelle gloat over her. What scholar? She definitely worked with the headmaster to cheat.

им

Noelle glared at Frank. He felt his heart sink into his stomach.

She backed away from him and said, "A celebratory gala for me? What made you think you could do that? Was it when you made things difficult for me and forced me to game with you, slowing down my academic progress?"

"Noelle, you're being too harsh."

"I've got harsher words to say. Who are you to throw a celebratory gala for me?"

Frank replied loudly, "I'm your brother."

"Not anymore."
