Obsessive CEO’s Sinful Wife

Chapter 72

Chapter 72

In fact, when that woman had leaned in closer to him, Jackson even felt a sense of disgust.

Holding another woman compared to holding a certain someone really did feel completely different.

When he arrived at the front of the rental house, he crouched down to retrieve the spare key from under the doormat. Serenity always liked to keep it there, saying that she wouldn’t be locked out if she forgot her key. Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

When he opened the door, the light in the room was still on. A slender figure was sitting by the table, and her head was tilted slightly as she slept..

Jackson studied her sleeping face under the light, her expression as serene as a quiet night. It felt as if his heart had also found peace when he saw her.

He raised his hand to gently brush a strand of stray hair from her cheek. It felt as if even if he looked at her for a lifetime, he would never grow tired of it.

After a few moments, he bent down and carefully lifted her from the chair.

Even though he had been careful in his motions, Serenity was still startled awake.

“Jack..” she murmured, and her eyes fluttered open as she blinked dazedly.

“Yeah, I’m back,” Jackson replied. “I’ll carry you to bed. You can go back to sleep.”

As he said that, he walked toward the bed.

Serenity leaned her head against his chest and muttered, “You smell… really good. It smells like… perfume? Where did you go?

“I had something to do today, so I went to a bar. It’s probably where the scent came from,” Jackson replied as he placed her gently on the bed. “Now, be a good girl and sleep. I’ll wash off this smell.”

After hearing his response, Serenity’s eyes slowly slid close again.

Jackson made sure the blankets were tucked around her properly before he grabbed a change of clothes and headed to the bathroom.

He stood under the water and let it wash away the scent on his body. The scent of this perfume must have been from the woman at the club earlier.

The smell of an expensive perfume couldn’t compare to the scent of the soap in his hands because… it wasn’t the same smell

as hers.

It was as if Serenity’s fragrance had been imbued in his body.

Once Jackson had finished his shower, he walked out of the bathroom and looked at the woman asleep in bed.

Bending down slightly, he brought his face closer to her and took a whiff of her scent.

“Serenity, tell me, when should I let you know who I really am? Should I wait until you’re completely reliant on me and can’t leave me anymore, so you’ll stay by my side even if you knew?” Jackson murmured softly.

In the small room, the only thing that could be heard were the sounds of their breathing and their heartbeats.
