Chapter 97 Pick out clothes
Chapter 97 Pick out clothes
“Not this one. It makes me look elder. And not this one either. It’s quite childish. Ah! What-what should I
wear?” said Blanca to herself. She had tried all her clothes on, but every item of clothing was not
suitable for her debut in the work world at all. She was so excited to start work tomorrow, but the only
drawback was she had too few clothes. The contents of the suitcase were all she had.
Right now, Blanca put the suitcase on the bed. She took all her clothes out and stacked them on the
bed. The soft bed was totally out of order but Blanca ignored it, for she was very agitated at the thought
of her first day of work.
When Matthew finished his morning run and reentered his stateroom, he saw the room was messy and
his wife, in her cartoon pajamas, was scratching her messy hair. Matthew’s expression darkened
instantly to see this. He was a neat freak. So, the untidy bed almost drove him crazy. He strode
towards Blanca and pulled her off the bed.
“What are you doing? Look at this mess!” he said loudly.
Before Blanca could react, she had fell to the floor. It was only then that Blanca realized what she had
done. Her clothes were all over the bed. The sheets were crumpled and two pillows were on the
ground. She was surprised that she had so many clothes but all of them did not seem right for such a
day. She was deep in thought and didn’t even notice Matthew.
Matthew noticed the swift changes of expression in Blanca’s face. After a few moments, she still paid
no attention to him. Matthew seemed a little upset. As the toast of Oakshire, he was always surrounded
by yes men and was used to attracting attention.
“I’m talking to you, Blanca,” said Matthew coldly.
Blanca got a shock and appeared to come to life again. At this point, she had an idea. She raised her
head and looked gently at the man in front of her. “Are you busy today?” asked Blanca, attempting an
ingratiating smile. Tomorrow, her first day of work, was an important day for her. She was so excited
and anxious that she had begun to pick a piece of suitable clothes since daybreak.
Matthew frowned and didn’t know what she wanted. “Today is weekend. I’m not busy,” he answered
truthfully.
“Great! Let’s go shopping!” said Blanca excitedly. She had to buy a new suit for her first day at work. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
“You have my card.” Apparently, Matthew had no interest in Blanca’s proposal.
Blanca took a deep breath, and resisted the temptation to punch him. She managed a big smile and
said, “You’re my husband, Matthew. If I was captured by media while I am shopping alone, you know,
sometimes they stretch the truth, or exaggerate. I think it will have a negative impact on you, Am I
right?”
“What do you mean? You want me to spend more time with you? Why not just say that?” He looked
down at Blanca and took his towel off his neck.
“No, I don’t think so!” Blanca retorted.
“Really?” Matthew said. Something like a grin flitted across his face. “I can go with you, but…”
“But what?” Blanca asked, bewildered. Then she seemed to have guessed his intention and clasped
her arms tightly to her breast.
“Take it easy. I am not interested in your small boobs,” said Matthew contemptuously.
Suddenly Blanca blushed, “Shut up!” she shouted and put all her clothes into the suitcase.
Matthew followed her with his eyes and furrowed his brow in thought.
