Chapter 57 Not Take Good Care of Yourself

The sky is so gloomy that no star can be seen. It seems that a storm is coming. Nina Morrison sits

alone under the dusk street lamp. Her tears flow down her face like floods. Her grievances and sorrows

grow stronger and stronger.

Nina Morrison sits there. The walls of the swimming pool reflect a dim light. The light shines on her thin

shoulders.

“Don’t cry.” A voice sounds in the silent night.

Nina Morrison is still sitting on the ground sobbing. After a while she responds. She turns her head and

sees Lucien Gray reflected on the water.

He comes quietly to the swimming pool. He looks down at her. His expression cannot be seen in the

darkness. His voice is faint.

Nina Morrison’s grievances erupt. “Get out of here! Leave me alone! Don’t pretend to be a good man!”

Nina Morrison wipes tears from her face. She cries out loud.

Lucien Gray frowns. He walks over and pulls Nina Morrison off the ground. “What are you crazy

about?”

He finds that her body is not right. He strokes her forehead again. Her forehead is hot and there are

tears on her face. Lucien Gray is nervous. “Damn! You’re having a fever!”

He picks up Nina Morrison and goes inside. He ignores Nina Morrison’s kicking and screaming.

“Be good!” Lucien Gray’s voice is impatient. But the strength in his hands is much lighter. Nina Morrison

is a little confused. She ignores Lucien Gray’s comfort and still cries, “Get away! Don’t touch me. Get

out of here!”

Lucien Gray holds her thin body in one arm and her legs in the other. He lowers his voice in her ear

and says, “If you move again, I’ll throw you into the swimming pool and let the baby in your belly die

with you!”

The cruel words sober Nina Morrison. The baby can’t have an accident. She must protect the baby.

Nina Morrison is so frightened that she hugs her belly tightly. Lucien Gray still carries her into the

bedroom.

Lucien Gray carefully lays Nina Morrison flat on the bed. He takes the feather pillow to find her the

most comfortable position and then takes out the thermometer and stuffs it under Nina Morrison’s Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.

armpit. Nina Morrison’s pale face becomes red. Her forehead is hot.

Lucien Gray frowns. He looks worse than Nina Morrison. “You are such a fool! After you clean the

swimming pool, you have a fever. I have never seen such a silly woman as you!”

Nina Morrison is powerless and does not want to quarrel with him. She does not resist any of Lucien

Gray’s actions. During the few minutes of temperature measurement, Lucien Gray suddenly leans over

Nina Morrison’s face and looks at her carefully. He doesn’t seem to know her.

His eyes are serious. He doesn’t seem to have seen Nina Morrison clearly.

“What are you doing?” Nina Morrison is horrified by his eyes and struggles to get up.

“You’re still cute if you don’t talk.” Lucien Gray pushes Nina Morrison down on the pillow. He roughly

pulls out the thermometer from Nina Morrison’s armpit.

“Be gentle! I am a patient! I’m still pregnant!” Nina Morrison feels dizzy.

“Are you a patient? Because you are too foolish to take care of yourself! Are you pregnant? The baby

in your stomach is not mine!” Lucien Gray says coldly. He doesn’t look at Nina Morrison and just looks

at the thermometer.
