Chapter311 A Child Psychiatrist

Chapter311 A Child Psychiatrist

In the box of an exquisite Japanese-style restaurant, there was a woman wearing a light blue sweater. She had been waiting for someone for some time. NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.

When the waiter opened the door, the smile froze on Hayden’s lips.

“This is Pola Baker.” Joseph introduced the woman to Hayden and then looked at Pola, “This is my fiancée, Hayden.”

Pola got off the tatami mats and smiled at Hayden, “Hello.”

Hayden forced a smile, “Hello.”

Joseph did not notice Hayden’s expression and made her sit down.

Hayden stared at Pola. Although Hayden came across Pola in the mall last night, she did not see Pola clearly until they met each other officially this time.

Pola was pretty, with her long hair swept back in a ponytail. Her sweater was decorated with a pattern of small strawberries. She looked at Hayden and smiled shily, “I’ve been told by Mr. Beckham that you are gorgeous. That’s true. And I’m enchanted.”

Hayden didn’t fall for Pola’s flattery. She disliked it, so she stared at Pola quietly, waiting to see what they were going to say.

Pola and Joseph felt embarrassed by the silence. Then Joseph said, “Pola is a child psychologist, so I want to consult her about Noah‘s problem.”

Hayden gripped her clothes with her fingers under the table, “A psychologist? Haven’t you mentioned that it’s a German psychologist? Miss Pola, are you from Germany?”

Both Joseph and Pola were shocked at Hayden’s hostile questions.

Thinking for a while, Joseph seemed to figure out why Hayden became aggressive suddenly and frowned slightly.

“Miss Pola, have you met Noah? How does he feel?” Hayden broke the silence.

Pola seemed to breathed a sigh of relief, “Not yet. I’ve just talked about him with Mr. Beckham. Mr. Beckham said you are the one who spends more time with Noah, so I want to know more about Noah by asking you.”

Because of Noah’s psychological problem, Hayden had contacted other psychiatrists a lot. She asked Pola several question and found that Pola seemed to be a professional in child psychology indeed.

Hayden wondered whether she thought it wrong.

Alayna told Hayden that Joseph was contacting Noah’s “biological mother”, but she didn’t mention who the “biological mother” was. Maybe she made a mistake for regarding Pola as the fake biological mother because she saw that Joseph was together with Pola last night.

“Noah’s psychological problem seems to have nothing to do with his physiological problem in his childhood. In fact, it’s possibly because Noah has been intimated by someone. I’m sure you’ve heard that some babysitters may abuse the children. We all believe that children don’t have their own thoughts. But that’s wrong.”

Talking about the child psychiatry, Pola was serious, “A baby is just like a white paper which allows others to add color to it. It can be colorful, black, or any other color. Noah has autism mostly because he has been intimated by someone and he is not allowed to tell on.

She was right.

Hayden clenched her fists. What she said was similar to the conclusion drawn by Hayden and Stefan after the investigation.

Viola was able to enter the Beckhams' Mansion easily at that time. Theresa, the nanny of Noah once said that she often saw Viola to visit Noah in the yard. Oddly, little Noah, who didn’t listen to anyone’s words, would be quiet every time when Viola was there.

The Beckham family thought Viola was able to babysit Noah well. That was the reason why Harrison allowed her to come to the Mansion.

Later on, when Hayden talked about this with Stefan, she was aghast.

Nobody ever believed that Viola would dare to threaten Noah, the little master of the Beckham family. After all, she was only a star who was not so famous back then. But what if she did dare to take the risk?

And now the truth showed that Viola was the one who frightened Noah. Moreover, she had been covered for by someone.

“What solution have you got?” Hayden looked at Pola which she was no more hostile to.

“Take it slowly. Try not to let him take medicine. If you know what happened to him and you dare to take the risk, you may consider to simulate the situation again. That would help to make Noah less fearful.”

“Simulate the situation?” Hayden mused, “Is it really helpful?”

“There are some statistics to support this. And it’s better for the younger children.”

Joseph frowned with guilt, “But no one knows what happened back then.”

The box got silent again.

Three years ago, Joseph was not there with Noah. When he took Noah with him, Noah no more talked to anyone.

There was the silence for a long time before Hayden raised her head, “I know.”

Joseph took a set expression in his face and looked at Hayden thoughtfully.

Why would Hayden know while he was unable to figure out?

“Noah told me that.” Hayden lied. She had to belied for Noah, “From some words and the paintings of him, I reckon that he was threatened by someone not to speak.”

Joseph put on a cold face, “Who was it?”

Hayden mused with a deep frown and shook her head.

She was not supposed to know much about this, otherwise, she would be suspectable. Others would wonder why she knew so much about the Beckham family.

“It is reasonable to have such conjecture before we know more information.” Pola continued this conversation, “It’s not difficult to simulate the situation. It’s all up to you.”

Joseph and Hayden looked into each other’s eyes for a second.

Hayden was not sure whether Pola was reliable or not, so she hesitated, “We will take this into consideration.”

“OK.” Polaseemed to agree with Hayden.

“Think it through. And you may call me anytime.”

Saying this, she stood up and grabbed her coat and handbag, “I have to leave now. Enjoy your diner.”

“Why don’t you have dinner with us? They may serve the dishes very soon.” Hayden was surprised.

“No,” Pola forced a wry smile, “I need to go to the hospital. The nurse will be on duty until eight p.m. and I have to relieve her.”

Hayden did not know how to respond when Pola mentioned the hospital and the nurse.

After Pola left, Hayden looked at Joseph.

“Why does she go to the hospital?”

“Her husband has got the advanced gastric cancer. There are six months left for him. Although they do not plan to have the surgery, her husband still needs to stay in the hospital.”

Joseph explained briefly, “Pola has to come over to attend him every night.”

Hayden felt sorry about her attitude, and she did not notice the complicated expression on Joseph’s face. He seemed to want to say something.
