Chapter 29 I'll Take Care of you
Chapter 29 I'll Take Care of you
“William, Anna, this is the restaurant recommended highly by Betty Wong. She said that some dishes
are very delicious. Let’s try together. If it is good, we can gather there in the future. The environment
here is really good.” A charming and pleasing voice came.
Angel clung to her hand, and the sharp spines of the shrimp's head pierced her fingertips.
A drop of blood appeared.
“What's the matter?” Moving faster than his voice, Jason grabbed Angel's hand and pulled out a wet
tissue to wipe the juice off her fingers, along with the blood.
Angel withdrew her hand, put the finger in her mouth and sucked it. “It's all right, it's all right.”
Jason was stunned.
Did every girl react and act like this when her finger was pricked?
Why did she act like Belle?
Angel had looked behind Jason.
William, Anna and Laura.
What a coincidence!
“Angel?” Anna came over in surprise.
“Fancy meeting you here.” Anna’s voice was soft. Even if you don't look at her face, only this charming
voice would catch a lot of attention.
Angel stood up. “Hello, Miss Anna.”
Anna showed a sad expression on her face and sighed softly, “Angel, I heard from Alexia that you were
hurt, so you don’t remember anything in the past, but it doesn't matter. We can build up our relationship
again. You are my sister's best friend, and from now on, you can call me “Sister” like her.”
The she said with a soft smile. “What nonsense! If I were at school, I would have called you Miss
Angel.”
She covered her lips slightly and smiled at Angel.
Angel could not help but think she was gentle and sensible.
Her eyes fell on Jason.
Anna was surprised to see him, “Jason? What are you doing here?”
Jason stood up and said lightly, “Anna, William, Laura.”
William came forward and said with a smile, “Jason? What a surprise to meet you here! I heard it has
to make an appointment half a month in advance to see you. We're in luck today.”
His eyes flitted over Angel, recognizing her as Professor Jordan's student, the eldest Miss Duncan.
Thinking she was only a rich daughter, he did not pay much attention to her.
But it was rare to meet Jason, so he could not waste this opportunity.
Jason’s tone was insipid, “What is it?”
William immediately said, “I heard that you bought the land in the eastern suburbs. My father told me
that I must make clear the general plan of your family and see if there is any opportunity for
cooperation. I made an appointment with you for several times, but was blocked by your secretary.”
“Well, come straight to me tomorrow afternoon, and I'll tell the secretary.” Jason said.
“Great!” William did not expect that.
Jason’s attitude had never changed.
He glanced at their table. “Why don't we eat together?”
He smiled to Jason and the two beauties.
Anna and Laura fixed their eyes on Jason.
While Jason only looked at Angel nobody noticed.
Angel smiled delicately, “Jason, I finish, I have something else to do, so I am leaving.”
“I'll send you.” Jason said without hesitation.
Angel shook his head. “No need, I'll just get a cab myself.”
Jason said to William politely, “William, see you tomorrow.”
He gave Anna and Laura only a slight nod, then motioned to Angel, “Let's go.”
“We are Professor Jordan's students,” Jason said faintly.
“Oh, then Jason is your senior, Anna. You are Professor Jordan's student.” Laura giggled.
Jason and Angel did not speak but walked out.
Angel didn't say hello to any of them.
Laura stopped her smile in embarrassment, “Did I say anything wrong?”
Anna looked at the back of two people and said nothing.
Back in the car, Angel fastened her seat belt and asked Jason, “Will it be a bad idea to leave like this?”
Jason started the car, “We can talk about business in the company. We have no personal contact.”
Angel was surprised.
She asked, “Anna studied abroad too. Wasn’t she with you?”
Kwon gave her a strange look and shook his head. “I don't know when or where she studied abroad.
We have known each other since childhood, but we are not close friends.”
Angel looked at Jason’s side face, feeling pleased.
Stopping the car at a red light, Jason suddenly turned his head sideways and asked, “Angel, have you
ever lost your memory?”
Angel was shocked. Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.
This was the first time Jason said so.
Angel looked out the window and said faintly, “Selective amnesia. I only remember the people I want to
remember, as for the ones that don't matter -- I don't have enough memory.”
Jason was silent.
Angel spotted their car on the curb and pulled over.
She looked at Jason in surprise.
Jason parked the car, with his hands on the steering wheel, looking ahead. After being silent for a
moment, he turned to look at Angel.
Jason cleared his throat and said, “Angel, Anna and I are not familiar, but I once promised to Belle that
when she grew up, I will marry her.”
Angel was pleased to hear that.
“Unfortunately, she died. I was forced to leave, and when I regained my freedom, she was long gone.”
Jason turned look at the other side of the window, trying to calm himself down.
Angel looked after him without moving.
She could not move, she could not think, her heart was beating fast, and her fingers were trembling.
Looking at Angel again, he had calmed down and said slowly, “I don't even know what happened. She
was gone as if she had never been in this world.”
“All I can do now is look for traces of her. If you don't remember her, that's fine. I just want to do
something for her. She chose to take care of you, and now she's gone, so let me take care of you.”
Jason had never had such a long sentence.
He had been a silent man since childhood.
Except for the time he promised Belle, he had never said such a long sentence.
Big tears rolled down Angel's face and she wiped them away.
Tissue was handed over.
Angel pressed the tissue to her eyes and looked away.
Jason did not disturb her, looking at her slightly trembling shoulders. He understood that Angel did not
forget Belle, she just used her own way to remember Belle.
Angel turned her face back to him with a tearful smile. “Can I come and see you more often?”
Jason nod, “Yes, I gave you my private number. You can call me.”
Angel's tears fell again, but she nodded with a smile. “Can I call you at any time?”
Jason nodded with a smile, “Yes.”
His tone was gentle.
And Angel was happy.
It didn't matter what had happened.
The point was, she was dead, and he remembered the promise.
That was enough!
If he wanted to know, she would tell him.
But now she didn't want to say a word.
She would take care of it
Her mind flashed Anna’s eyes looking at Jason.
She had never wanted to give up! Even now, her boyfriend was William, but she still wanted to be with
Jason.
William was like a fool.
No, Belle was the fool. She got cheated and killed.
Laura should be the person knew about everyone!
Interesting!
Things would turn full circle.
She would wait and see everyone’s fate!
At weekend, at the request of Clayton, Angel would return to Duncan’s for one night.
Alexia was on a business trip and could not come back.
She called Angel and asked her not to go back on her own. She was worried.
Angel didn't care. She was a Duncan. The would not kill her.
She would go back to the Duncan family sooner or later.
Alexia had to send the driver to take her back to the Duncan’s.
Angel never rejected arrangement of her aunts and brothers.
Because she knew it was the only way to reassure them.
To be loved and to be protected were happy things. Some people didn’t have it, like Belle.
Tommy drove with her to the Duncan’s.
As it turned out her aunt was wise.
Because Alexia was strong, her driver was respected by the families, so if he took Angel home, Angel
would be safe.
Angel thought if she came alone, she would be ignored by the servants.
Angel met Leo in the living room, who had just come back from the outside.
Just at a glance, she was stunned.
Leo wore a black jacket and a black cap.
Angel blinked.
She rubbed her eyes to make sure she didn't have illusion.
Angel almost choked on her own spit.
Angel could not help but think if the “Young Master Duncan” was like this.
He looked like a hood.
She forced herself to resist the urge to cover her face.
She could not stand it.
