Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 44

On the next morning, Nydia woke up early and made Salad Nicoise, and also squeezed two cups of grape juice.

Molly looked at the braised noodles with some confusion, then looked at Nydia and then back at the noodles.

“What’s wrong? Didn’t you want to eat this last night? Why aren’t you eating it now?”

“Mommy, I think I dreamt about this Salad Nicoise last night. It smelled so good in my dream, but I couldn’t taste it. In my dream, you said you would make it for me in the morning. I can’t believe it’s actually here. Mommy, you’re amazing! You even knew what I dreamt about!”

“Oh, really? That’s great, Molly. Try it and see if it’s good.”

Nydia struggled to hold back her laughter, and even Jesse couldn’t help but smile. This little girl thought it was a dream. Does she remember she was supposed to scold him about something?Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

Tavish, on the other hand, looked confused. What’s going on? Why does the atmosphere feel strange?

After breakfast and sending the two children to school, Nydia and Jesse set out to find Marty’s accomplices.

Marty was very cooperative and took the initiative to call the person out, saying that it was dangerous now and that they needed to run away together. The person didn’t suspect anything and packed up and came to find Marty.

But when he saw Jesse and Nydia, he turned and ran, but he was already surrounded.

“Marty, you betrayed me!” He glared at Marty angrily.

“Brother, I had no choice.” Marty was helpless. If he didn’t betray his brother, then he would have to bear all the consequences alone, and he couldn’t handle it.

After they caught the two of them, everything became clear.

When they returned home, they called Tavish to the study.

“Tavish, we’ve investigated the matter about you falling into the water.” Jesse spoke up. It seemed more impartial for him to explain the situation.

Tavish didn’t say anything, just looked at the two of them.

“It wasn’t your mommy who did it. It was someone else. When your mommy jumped in to save you, she was caught by someone and couldn’t struggle. She almost drowned.” Jesse stated the facts. Although he still didn’t fully believe Nydia, he had to speak the truth about what happened.

After listening to Jesse’s words, Tavish looked at Nydia and pursed his small mouth. “Did you really jump down to save me?”

“Yes, I jumped down as soon as I saw you in trouble.”

“Well, I know now. I misunderstood you. I’m sorry!” Upon hearing the little guy’s apology, Nydia felt a sourness in her heart, and she squatted down and touched Tavish’s head.

“It was mommy’s fault before that caused you to misunderstand. It won’t happen again. Can we make peace and shake hands?” Nydia reached out her hand, but Tavish did not respond immediately. He hesitated for a while. However, Nydia was very patient and just kept her hand out.

Finally, Tavish put his small hand in Nydia’s palm, and Nydia held it. “Tavish is man with a lot of strength.”

He smiled shyly, his cheeks slightly blushing. It turned out that being held by mommy’s hand was so warm, and mommy’s hand was so soft.

After the mother and son reconciled, Jesse asked Tavish to leave first because he had something to discuss with Nydia.

“Marty said that Willette was behind the scenes, what do you plan to do?” Jesse asked.

“My idea is not to go after Willette for now, because she is very likely to turn around and accuse me of asking her to do it.”

Nydia knew Willette too well. In this situation, Willette would definitely shift the blame.

“How do I know you didn’t ask her to do it?”

Jesse’s words stunned Nydia, and her face instantly became unpleasant.

“If you don’t trust me, you can suspect me no matter what I do. I don’t plan to explain anything.” Her tone was a bit aggressive, obviously angry.

“What? You get mad after just a few questions? That’s a sign of guilt.”

When Jesse said this, his face was calm, making it impossible to guess what he was thinking.
