Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 93

Jesse remained silent.

“Daddy, do you still hate mommy?” Tavish asked after pursing his lips. He was still somewhat afraid of Jesse, but mustered the courage to ask.

“What about you? Do you still hate her?”

Tavish shook his head. “I don’t hate her anymore. She seems… to be nice to me now.”

Hearing Tavish say this and looking at his expression, Jesse felt a pang in his heart. He also remembered Tavish’s sleep-talking, always asking in a small voice, “Why doesn’t mommy like me? Does mommy like me or not? Mommy, what did I do wrong? Can you tell me so I can fix it? Mommy, please don’t hate me.”

But in front of others, Tavish was always stubbornly silent.

Thinking of all this, Jesse felt a surge of anger.

“Daddy, can you not divorce mommy?” Tavish’s young voice was cautious.

Meeting those clear, hopeful eyes, Jesse felt a sense of suffocation. He bent down, picked up Tavish and placed him on his lap.

“If mommy doesn’t hurt you anymore, then daddy won’t divorce mommy!” This was his promise to Tavish.

“Thank you, daddy!” Tavish hugged Jesse, and rubbed his small face against his chin. “Then… can daddy try to like mommy?”

Like her? Ha, she would only trample on his liking for her!

“The teacher said that a good child is someone who can correct their mistakes. Children make mistakes, and so do adults. If mommy corrects her mistakes, should we be more forgiving?” Tavish’s voice was small, probing and with a hidden request.

Jesse suppressed the anger in his heart and looked Tavish in the eye. “Then we will give mommy a chance to be monitored in school. That means we will observe her behavior and if she doesn’t make any more mistakes, then we will forgive her, okay?”

“Okay!” Tavish’s voice was clearly excited, his face bursting into a smile. Then he lowered his voice and said, “Daddy, we have to observe quietly. I’ll write down everything in my notebook and report it to you.”

“Well, this task is up to you. I believe Tavish can do it very well. Now go to bed.”

“Goodnight, Daddy.”Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.

After Tavish got off Jesse’s lap, he ran out happily, completely different from when he came in.

Jesse pinched his brow and felt exhausted.

He opened the drawer and saw the medicine inside, which was Clonazepam. He picked it up and looked at the four words on the bottle “Stabilize Your Mood”. He clenched his fingers as he found it increasingly difficult to control his emotions. He needed strong willpower to control them. After a moment of hesitation, he opened the bottle and took a pill.

There were still many pills left in the bottle, it was obvious that he didn’t take them often.

He leaned back in his wheelchair, closed his eyes, and his mind was filled with various images. Suddenly, a thought flashed through his mind: If they hadn’t slept together that night, would they not have the current turmoil and entanglement?

Nydia and Jesse both had insomnia that night.

Nydia woke up very late in the morning, but she didn’t fall asleep until four or five in the morning. As a result, she had two dark circles under her eyes when she appeared in front of others.

She had made plans to have dinner with Willette at 6 pm and told Jesse about it, adding “Come pick me up at home and we’ll go together”.

There was no reply.

She didn’t send any more messages and started to choose her clothes and do her makeup. She looked a bit haggard from lack of sleep, and needed to make herself look better.

After putting on makeup, she used a curling iron to curl her hair, and then chose a black strapless dress and black high heels. Standing in front of the mirror, she was quite satisfied with her appearance.

She didn’t want to look too fancy in front of Willette, and she looked elegant and refined today, which was the best feeling.

Before five o’clock, Jesse came back home.

“I’m back,” Nydia walked over, and suddenly a fragrance floated by. The faint scent of roses was like a freshly picked rose just plucked from the soil, carrying a hint of earthy and leafy fragrance, revealing bit of coldness.

Jesse’s gaze fell on her collarbone. The thin black strap was attached to her collarbone like an irregular cross. The cold black color reflected against her tender skin, revealing a touch of charm, like a suppressed desire that was unintentionally revealed, which caught his eye.

His gaze followed the collarbone up, and as she tilted her head, her long hair fell down like a waterfall, covering one side of her fragrant shoulder, but revealing the other straight and slender shoulder, with the round shoulder connecting to the collarbone like a butterfly ready to take off.

He suddenly thought, what if he tattooed a black butterfly on Nydia’s shoulder, how enchanting it would be.

Suddenly feeling dry in the mouth, a voice in his mind shouted: Kiss her!
