Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 97

How about trying to find an opportunity?

Jesse and Barclay started to drink constantly, and they had both had quite a bit. Willette, on the other hand, seemed lost in thought. If Jesse really couldn’t perform, she wouldn’t be with him. She had to find an opportunity to test Nydia.

“You two have had enough to drink, don’t drink anymore,” Willette didn’t want to bring a drunkard back, she couldn’t carry him.

“Okay, no more drinking. Sorry, Mr. Pascall, my fiancée has spoken. I can’t continue drinking with you,” Barclay reached out to hug Willette. Willette didn’t want to be too intimate in front of Jesse, but she didn’t want to push him away either, so she stiffened her body and didn’t move, letting him hug her.

“Well, it’s getting late.”

Both parties got up and prepared to leave.

Nydia was still wearing Jesse’s coat as she pushed his wheelchair out.

After they arrived at the parking lot, they went their separate ways.

In the car, Barclay asked Willette, “Why did you invite them to dinner today?”Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org

“What’s it to you?” Willette said coldly.

Barclay’s face instantly showed a thin anger, but he suppressed it and went back to hug her shoulder.

He sighed, “I’ve been busy lately and didn’t mean to ignore you. What am I busy for if not for our future life together?”

“But even if I’m busy, I can’t ignore you. I’m sorry, don’t be angry.”

“Do you have another woman?” Willette questioned.

Barclay’s eyes flickered, but Willette didn’t notice the small movement.

“How could I have another woman? I have such a beautiful and outstanding fiancée, why would I go looking for another woman? Am I crazy? Who can compare to you?”

“Is it true?” Willette was no longer as angry when she heard these words, but she still didn’t let go.

“Of course it’s true. Don’t you think so?” Barclay caressed her cheek and looked at her affectionately. His eyes were naturally passionate, and when he looked at Willette like this, her face turned red. She rarely felt shy. “I knew you would say good things to coax me.”

“I’m telling the truth, you’re just that great. We’ve been together for so many years, don’t you understand me?”

“Before…” Willette felt guilty about kissing Jasper.

But Barclay stepped forward and sealed her lips.

“Don’t mention the past. Let’s just focus on our future. I trust you.”

Barclay’s kiss left Willette feeling dizzy and weak.

“You can’t neglect me in the future.”

“Okay, I won’t!”

Barclay continued kissing Willette, leaving her breathless, while the driver kept his eyes on the road.

On the other side of the car, Nydia and Jesse were in a quiet mood.

The two of them sat in the backseat without speaking.

Nydia was still wearing Jesse’s coat and it was actually quite hot in the car, but she didn’t take it off. She stole glances at Jesse and thought about the things he had said earlier.

Jesse smelled of alcohol, having had quite a bit to drink tonight, but he appeared fine and not drunk.

They arrived home in silence and went to their respective rooms.

When Nydia was getting changed, she remembered that she hadn’t returned Jesse’s clothes, so she hurried over.

“I came to return your clothes.” She pushed the door open and walked in, only to see Jesse tearing off his tie with wild movements. His usually cold face was now flushed red.

When his gaze fell on her, it felt like he could burn two holes into her.
