| couldn't take my eyes off Kex, wondering what he was going to say. He looked around the table, and then his gaze landed on me. He gave me a small smile, and my heart fluttered.

“You look like a bride!” she said, her voice full of awe. | laughed, feeling a flush of warmth spread througly me. “Thanks my love,” | said, feeling a little embarrassed by her praise.
