Richest Mogul 1148
Chapter 1148
Joe called Skylar about ten minutes after she left the hospital.
He told her he had something to attend to that evening and wasn’t sure when he would return, so she should go to bed first.
After returning home, she followed her usual routine and took a shower.
Before going to bed, Skylar chatted with Natalie a bit. Property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Natalie had stayed at the hospital for over an hour before taking a cab home. Jeremy had already woken up when she left, although he was very weak. He had fallen back to sleep after saying a few words to them.
Seeing that Jeremy was out of danger, Natalie felt relieved.
After exchanging a few more words with Natalie, Skylar turned off the lights and went to bed, unable to fight her drowsiness.
In her half–asleep, half–awake state, she suddenly found herself in a familiar vision filled with
white mist.
Joe appeared suddenly in the mist. So, she ran toward him. But no matter how loudly she
called his name, he couldn’t hear her.
As she got closer, the swirling mist gradually dispersed.
However, she suddenly saw that Joe’s face was covered in blood. But not just his face–his entire body was soaked in blood.
The white shirt he had been wearing was now entirely stained red.
The sight of the bright red blood struck her like a sharp pain, making her call out frantically,” Joe!”
But Joe, lying there, seemed unable to hear her voice, Then, dense white mist suddenly enveloped him again, completely obscuring him from view.

When she reached the spot where Joe was lying, he had disappeared.
“Joe!”
She suddenly screamed out loud, jerking awake from the terrifying nightmare.
Opening her eyes to the dim room, she felt a drop of cold sweat slide down her forehead.
Skylar was panting heavily. It had just been a nightmare. But…
Why was the dream so vivid? It was just like when Viola had appeared in her dreams.
After a while, she calmed down.
Skylar glanced at the other side of the bed and saw that Joe hadn’t returned yet. So, she turned on the bedside lamp, got out of bed, and picked up her phone before walking out of the bedroom.
She had left a light on in the living room, and the soft yellow glow made the whole house feel warm and cozy.
Then, she poured herself a glass of warm water and took a few slow sips, letting the warmth dispel the lingering chill from her dream.
Skylar gazed out the window. Everything was quiet outside at this hour,
Ever since Viola’s death, she couldn’t shake the vague feeling of unease and dread. But tonight’s dream felt like it was unfolding right before her eyes–as real as it could be.
The sense of urgency and heartache she felt in the dream still lingered, leaving her unsettled.
But it was just a dream, after all.
Maybe she had been thinking too much lately, given everything that had happened, and it had followed her into her sleep.
What happened in dreams couldn’t possibly be real.
She unlocked her phone and saw a message from Joe on WhatsApp.
“There’s an issue with the overseas collaboration. I need to catch a flight immediately to deak with it in person. I’ll be back in three days. Don’t worry, and wait for me.”
The message had been sent about an hour ago. Skylar had already fallen asleep three hours ago.
