Chapter 36
~REX’S POV~
For a little while, I was bewildered. At first, I assumed she would be fearful of Alaric. Lycans are frightening. I was completely oblivious to the fact that something wasn’t quite right. Her jaw gaped open in surprise.
“You… you, Rex…” she screamed as she dashed away.
Just then, I became aware that my body was becoming warm, far too warm for my liking. I had a gut feeling it wasn’t Alaric right then and there. It was Ladon who was responsible for the incident.
Ladon Ladon Ladon why?
“You dare not point the finger at me, Rex; point the finger at Alaric. What exactly happened to you, you moron? Alaric was yelled at by Ladon.
“To put it another way, I was attempting to better myself.”
“What exactly are you trying to, better? What exactly were you attempting to, better? Have you ever come across a dashing Lycan? You have an unattractive appearance. How naïve are you, Alaric?” I snarled.
“Please, no more yelling. I’m making an effort to think.”
“Alaric, what exactly is there to think about? What is there to envisage?”
“That my Reina was unable to meet. She bolted, Rex. What if she is kidnapped?”
~JUNO’S POV~
I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Rex transformed into a dragon, indicating that the golden wings I saw the other day were not a figment of my imagination. He did, in fact, transform into a flying creature. No, I just happened to see claws the other day. He’s supposed to be a wolf, after all. The dragon kept looking at me as I gulped down my fear. I had to take a step back as the dragon stared at me again. I gradually began to retrace my ways. I realized I had no choice but to flee. I took out racing into the woods, far into the forest. It wasn’t pursuing me, but it provided an opportunity for me to run as quickly as possible. The atmosphere abruptly shifted. It had ceased to be sunny. The sky was darkening. A shadow appeared to have absorbed the sunshine filtering through the trees. I had to urge myself to raise my head. Then I noticed it once more: a golden dragon with golden scales. Its legs resemble those of a tree trunk, while its claws like those of a Katana. I was so intent on the dragon that I lost track of time. Suddenly, my body collided with a tree, and I fell to the ground, clutching my ass. I let out a yelp. I took stock of my surroundings and noticed the dragon diving at me.
It was so big that its landing rocked the entire earth, causing my body to quiver on the ground. I remained still on the ground. I simply stared at the dragon, making no sound. Then it shifted. Rex lunged directly at me, scooping me off the ground.
“Let us return home together, my darling.”This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
I made no statement. My final recollection is of him scoping me off the ground, and then everything went black.
~REX’S POV~
Greta!
I screamed. I never imagined Ladon would be the one to emerge. Even though I am aware, I am at a loss for an explanation. I hope she has no recollection of anything when she awakens. I tucked her into bed and took a seat next to her. I’m just hoping she doesn’t reject me. Today is a pleasant day.
Today was meant to be a very nice day for me. She was speaking, and now Ladon and Alaric have ruined my enjoyment of everything. I’m hoping she doesn’t recall anything that transpired. Is she going to lose faith in me? I can’t bring myself to inform her that I contain an abundance of creatures. How is she going to comprehend that? I’m aware that I’m meant to trust her because we’re one, but Reina is not prepared for anything at the moment. I don’t want to put her through any unnecessary stress. I’m hoping she understands when I tell her I’m unable to tell her yet. I’m determined not to lose her. While I was pondering how to convey this to Reina, I received a text message from the man I hired to follow Reina.
“Mr. Wolf, thank you for your time. I’m in possession of certain information regarding your girlfriend.”
Girlfriend? After all, he doesn’t know anything, so I’m not going to condemn him for it. I am aware that he is a wolf. Besides, I smell like a human, so he might think I’m a human.
I responded to the man’s text.
In ten minutes, meet me at the restaurant on 7th Street.
Greta entered as I waited for her to finish the soup, and I fled.
When I reached 7th Street, the gentleman was there waiting for me. He was trembling in my presence, I could tell. It’s something I’m powerless to change. I wish there was anything I could do to stop folks from wanting to submit. However, this is my nature, and there is nothing I can do to change it. I drew a chair to sit on, and the man fixed his gaze on me. I don’t want him to feel awkward.
“You have important information that I need to know about.”
“Y-yes.”
“I am paying attention.”
“Your girlfriend was adopted by…” he paused for a moment. “Do you believe in supernatural beings such as witches and wolves, or do you believe that humans may transform into other creatures?” I made a sneering remark.
“Do you believe I am a human being?” He smiled as he glanced at me.
“Right, so your companion,” When I looked at him again, I couldn’t help but notice that he had altered the term “girlfriend” to “companion.” Man of intelligence. I admire him.
“She had previously been living on the streets. When she was five years old, she was taken in by the Omegas of the Silver Moon pack. Though the pack’s alpha at the time prohibited the omegas from adopting her formally. She stayed with them since they loved her and paid for her schooling. Though she lacked a surname, it is rumored that she acquired her wolf when she turned 18.” The man examined me to determine whether I was reacting, but there was none. He went on to say,
“Because she was human, she was studying alongside humans because the pack members were cruel to her. When she completed her education at the age of 18, she gained her wolf and returned to the pack. She met her mate the day she returned. Alex, the Silver Moon pack’s Alpha.”
The gentleman cleared his throat and fixed his gaze on me. I caught a glimpse of his Adam Apple bobbing. It is claimed that Alpha Alex has been beating her ever since he discovered that she was his mate and that she was unable to shift. Despite the fact that she smelled like wolves. Since the day they met, Alex had been raping her. When Alex discovered that she was pregnant, he immediately took a chosen Luna as his mate, since your companion couldn’t change into her wolf form. According to legend, he used to beat and rape her while she was unconscious. Additionally, he forced her to watch naked while he slept with his selected Luna. They claim he desired to become hard. This pattern continued for an extended period of time. She was then enslaved by the pack. She was responsible for cooking and cleaning the packhouse, as well as being Alex’s sex slave. He was adamant about not rejecting her. She was unable to reject him since she had lost her voice one night while attempting to flee, and Alex had beaten her until she was rendered mute. I have no idea what became of the baby. That is all I have for the time being. I’ve seen Alex reach out several times at school, but when he sees you, he retreats. The university’s fresh students are drawn from his pack. I think they informed him that Juno was a student there, and I’ve also heard that he’s been on the lookout for her for and it’s been over five years. And, once again, I’ve heard she rejected him the day she walked away from the pack. That is all I have for the time being.”
Continue to do excellent work. Many thanks. I departed. It’s upsetting because my Reina was actually pregnant with another man’s child. It hurts, I can’t even pretend. I can’t just sit back and accept it. I’m not sure if that’s even possible. She is the mother of a child by a man who is not me. After much consideration, I have concluded that the lady in my home is not my Reina; if she were, how did she end up pregnant with another man?
