Chapter 151 Miss Kinney, You Can’t Talk Nonsense
Chapter 151 Miss Kinney, You Can’t Talk Nonsense
Piper sneered. "Do you think I'm an idiot? Everyone has heard the truth! Even young Mr. Wright says
that it's you. Why are you still trying to deny it?!"
"There must be some sort of misunderstanding, Piper."
Seeing the way things had developed, Suzanne came up to help Gwenda out.
But Piper would not listen to anything else at the moment. She flung Gwenda's hand away, and spoke
sharply. "Madam, I respect you as my senior. However, I also ask you to be less biased! You can't
possibly condone such behaviours from your granddaughter like this! Everyone saw it, she's the one
who's trying to hurt my grandson! There's nothing left to say in the face of witnesses and real
evidence!"
"How can this be possible..."
Suzanne frowned.
"Why not?!"
Piper gave Gwenda a cold stare. "She just wants to hurt my grandson!"
"Gwenda, what exactly happened?"
Suzanne asked solemnly as she looked at her granddaughter.
Gwenda sucked in a deep breath and wiped away the wetness on her face, replying irritably, "What do
you think happened? Those two boys were fighting over a toy, and I saw that older kid accidentally
push Mrs. Kinney's grandson into the pool, so I jumped in to save him. Who knew that upon saving
him, Mrs. Kinney would run over and say that I'm trying to hurt her grandson?"
"You're lying!"
At this time, the mother of the tall boy, Naomi Wright, née Adams, retorted harshly, "You're truly
shameless, Gwenda Evans. You dare to pin the blame on a child to escape accountability!"
"I'm telling the truth."
Gwenda gave the boy in Naomi's arms a piercing stare.
The boy trembled with fear under Gwenda's gaze.
Seeing this, Naomi said, "Don't you try to scare my son with that look of yours. Everyone heard it. My
son said that you were the one who pushed the child. Don't bother denying it."
"I pushed the child? Do you have the guts to let him repeat that?"
Gwenda asked coldly.
"Why not?"
Naomi tugged on her son gently. "Jimmy, tell them, did she push the child?"
The boy had never faced such a situation before. He was terrified even as he gazed at Gwenda.
"Go on, say it!"
Naomi urged.
Trembling, the boy nodded. "She— she did!"
His words caused an uproar among the crowd.
"Who knew that Gwenda has gotten this deranged? It's quite an eye-opener."
"It has already come to this point. Does Suzanne still want to protect her?"
"Even if the Reeds want to protect her, they probably can't. Do you think it's easy to deal with Piper
Kinney?"
"That's true. I guess Gwenda really asked for trouble this time."
The guests chattered amongst themselves.
Piper turned white with rage. "What else do you have left to say, Gwenda Evans!?"
"I've already said that it wasn't me!"
Gwenda glared at the boy. "He's lying."
"Don't you dare shove the blame onto my son!"
Naomi hugged her son tightly in attempt to protect him. "My boy is often well-behaved. He never lies!"
"Oh, just stop denying it, Gwenda. He's just a kid. How could he be so calculative as to pin the blame
on you?
The guests could not stand it any longer and began criticising her.
"That's right, he's just a child. He wouldn't lie! You're definitely the one who did this!"
"Just admit it, Gwenda!"
All those present took turns throwing their accusations around, refusing to give Gwenda a chance to
speak.
When she saw this scene, her expression had darkened so much that it looked terrifying.
Just as she was about to defend herself, a little girl came out of the crowd.
"Gramma..."
Piper turned to look and saw that it was her granddaughter. She hurried caught hold of her hand and
said, "Ellie, why are you here? You must have been frightened!"
"Gramma, it wasn't that lady who pushed Sylas into the pool. You've got it all wrong,"
Ellie Kinney said loudly as she held onto Piper's hands.
Hearing this, Piper frowned and said, "Don't speak such nonsense, dear. What do you know about
adult affairs?"
"I saw it with my own eyes. It was that bad guy who stole Sylas's toy and pushed him into the pool. It
was the lady who arrived in time to save him!"
Ellie said seriously as she pointed at Naomi's son.
Hearing this, Naomi's face darkened. "Miss Kinney, you can't talk nonsense. How could my son have
pushed anyone?"
"I'm not talking nonsense! I saw it with my own eyes! He's the one who pushed Sylas!!"
The girl's accusation stunned everyone present. Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
The Wright boy had turned deathly pale. He clutched the hem of Naomi's shirt, trembling with his head
down.
Seeing this, Piper seemed to realised something as she glared at Naomi. Gritting her teeth, she said,
"Naomi, you..."
"Impossible! That's absolutely impossible!"
Naomi vehemently denied it. "She must have gotten the wrong person! She's a child, how could she be
clear about things?"
"Huh, I wonder who was saying that children would never lie earlier."
Gwenda sneered coolly and Naomi was struck speechless.
...
Tagging her grandson along, Piper hurried up to the Wrights and yanked the boy away from his mother.
"Tell me, were you the one who did it?"
"I don't know... I don't know..."
The Wright boy was so scared that he burst into tears.
Seeing this, Naomi hurried over to protect her son. "Mrs. Kinney, you cannot make such accusations
based on the words of your granddaughter! My son would never do such a thing!"
"Bullsh*t! Ellie said that she saw it with her own eyes. It was definitely your son! Get out here!"
Piper was insistent on getting her hands on the Wright boy.
