Chapter 30 Epilogue
Kian and I had only been preparing for our wedding for a month. Our parents handle the cost of our wedding. Even though Kian and his parents wanted to handle it all. Our parents insisted that he’ll just use his money for the construction of our dream house.
While I was away, he started building our dream house. He was really confident that we would not be separated, because he continued anyway.
It was designed by an architecture student at the university we were attending. Just a little finishing and we can live already there.
After the wedding, we will fix the interior design of the house before we leave the country for our honeymoon. We’ll spend a month traveling abroad, before going back to the country. Back to work, business, and to start having a family of our own. It’s our mutual decision to have a baby.
The big church here in the city is decorated with different colors of fresh flowers. The church is also filled with our friends, acquaintances, relatives, and classmates from elementary to college. They had smiles on their lips as their eyes focused on me.
I feel so special right now. I feel like I’m the most beautiful woman on the face of the earth because of the amazement on their faces. Wearing color ivory, lacey, and a balloon gown, I walk down the aisle with a teary eye.
Never thought that this moment would come. That Kian and I would continue our plans. That I am still the one he will present at the altar after all the problems and trials we have gone through.
Dad stopped crying as he led me to the altar.
“You didn’t cry like this when you insisted Kian should marry me,” I joked to him.
He laughed at my joke.
“You are still our baby girl. Even at an early age, we taught you to be independent. You can afford to live alone while your Mom and I were busy with the business we were starting then. I am proud of you, dear. And I’m glad that you found a man who truly loves you. We didn’t make the mistake of insisting him on marrying you.”
I laughed at the last words he said. It’s true! We were not mistaken. I also have no regrets.
Kian on the altar was also crying. I still remember my joke while we were still in the preparation stage for our wedding.
“You should cry at our wedding. Because if you don’t cry, thank you for everything.”
He used to laugh at what I said. He had no answer. Maybe he knew that he would literally cry this day. He said he dreamt about me for a long time.
It’s all like a dream, but it’s real now. Our love for each other is true and pure.
Dad hugged Kian when we reached the altar.
“I told you this before, but I will say it again. Take care and love our one and only baby girl.”
“You can count on it, Dad,” he replied.
When he looked at me, his eyes watered again and he cried again.
“Congratulations!”
Kian’s introduction to his wedding vow made us all laugh.
“Congratulations on marrying me.”
I just covered my face with what he was saying. The crowd barked into laughter. He smiled and soon his eyes watered again. His hand holding the microphone trembled slightly as his lips twitched from refraining from crying.
Oh, my cry baby husband.
“I wanted to give myself a big tap on my shoulder. I feel so proud of myself.” He took a deep breath before smiling.
“I’m so proud of myself because you became mine. I’m so lucky. Uhm, no, I am the luckiest man alive because of you. I will give my best to be your better half. Thank you for your patience and love for me. I love you so much.”
I smiled as I listened to the words he uttered as my tears flowed steadily. I’ve been memorized my wedding vow last night but they all disappeared from my mind now.
“Kian, thank you. Thank you for your evil ways of making me yours.”
He laughed at what I said.
“It wasn’t a good and ideal start for us but with each passing day of being married to you, you prove to me how you love me possessively. Even though we were young and became aggressive, we didn’t let go of each other. I love you and will love you for the rest of our lives.”
I still have much to say but I still have many days to tell him.
In the mornings, we will wake up and meet another challenge of life. I will tell him the words that will motivate us both to move forward. Even in times of emergency.
And on the night in which we are tired of squabbling and struggling in every trial in our union. I will tell him how much I love him. Every day I will say how happy I am because he is with me in our until we reached being old.
The reception was held in a hotel. I can’t believe I can use here the few dance steps I learned from the few times I went to a bar.
It was led by our bridesmaids. Macy and Raul are busy dancing. Barbara, on the other hand, gave her best while her partner barely moved from his position.
Of course, will Yona and Eliot, the King and queen of the dance floor, will let this chance slip away? They really look good together. But they are not destined for each other.
“Our bride and groom!” the MC called us.Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
Kian barely moved at first but later he pushed me away and give his best which entertained everyone. I can no longer focus on the steps because I laugh at his stupidity.
The program is very good. Even though it was late at night, everyone’s energy was still high. Everyone has smiles on their faces.
It was so fulfilling.
After the program, we went up to our suite. We will stay here tonight until tomorrow night. The next day, it’s my shop’s opening so my husband and I will check it out.
I hold back my smile as I look at the contents of the paper bag Yona sent here to our suite.
Yona said that her sister had taught her this. A note has already been posted.
“Do your best. My in-laws will depend on your performance.”
I burst into laughter.
I drank the pineapple juice before simultaneously sniffing two pieces of snow bear.
What are you asking me to do, Yona! Or you’re just making fun of me? Kian was wearing a bathrobe when he came out of the bathroom. I quickly put the paper bag under the bed.
I smiled. I tapped my side. Before he could stand beside me, he had already taken off his bathrobe. I immediately stood between his thighs.
“Woah! Excited?”
I giggled and didn’t say anything. I immediately touched his manhood before I shot it in my mouth.
“What the!”
